Red Flags Soar As Big Pharma Will Be Exempt From COVID-19 Vaccine Liability Claims, by Tyler Durden

If you’re more scared of Covid-19 than the vaccine they will have rushed to development for it, you might want to rethink your fears. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Last week we warned readers to be cautious about new COVID-19 vaccines, highlighting how key parts of the clinical trials are being skipped as big pharma will not be held accountable for adverse side effects for administering the experimental drugs.

A senior executive from AstraZeneca, Britain’s second-largest drugmaker, told Reuters that his company was just granted protection from all legal action if the company’s vaccine led to damaging side effects.

“This is a unique situation where we as a company simply cannot take the risk if in … four years the vaccine is showing side effects,” said Ruud Dobber, a top exec at AstraZeneca.

“In the contracts we have in place, we are asking for indemnification. For most countries, it is acceptable to take that risk on their shoulders because it is in their national interest,” said Dobber, adding that Astra and regulators were making safety and tolerability a top priority.

AstraZeneca is one of the 25 pharmaceutical companies across the world, testing experimental drugs that could be used to combat the deadly virus. And, of course, if testing yields positive results, AstraZeneca could manufacture hundreds of millions of doses, with no legal recourse if side effects are seen.

European officials told Reuters that product liability was a significant discussion to secure new vaccine drugs from Pfizer, Sanofi, and Johnson & Johnson.

As for the US, well, when it comes to the legal framework around vaccines, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) already has a law called the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act, which provides immunity to vaccine companies if something goes wrong.

The big pharmaceutical companies are anticipating a big payday from a coronavirus vaccine. From Jon Rappoport at nomorefakenews.com:

“We are talking about private contracts outside the scope of government. We’re talking about local barter, and the issuing of local currencies, the building of private money systems. During the Great Depression, many citizens looked around and said, ‘We still have land and food, we still have commodities. Nothing has changed here. We just have to invent a way to conduct commerce among ourselves.’ One estimate states that, during the Depression of the 1930s, there were 1500 private money systems across America.” (My notes for “The Underground”)

I have made my case concerning the fake pandemic. Many times now.

From the beginning—the failure to isolate, purify, or actually discover a novel coronavirus by correct procedures. The meaningless diagnostic tests and the meaningless case numbers. The propaganda. The use of “the virus” as a cover story obscuring high-level corporate and government crimes.

Of course, many people believe in the COVID-19 virus. And of these, some have been seeking treatments outside the bounds of government certification.

This is their right. They are exercising freedom in managing their own health. And so some of them are taking hydroxychloroquine (HCQ).

The FDA, which certifies all medical drugs as safe and effective, before they are released for public use, has not recommended HCQ for COVID treatment. It has banned the drug for that purpose, outside of hospitals and clinical trials.

Say it isn’t so. Surely large corporations wouldn’t use the power of government to stifle a cheaper and more effective product. From Monica Showalter at americanthinker.com:

When President Trump brought up hydroxychloroquine as a promising potential treatment for COVID-19, a huge upsurge of negative political publicity followed from it.  It was strange stuff, because up until then, the treatment, which had been safely used to treat malaria, lupus, and arthritis, had been seeing promising results for COVID-19, too.  Yet the condemnations from all sides poured for weeks.  It wasn’t just the political establishment blasting it; it seemed to be the medical establishment, too.  That raises questions as to whether financial interests might be involved here.

It started with the press engaging in its customary contrarianism against Trump when he called the treatment “promising.”  The logic was simple: If Trump liked it, then it had to be bad.

How the CDC Combats Health Freedom Through Front Groups, by Joseph Mercola

The CDC is supposed to be about science, completely detached from politics and particularly the drug industry. That’s not the way it works in real life. From Joseph Mercola at lewrockwell.com:

While the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is supposed to be an independent organization watching out for public health, it has repeatedly demonstrated that it is working on behalf of the drug industry.

Not only does the CDC accept funding from the drug industry,1 which in and of itself may influence its public health recommendations, it also has front groups that lobby for mandatory vaccinations and seek to suppress information about vaccine risks.

One of them is the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO),2 an organization whose mission is “focused on being a leader, partner, catalyst and voice for change for local health departments around the nation.”

While its name and mission statement would make you think it’s a member-funded organization, it actually operates primarily on government grants, and the CDC is a primary source.3 Seven of 11 funding priorities for NACCHO programs also come from the CDC.4 As revealed by Sott.net, membership dues only amount to about 2% of the organization’s annual revenues.5

CDC Petitioned to Stop Lying About Pharma Funds, by Joseph Mercola

The CDC says it doesn’t take money from special interest groups, notably pharmaceutical companies, but it does. From Joseph Mercola at lewrockwell.com:

The fact that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention accepts millions of dollars in funding from drug companies and vaccine makers is no minor problem. It may in fact be at the very heart of why so many harmful and nonsensical health recommendations end up being pushed down our throats.

The CDC has long fostered the perception of independence by stating it does not accept funding from special interests. In disclaimers peppered throughout the CDC website1 and in its publications, it says the agency “does not accept commercial support” and has “no financial interests or other relationships with the manufacturers of commercial products.”

Several watchdog groups — including the U.S. Right to Know (USRTK), Public Citizen, Knowledge Ecology International, Liberty Coalition and the Project on Government Oversight — are now petitioning2 the CDC to cease making these false disclaimers.3

America’s Well-hidden Iatrogenic Epidemic of Drug- and Vaccine-induced Disorders, by Gary G. Kohls, M.D.

An iatrogenic disease is one caused by an ostensible medication, vaccination, or surgery. Nobody likes to talk about it, but there’s a lot of iatrogenic diseases going around. From Gary G. Kohls, M.D. at lewrockwell.com:

Definition: An iatrogenic condition is a state of ill health caused by medical, surgical, drug or vaccine treatments. It may qualify as the 3rdmost common cause of death in the United States.

For much more information about this hidden healthcare crisis of iatrogenesis, please read one of the articles that I have written about drug- and vaccine-induced iatrogenic disorders at.

In that article, I quoted statistics from an article that was written by Barbara Stanfield, MD, MPH, that had been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA, July 26, 2000—Vol 284, No. 4).

Stanfield’s article was titled “Is US Health Really the Best in the World?” It can be read at the following site.

In the article, Stanfield included the following statistics from her research on America’s iatrogenic deaths:

  • 12,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery in hospitals
  • 7,000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals
  • 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals
  • 80,000 deaths/year from nosocomial infections in hospitals
  • 106,000 deaths/year from non-error, adverse effects of medications in hospitals

Combining these five groups gives us a total of 225,000 in-patient deaths. The 225,000 number does not include out-patient iatrogenic deaths that occur at home, iatrogenic nursing home deaths or even non-lethal, chronic illnesses or disabilities. In any case, this number alone easily constitutes the third leading cause of death in the United States, behind heart disease and cancer.
