People are always searching for a way to reverse the aging process; snake oils, miracle creams, cosmetic surgeries, etc. What if someone had truly found a fountain of youth? How far would some people go to preserve their youth and stop their bodies from aging? In his latest novel, Prime Deceit, Robert A. Gore takes you through a thrilling scenario with this theme.
A team of scientists, working with laboratory rats, find a hormone that may reverse the aging process. The government finds out and hijacks the project, rats and all. They confirm that indeed this hormone is a fountain of youth.
The book carries you through all the twists and turns of making the product available, but only to a select few. It has global consequences all the way from the U.S. to Russia and Syria. One large barrier arises but it doesn’t stop the elite “Menegeles” from their sinister plan. This book is a political satire that shows the corruption and greed that can prevail in political arenas.
I enjoyed the book very much. Like any good mystery novel, it builds and builds on itself. As you progress through the book it gets harder to put it down. At the end the author brings everything together with a much unexpected ending.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries and government conspiracies. It is short (only 139 pages) and is an easy read. After reading this book, I am looking forward to reading Robert A. Gore’s other books: The Gordian Knot, a legal thriller, and The Golden Pinnacle, a historical novel.
