Illegalizing Trump, by Eric Peters

To call all this banana republic is an insult to upstanding banana republics everywhere. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

Whether you like Trump or don’t, is it right – is it not dangerous – to say that those who do like him may not vote for him?

That is what’s percolating upward, bobbing to the surface of the sewage dump this country’s corrupted, co-opted political system has become. It is not merely that Trump must not be re-elected; it is that he must not be allowed to run for election. And it is even more than just that. People who want to vote for someone like Trump must not be allowed the chance to vote for anyone like Trump.

That is the Sicilian Message broadcast by the serial indictment of Trump. And by Leftist lawyers such as Laurence Tribe, who says the very Bad Orange Man is “disqualified” from running for office under the rubric of a “violation” of the 14th Amendment, enacted just after the federal government crushed the attempt by the Southern states to secede from a “union” they longer wished to be part of,  for his “role” in the protests the Left has framed as an “insurrection” that took place in January of 2021.

It is an interesting term to use – in both cases.

One response to “Illegalizing Trump, by Eric Peters

  1. For the first time in decades I have made a financial contribution to a candidate running for President. Vivek Ramaswamy. If the reader of this rant must ask “why,” they should likely stop reading this, as the obvious ought not to require explanation.

For the first time in a long time, I can actually say I shall vote FOR a candidate for President, and not just be voting against whoever might be his opponent! The problem, of course, is that he is not likely to appear on the ballot as a candidate for President. Trump’s name likely will, though as I assert below, I believe he will somehow be made to be “ineligible.”

Trump should immediately offer the VP slot to Vivek. He should do so for the following reasoning,

I believe the usual suspects will, using whatever means one can imagine, be successful in their goal of assuring Trump cannot again be elected President. In that eventuality, Ramaswamy’s name must remain on the ballot for voters to select. I can’t say that WILL be important, only that it MAY be important.

In any event, should Trump nominate him for VP, then subsequently, they should NEVER appear in public together.
Again, if the reader must ask “why,” they should likely stop reading this, as the obvious ought not to require explanation.

    Dave
