From Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the United States:
There is no dignity quite so impressive, and no one independence quite so important, as living within your means.
According to McKinsey & Co., total world debt is over $199 trillion, and world GDP is about $70 trillion. The US government’s debt is over $18 trillion, and US GDP is a little over $17 trillion.
And of course don’t forget the world-wide flocks of the various derivative instruments flying around. Estimate of $1.4 trillion mas/menos sound about right?
Sorry,I meant quadrillion, not trillion. Sorry.
I think that’s in the right ballpark.
