I have a very unusual perspective on Life. Perhaps this is the reason:
Ray lives in his sailboat.
His sailboat lives in the Ocean.
Therefore, Ray lives in the Ocean.
I have been alone at Sea for voyages that lasted as long as 30 days. During those times, my only companions lived in the Sea and the Sky. I was isolated from normal, human contact. There was no TV, no Internet, no texting.
But I did have abnormal human contact in the form of books. Great thinkers and writers were my crew-mates. Being far from the frenzy and low-grade lunacy of the Modern World, I could ponder their thinking, their eloquence, their wisdom.
One of the lessons that sang through many of their books was the danger of Humanity disconnecting itself from the Natural World. These wise men and women were warning us of this spiritual separation even a hundred years ago. Imagine how terrified they would be if they were alive today and witnessed how swiftly – and seemingly without question – we are replacing the Natural with the Artificial.
It was bad enough when real food began to give way to “artificial food products.” It was sad when real friends were replaced by “Facebook friends.” But, it is hideous when even the magnificent Human Brain is under attack from Ego-fevered scientists and New World Orderlies who are trying to impose Artificial Intelligence on the world!
Before discussing AI in particular, I’d like to focus on Artificiality in general. For millions of years, as we became Homo Sapiens Sapiens, we were vitally connected to the world that surrounded us. We hunted and foraged for our food. Later, we tilled the earth for our daily bread.
We moved with our legs and eventually domesticated a few species of animals to expand our travel horizons. We built rafts, canoes and sailing ships.
At WAR with reality and nature is natural manboon stupidity.
No happy ending can result.
We are a part of nature and not outside of it or conquerors.
My Richie Rich uncle does the exact same, sailing around on yacht in retirement and he was really shocked when he returned to CA recently.

I resent giving knowledge I earned hard by years of effort but there are people out there that deserve my generosity: I give you the meaning of Godel’s incompleteness theory .
It is as simple as this: Say no! Like a small child say no! They will measure you scientifically and show you the results and tell you look you are a piece of meat, a sophisticated piece of meat. Look if we cut a piece of your brain you will be different. You are meat. We measured you and we weighed you and found you to be meat. Now we give you this result and you must behave accordingly. Behave like a biological machine that fears it’s destruction and do what we goad you to do.
Of coarse if you say no! sticks and stones may broke your bones. But this is the price of you soul. Suffering and death is the price of free will.
This is the true meaning of Godel’s theory one of the most difficult demonstrations out there. And I verified that the meaning is correct by the words of Sir Roger Penrose who gave the same meaning. His expression was though less clear probably he is more guarded with his knowledge.
Your sole is not in your meat. It is not outside your meat. But you have to prove it by facing misery and death. That’s the great mathematical demonstration.
This only remembers me of the christian doctrine saying that life is a testing ground of your soul. It is definitely a testing ground of your free will under the pain of death.
