From The Babylon Bee:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Leader of the free world and President of the United States Joe Biden issued an apology to the American people for an embarrassing blunder that had occurred earlier, stating the following:

“As President, the buck stops with me, pause for dramatic effect. Earlier, I read the wrong words in the teleprompter, don’t say telecommuter or helicopter. I apologize for my latest teleprompter gaffe, end apology.”

Following the public statement, members of the press were quickly ushered out of the fake press room and off the premises where the duct tape was removed from their mouths. The journalists then began reporting on the relief of having a gracious, humble president who was not Trump.

Biden aides quickly logged into Twitter to remind everyone that Biden did not actually say those things that the whole world watched him say.

At publishing time, Biden’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had responded to questions about his capacity to serve as president with the poignant reminder she was a black, gay, immigrant woman.

Biden “Misspeaks” In Vow To Respond Militarily If China Attacks Taiwan, White House Walks Back, by Tyler Durden

Another day, another Biden gaffe, another hasty effort to repair the damage. Nothing major, just the U.S.’s relations with China. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Update(7:41am ET)Biden’s Taiwan statements are now being presented as yet another high stakes moment wherein the ageing president “misspeaks” – according to Bloomberg.

* * *

While on a visit to Japan to meet with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, President Joe Biden said that American troops would defend Taiwan if it came under attack from China.

“You didn’t want to get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons. Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” a reporter asked Biden during a news conference. “Yes,” Biden replied.

Biden keeping up employment at the gaffe factory, at least, by Howie Carr

Some of Biden’s garbles are gems—hilarious. From Howie Carr at bostonherald.com:

It’s Weekend at Biden’s again, and Dementia Joe Biden has been pondering the dysfunction that plagues these fruited plains. Specifically, Brandon frets about mentally impaired people wandering America’s streets:

“(People) who are just deranged, who are, who are susceptible, who are, who are just lost and and don’t know what to do, and they’re easily taken, they’re easily sucked in, and it’s gotta stop, we have to admit it, I don’t know why we don’t admit what the hell’s goin’ on. Anyway …”

Got a mirror, Mr. President?

As always, all dialogue guaranteed verbatim.

Now Biden is in Asia visiting, among other places, South Korea and “President Moon Yoon” (his name is Yoon Seok-Youl).

But before Brandon departed the assisted-living facility at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, he warmly welcomed some visitors to the White House:

“I thank all of you for being here, and I want you to enjoy the rest of the recession.”

CNN’s April Ryan Strikes Out At Reporters Disclosing Embarrassing Comments From Joe Biden, by Jonathan Turley

Absolutely no one will be allowed to report on the naked emperor. From Jonathan Turley at jonathanturley.org:

We have been discussing the open bias shown by the media in the last four years. It is not clear if we can regain the ground lost for journalism as even journalism professors call for the rejection of objectivity in favor of advocacy. This has included shielding Joe Biden from any challenging questions during the recent election. That includes the news blackout on reporting on the Hunter Biden scandal, the subject of my column today in the Hill. CNN’s April Ryan personifies this trend. Even as the media is facing widespread criticism for burying the Hunter Biden story (and is now doing the same with the Swalwell scandal), Ryan lashed out at confidential sources responsible for leaking a recording of Joe Biden making embarrassing comments about the “defund the police” movement. Ryan is demanding to know who is responsible for allowing the embarrassing comments to be made public despite her past enthusiastic discussion of such leaks against President Donald Trump.

President-elect Biden lashed out at the “defund the police” movement this week in a meeting with civil rights leaders, stating  “That’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country, saying that we’re talking about defunding the police. We’re not.” The recording was obtained by The Intercept.

What I felt was most notable was that Biden said that he would not share his plans for reforming the police until after the Georgia runoff to avoid any backlash from voters. While NBC paraphrased the quote as Biden warning “about getting ‘too far ahead of ourselves’ with critical Senate runoff elections in Georgia on Jan. 5,” it was more direct and disturbing than that.
