There is such a drive to somehow “move on” past the Epstein affair that the documents and other material being held by the government must be explosive. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

It is the memory-holing of the Epstein Business by the people who are likely either participants in whatever sordidness was going on or aiding and abetting the shoving-under-the-rug of the sordidness – for reasons all too easy and awful to guess.
Instead, the diversion we are presented with is a pretend-play investigation of Adam “shifty” Schiff and the ex-president whose name is Barry, not “Barack.” The latter becoming Blackish when it was perceived (correctly) as being politically advantageous to be Blackish. Just not too much (per Joe Biden).
Nothing, it goes without saying, is going to happen to any of them – beyond sturm-und-drang Tweets that people who smoke Hopium believe means something is going to happen.
Certainly nothing is going to happen our Dear Friend Dr. Fauci, the American iteration of Josef Mengele. It is interesting to note that Herr Docktor Mengele didn’t get a moment’s peace in his retirement, being pursued by the Israelis to the very end of his nasty life. Where is our Herr Docktor? Not in hiding, like Mengele – because why would he?
He knows he’s safe.
This tells us something about how safe we are.
