They’re not afraid of Trump; they’re afraid of the millions who are behind Trump. From TL Davis at tldavis.substack.com:

As we devolve from a republic dependent on the rule of law, which requires an absence of corruption, into a communistic rule of man, or better addressed as authoritarian rule, we are watching the de-industrialization of the United States.

I understand the government wanting to eradicate small business that it can’t control nearly as easily or with such groveling cooperation as huge corporations, the owners of which can afford a few million in losses in order to appeal to the dinner circuit by going “green” or “woke” which are essentially the same thing. It’s the small businesses that drive employment, not multi-national corporations who easily shift their manufacturing to places with much lower labor costs.

Authoritarian rule is needed to drive small businesses out of business. To what extent the federal government has been able to control small businesses through the EPA, OHSA and the like, is due to an inherent communism built into the bureaucratic dictatorship that has developed in the Untied States under the current constitution. Though it is unconstitutional and has even been ruled as such at times, the EPA and now the ATF have been able to institute their own regulations, without the approval of congress, that gives them extraordinary power. That’s the unconstitutional part of what they’ve been able to implement.
