There is at least one silver lining in the coronavirus outbreak: nobody is going to believe expert projections anymore, and that may carry over to things like climate models and economic forecasts. Of course, that doesn’t mean that any of these so-called expert modelers will ever lose their jobs. Meanwhile, common sense remains scarce. The nightly litany:
