      I’m not sure. I know suicides far outnumber combat deaths. According to Wikipedia, not always the most accurate source, 20 vets commit suicide per day. That rate, if applicable since 1999, would give you a number in the ballpark of the number cited above. Wikipedia cites a report from the VA. It should be kept in mind that their suicide statistics encompasses veterans from all age groups.
