How many Republicans are going to follow Marjorie Taylor Green and not stand for reelection to the House of Representatives? From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

It is being reported that more Republican members of Congress are on the verge of doing the MTG and bailing out of Congress. The reason? Well, one of them is the expectation – which takes on the cast of certainty at this point – that Republican members of Congress “know they are going into the minority after the midterms.”

“More explosive early resignations are coming. It’s a tinder box. Morale has never been lower. Mike Johnson will be stripped of his gavel and they will lose the majority before this term is out.”

No one likes to be a member of a losing team. It is better to cut bait before the losing really begins. When – not if – the Republicans lose their tenuous majority – they will lose the power to hold back the tsunami of retribution that is coming as surely as winter follows fall. If they lose it bigly – as they did the recent state-level elections in Virginia and New Jersey (as well as New York City) – it will be evident to all that “MAGA” is as over as wide-collar shirts and pet rocks. “MAGA” is bracketed in air fingers quote marks to convey the fact that it stopped being that sometime around the time Trump exploded when a reporter asked him about the Epstein Stuff. Since that explosion, it has been everything but America First.
