Stopping the Revolution: Restore Law and Order, by Vasko Kohlmayer

A government that cannot maintain law and order, a government’s first duty, is not a government. From Vasko Kohlmayer at lewrockwell.com:

In the previous piece we argued that the upheaval that has been convulsing America in the last four months is a revolution in progress.

This revolution has been launched by American Marxists and its goal is seizure of power through the destabilization and demoralization of our society.

We must see these events for what they are and act accordingly. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a national emergency. To prevent Marxist radicals from taking over proper measures must be taken.

The most immediate and urgent need is to restore law and order. If government has any justification at all, it is to maintain the rule of law so that its citizens are safe in their persons and property. Any government that fails to keep law and order abrogates its most basic responsibility. Such government forsakes the very duty which is given as the main reason for its existence.

No society can function successfully without the rule of law. When the rule of law is absent civil society breaks down and violence and chaos inevitably follow. Lawless societies are ripe for takeover by criminal or revolutionary elements (which are often one and the same thing). Marxist revolutionaries have always been aware of this, which is why they have sought to foment chaos and turmoil in their target countries. It is in the midst of such societal disarray that they can rise to power. And after they succeed, they invariably unleash a reign of terror.

Reconsidering the Presidential Election, by the Saker

Many people, including the Saker, have misgivings about Trump but will vote for him because they’re pretty sure he won’t turn the country over to violent criminals. From the Saker at unz.com:

In early July I wrote a piece entitled “Does the next Presidential election even matter?” in which I made the case that voting in the next election to choose who will be the next puppet in the White House will be tantamount to voting for a new captain while the Titanic is sinking. I gave three specific reasons why I thought that the next election would be pretty much irrelevant:

  1. The US system is rigged to give all the power to minorities and to completely ignore the will of the people
  2. The choice between the Demolicans and the Republicrats is not a choice at all
  3. The systemic crisis of the US is too deep to be affected by who is in power in the White House

I have now reconsidered my position and I now see that I was wrong because I missed something important:

A lot has happened in the past couple of months and I now have come to conclude that while choosing a captain won’t make any difference to a sinking Titanic, it might make a huge difference to those passengers who are threatened by a group of passengers run amok. In other words, while I still do not think that the next election will change much for the rest of the planet (the decay of the Empire will continue), it is gradually becoming obvious that for the United States the difference between the two sides is becoming very real.

Why?

This is probably the first presidential election in US history where the choice will be not between two political programs or two political personalities, but the stark and binary choice between law and order and total chaos.

It is now clear that the Dems are supporting the rioting mobs and that they see these mobs as the way to beat Trump.

What’s Most Important? by Walter E. Williams

When politicians talk about law and order, it’s often said that its code for a racist, anti-black agenda. Yet black people in inner-city ghettoes are the most hurt by crime. From Walter E. Williams at lewrockwell.com:

Let’s think about priorities. Say that you live in one of the dangerous high crime and poor schooling neighborhoods of cities like Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit or St. Louis. Which is most important to you: doing something about public safety and raising the quality of education or, as most black politicians do, focusing energies upon President Donald Trump and who among the 20 presidential contenders will lead the Democratic Party? The average American has no inkling about the horrible conditions in which many blacks live. Moreover, they wouldn’t begin to tolerate living under those conditions themselves.

In Chicago, one person is shot every four hours and murdered every 18 hours. Similar crime statistics can be found in many predominantly black neighborhoods in Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis and many other large cities. It’s not just an issue of public safety, for high crime has other devastating consequences.

Crime lowers the value of property. We can see some of this when housing prices skyrocket in formerly high crime areas when large numbers of middle- and upper-income people purchase formerly run-down properties and fix them up. This is called gentrification — wealthier, predominantly white, people move in to renovate and restore slum housing in inner cities, causing higher rental prices and forcing low-income residents out. Also, as a result of gentrification, crime falls and neighborhood amenities increase.
