Wimpy is more trustworthy than Trump. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

Do you remember the character Wimpy from the old – the original, black-and-white era – Popeye cartoons? His signature wheedle was to offer to “gladly” pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. Something like that. The point being Wimpy was cheesy. A lovable scammer.

Is Trump lovable? Apparently he is to a lot of people – who are (so it seems) willing to apologize for or simply ignore everything he doesn’t do that he promised to do while at the same time dismissing things he has done that he never promised he’d do when was running for president – such as push for a federal ID card (the so-called “REAL” ID). Had he promised to push a REAL ID on us, it is likely many of us (me among them) would not have voted for him. I voted for less rather than more authoritarian government. How about you?

Back to Wimpy.

Trump – like Wimpy – made a promise when he was running that the creepy people who were clients of the even creepier Jeffrey Epstein would be brought to justice, as by revealing who exactly they were and – if the facts supported it – charged and prosecuted for what they were involved in, which was apparently the sex trafficking and abuse of underage girls by old men. Many of these men being powerful, rich and well-connected men. This almost certainly explains why there is “no timeline” as regards public disclosure of who – exactly – was on Epstein’s infamous list of clients, as was announced the other day by the president’s PR woman.
