A great friend of mine, Leo Hohmann, an author, recently wrote an article asking whether or not Donald Trump’s flip-flop, going from anti-vaccine to being the biggest supporter of vaccines was intentional or “did he get rolled” by the opposition. It doesn’t really matter in the end, but what it does show is that Trump is no more a reliable defender of freedom and liberty than most Democrats, and he certainly isn’t the “stable genius” everyone tries to make him out to be. And it reveals just one symptom and a major consequence of the deeper problem we find when looking at a return of Trump to the Oval office.
No one, not even most Democrats, want to see Joe Biden remain in office after 2024, but even if Trump wins, it’s no guarantee that things will get much better, for a litany of reasons too vast to fully address here.
I stated my opposition to the lockdown from day one on the grounds that it violated our Inalienable God-given Rights, after Trump announced it on March 13th 2020, and I did much the same if fierce fashion when he began pushing his deeply flawed “vaccine”. What Trump did to us, whether intentional or “he got rolled”, was unconscionable and reveals just a few of the weaknesses I already knew existed in his character.
I dislike politics, it is the art of lying and politicians (all of them) are practitioners of the art. I have pointed out to many that on March 13, 2020 Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring a health emergency that enabled the Model State Health Emergency Act to be implemented and authorized billions of dollars to the states to enforce it. I have had only one person bother to read the MSHEA and responded to me by saying that although it is a dangerous law and caused all the shut downs it wasn’t Trump’s fault, he must have received bad advice. I don’t care if he’s complicit or incompetent, the result was the same. If he thought the states were going too far (which he once stated for the press) then all he had to do was issue another executive order rescinding the MSHEA and declaring the emergency over, he did not.
Trump is like all politicians, they will tell you whatever lie they think you want to hear so you will elect them and give power over your lives to them, and then they will do whatever they want, or are told not caring about the impact on the lives of those they rule.
