Geniuses on Education, by Paul Rosenberg

Most geniuses are self-taught. From Paul Rosenberg at freemansperspective.com:

This is a set of passages from my files: The thoughts of notable geniuses on the subject of education. I hope that parents, especially, will find them informative.

Albert Einstein

It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.

School failed me, and I failed the school. It bored me. The teachers behaved like sergeants. I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam… I felt that my thirst for knowledge was being strangled by my teachers; grades were their only measurement.

I learned mostly at home, first from my uncle and then from a student who came to eat with us once a week. He would give me books on physics and astronomy.

Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

Baruch Spinoza

Academies that are founded at public expense are instituted not so much to cultivate men’s natural abilities as to restrain them.

Ivan Illich

School is the advertising agency which makes you believe you need the society as it is.

  1. Education is a construct of the white male patriarchy and stupid people are easier to control. (s/)

Just read that 55% of “newcomer” replacements don’t even have a HS education and we all know they give those diplomas out just to make room for the next round of meat for the grinder as seen in the Pink Floyd video.

The PF video wasn’t against education, it was against indoctrination and conformity uber alles societies that are always totalitarian.

Since when does the hive that certainly doesn’t care about my best interest decide?

Socialism/Communism always fails due to human nature as putting aside your own survival for some collective is suicide.

Individuals change the world and uniqueness is the spice of life.

Having an open mind, ability to alter/modify your beliefs when presented with change my mind debate evidence and avoiding all crap food and entertainment are keys.

I’ll see teevee in the background as family enjoys the intravenous television continuum (h/t-MOAM) and laugh at how stupid it is, never had social media or sailfawn (phone) and never will.

Your head space is too valuable to let the forces of EVIL in.

  2. I learned far more from my parents (who taught me to self-educate), my life experiences growing up, my own pursuits, my own reading and subject choices than I ever did from “school”.
