For Every Whistleblower They Make An Example Of, They Prevent A Thousand More, by Caitlin Johnstone

The way those who tell the truth about the government are treated by the government, you’re not going to have a long line of people signing up for whistleblower positions. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

Whistleblower Daniel Hale has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison after pleading guilty to leaking secret government information about America’s psychopathic civilian-slaughtering drone assassination program.

The sentence was much harsher than Hale’s defense requested but not nearly as harsh as US prosecutors pushed for, arguing that longer prison sentences are necessary for deterring whistleblowing in the US intelligence cartel.

The Dissenter’s Kevin Gosztola reports:

Despite the fact that Hale pled guilty on March 31 to one of the five Espionage Act offenses he faced, prosecutors remained spiteful and unwilling to support anything less than a “significant sentence” to “deter” government employees or contractors from “using positions in the intelligence community for self-aggrandizement.”

In other words, if you tell the public the truth about your government’s crimes, you will be made an example of so nobody else tries to do that. And then for that brave and selfless act, you’ll be smeared as doing it for “self-aggrandizement”.

The Left’s Way: Violence, Fraud and Intimidation, by Vasko Kohlmayer

The incident involving two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers offers an instructive coarse in leftist morality—there is none. From Vasko Kohlmayer at lewrockwell.com:

A revealing incident took place in Wayne County, Michigan last week. What happened is highly instructive, because it exposes the left’s modus operandi. It is important that we learn from it and take measures to prevent its recurrence, because if we don’t, this country will fall into the hands of brutal leftist totalitarians.

In Wayne County two Republican members of the county’s Board of Canvassers, Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, initially refused to certify the results of the obviously fraud-ridden election. Wayne County, by the way, includes the city of Detroit which has been continuously controlled by corrupt Democrats since 1962. Not surprisingly, Detroit has been known to suffer from election irregularities for many years. In this election, among other concerns, around 70 percent of Wayne County precincts were found to be “out of balance,” which means that the number of ballots cast did not match the number of people who signed in to vote.

The refusal to certify this vote with its glaring irregularities made the two honest officials an immediate target of intimidation and blackmail. Within minutes of their decision, death threats began pouring in. “The [death] threats have been made against myself, my daughter and my husband,” Monica Palmer told Detroit Free Press. The threats that Monica Palmer referred to in this statement were conveyed to her privately. But there was more to come publicly so that the whole world could see just how brazen and vicious the American political left is.

The Cancel Culture Moves Against Trump Lawyers, by Chris Farrell

Cancel culture is engaging in its usual odious tactics to intimidate Trump’s lawyers.. From Chris Farrell at gatestoneinstitute.org:

  • Now, the Never-Trumper “Republicans” of the Lincoln Project… have dreamed up a way to self-righteously interfere with legal due process.

  • Reminder: our system of justice guarantees citizens the presumption of innocence and the ability to access the courts to address torts and grievances.

  • The larger point to consider is that should a Biden presidency come about, these sorts of tactics — and the general, national shift to centralized government control — will increasingly be compulsory. It is a philosophical thing. Big Government, Big Media, Big Tech, Big Medicine, Big Solutions — all at the expense of the individual: Individual rights, individual property, personal wealth, personal privacy, individual responsibility, personal conscience. Those will all have to be compromised supposedly for the greater good — especially if you supported Trump.

According to civil rights attorney Harmeet Dhillon (pictured), lawyers representing Republicans have received death threats and been “doxxed” by people opposing the Trump-Pence campaign’s ability to lawfully challenge contentious election results. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images)

Thanks to The Lincoln Project, attorneys at Jones Day and Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP are on “the List.” What list? The List of people to be identified, catalogued, written about and punished for cooperating with Republican election campaigns. Bloomberg News reported it a week ago and we have The Lincoln Project’s own Twitter feed explaining their thinking.
