Mr. Gore:
I just finished “Everything I Need to Know About Business I Learned from the Godfather.” I loved it and am going to give it to my grown kids. I had just finished watching The Godfather and Part II for the ~20th time. It’s on TV a lot and are great movies. And reminded me of many things and people I observed growing up and living in the North East. Part III is not a good movie.
I also lived in Los Alamos for a while – but did not know that you grew up there until I opened up the book. It served to peak my interest further.
Surprisingly, I saw a review of your book in the Irish Examiner, a mouthpiece of proper-speak and other blather. The title was catchy. I read that paper so I can observe and recognize stupidity. I can guarantee you, although they reviewed the book, they didn’t really read it. They did a drive by based on the title. Had they read the book, there is absolutely no way they’d mention it, let alone publish a review, as they’d denounce you as an apostate to every article of faith in civil society and right-thinking people the world over. Every once in a while, common sense does peak out, and in the most unexpected places.
I found the key lessons in the book to be true – universal. But, I did get an MBA, at night, and not expensive (or all that prestigious). The classes and interactions helped me understand there are lots of ways to make money and lots interesting people who do it. It provided me with new skills I did not have at age 29 and improved the ones I had.
Good luck in your future endeavors!

Thanks for the nice comments on my book. I didn’t know that the Irish Examiner reviewed it. You’re right, if they read the book they’d write me off as an apostate.
When were you in Los Alamos? I was there from 1958 until I graduated high school in 1976.
Take care and I hope all your endeavors work out.
Robert
