From Haitian Hansy Vixamar, 55, when asked by a National Geographic writer “if he had any message for the world beyond his shaded Haitian refuge”:
Please tell the U.S. government to stop bothering our country and give us a chance to take destiny in our own hands. That will contribute to peace in the world.

It’s a pretty good bet that in a majority of the world’s countries a majority of the people would say the same thing. Someday that might even include a majority of the people in the United States. It most certainly would contribute to “peace in the world.”
