The Case for Dismantling the FBI, by Charles C. W. Cooke

The FBI was a bad idea from the start. From Charles C. W. Cooke of The National Review at archive.ph:

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R., Fla.) delivers an opening statement in Washington, D.C., December 11, 2019. (Joshua Roberts/Reuters)

The bureau is a violent, expansionist, self-aggrandizing, and careless outfit that sits awkwardly within the American constitutional order.

In the New York Times this week, Bret Stephens complained that, in unholy conjunction with the Department of Justice, the FBI had disgraced itself yet again with its public smear of Representative Matt Gaetz. “I don’t like Gaetz’s politics or persona any more than you do,” Stephens told a characteristically bewildered Gail Collins. “But what we seem to have here is a high-profile politician being convicted in the court of public opinion of some of the most heinous behavior imaginable—trafficking a minor for sex—until the Justice Department realizes two years late that its case has fallen apart.”

Which . . . well, yeah. That’s what the FBI is for. Last week, a whistleblower named Kyle Seraphin told the Washington Times that the FBI had adopted “an entirely ridiculous internal process for determining every single national priority.” One must ask: “ridiculous” from whose perspective? Relative to the FBI’s stated mission, its behavior does indeed look “ridiculous.” Relative to its historical conduct, its behavior seems pretty standard. What the FBI did to Matt Gaetz is precisely what it did to Donald Trump. And what it did to Donald Trump is what it’s been doing since it was founded: namely, spying on, or attempting to discredit, anyone who irritates the powers that be.

The Golden Rule and the Hunter Biden Scandal: Three Questions Raised by the FBI Leak, by Jonathan Turley

It’s a classic DOJ and FBI trick for well-connected Democrats neck deep in crime and corruption. Charge them for relatively insignificant violations of the law and let them skate on the big ones. From Jonathan Turley at jonathanturley.org:

Below is my column in the Hill on the noticeably narrow scope of charges referenced in the recent FBI leak from the Delaware investigation. The leak raises a number of intriguing questions in its wake.

Here is the column:

President Biden’s hot mic moment during a visit to hurricane-stricken Florida — in which he muttered that “No one f–ks with a Biden” — left many people confused. His Sopranos-like warning might not deter developing hurricanes but it has succeeded for years in Washington as a kind of “Biden Golden Rule.” Neither prosecutors nor the press have seemed interested in pursuing allegations of criminal or corrupt practices by some members of the Biden family.

Now, after years of investigation, reports indicate that FBI agents are convinced ample evidence exists to charge the president’s son Hunter Biden on gun- and tax-related charges. Those charges (and a possible plea) may be the best-case scenario for the Bidens — and many others in Washington. Indeed, the reported narrow scope of a possible indictment is strikingly similar to what I previously described as the ideal “controlled demolition” of the Hunter Biden scandal.

Three questions immediately arise from this Justice Department leak, and the concern is that all three may be answered by the Biden Golden Rule:

For the Bidens, justice delayed is justice

The first question is why, in an investigation that began in 2018, the Justice Department only now believes it could charge over false statements on a gun registration form and on tax evasion. Both crimes were well established years ago.

It’s Only A ‘Conspiracy Theory’ When It Accuses The US Government, by Caitlin Johnstone

Ironically, there are probably more conspiracies going on within the U.S. government than within any other institution on the planet. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

The western political/media class has been dismissing as “conspiracy theories” all claims that the US is likely responsible for last month’s sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, even while leveling the exact same accusations against Russia without ever using that term. Which probably says a lot about the way that label has been used over the years, if you think about it.

At a UN Security Council meeting on Friday, US envoy Richard Mills repeatedly accused Russia of promoting “conspiracy theories” in its Nord Stream accusations against the United States, saying that “our Russian colleagues have decided to instrumentalize the Security Council meeting to spread conspiracy theories and disinformation.”

“It’s important that we use this meeting not to foster conspiracy theories, but to focus our attention on Russia’s blatant violation of the Charter and its crimes in Ukraine,” Mills argues, after saying that “the United States categorically denies any involvement in this incident” and that there is no justification for “the Russian delegation raising conspiracy theories and mass disinformation in this Council.”

Uncle Sam’s Long Trail of Wreckage, by Ted Galen Carpenter

Everything the U.S. government has touched since World War II it has ruined. From Ted Galen Carpenter at theamericanconservative.com:

Very few policymakers even concede that Washington’s overseas military adventures often have not turned out as planned.

The leaders and most of the news media in the U.S. seem to believe that Washington’s foreign policy over the past several decades has been a success and benefitted both the United States and the world. That assumption wasn’t really true even during the Cold War, although that confrontation eventually resulted in the peaceful demise of America’s nasty totalitarian adversary. There was plenty of collateral damage along the way, with the suffering caused by Washington’s conduct in Vietnam and Afghanistan being the most glaring examples.

The performance of U.S. leaders after the Cold War has been even worse. An array of disruptive, bloody tragedies—most notably those in the Balkans, Afghanistan (again), Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen—mark Uncle Sam’s global trail of wreckage. The Biden administration’s decision to use Ukraine as a pawn in Washington’s power struggle with Russia is fast becoming the latest example.

Very few policymakers even concede that Washington’s overseas military adventures often have not turned out as planned. The news media, which is supposed to serve as the public’s watchdog, have routinely ignored or excused America’s foreign-policy disasters. Instead, when one intervention fails, they simply move on to lobby for the next crusade pushed by U.S. leaders.  Consider how few news accounts now deal with the ongoing violence and chaos in places such as Libya, Syria, and Yemen, even though Washington was a major contributor to all of those tragedies. Paul Poast, a scholar with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, aptly describes the conflict in Syria as America’s “forgotten war.” “That the war in Syria has become the “forgotten war,” he observes, “points to a more disturbing trend in U.S. foreign policy: The United States is so engaged in wars and interventions around the world that a conflict involving the U.S. military that has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians does not even register with the American public anymore.”

Federal Bureau of Intimidation, The Government’s War on Political Freedom, by John and Nisha Whitehead

The FBI has evolved into an American Gestapo. From John and Nisha Whitehead at rutherford.org:

“In so many of the little places of everyday life in which life is lived out, somehow democracy doesn’t exist. And one of the creeping hands of totalitarianism running through the democracy is the Federal Bureau of Investigation… Because why does the FBI do all this? To scare the hell out of people… They work for the establishment and the corporations and the politicos to keep things as they are. And they want to frighten and chill the people who are trying to change things.”—Howard Zinn, historian

Discredit, disrupt, and destroy.

That is how the government plans to get rid of activists and dissidents who stand in its way.

This has always been the modus operandi of the FBI (more aptly referred to as the Federal Bureau of Intimidation): muzzle anti-government sentiment, harass activists, and terrorize Americans into compliance.

Indeed, the FBI has a long history of persecuting, prosecuting and generally harassing activists, politicians, and cultural figures.

Back in the 1950s and ‘60s, the FBI’s targets were civil rights activists, those suspected of having Communist ties, and anti-war activists. In more recent decades, the FBI has expanded its reach to target so-called domestic extremists, environmental activists, and those who oppose the police state.

Back in 2019, President Trump promised to give the FBI “whatever they need” to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism, without any apparent thought for the Constitution’s prohibitions on such overreach.

That misguided pledge sheds a curious light on the FBI’s latest nationwide spree of SWAT team raids, surveillance, disinformation campaigns, fear-mongering, paranoia, and strong-arm tactics.

Mockingbird media dishes up a load of (half) truth, 50 years too late, by Leo Hohmann

The infiltration of Los Alamos National Lab by the Chinese is part of a comprehensive espionage effort. Only now does the mainstream media take notice. From Leo Hohmann at leohohmann.com:

The story I’m about to share is not terribly shocking, at least not to those of us who are awake, but I find the timing, along with the source, a bit ominous.

It comes from a mainstream corporate media outlet, NBC News, and it tells us that the modern military machine owned by the Chinese Communist Party is basically a creation of the United States.

Now why is the source and the timing of this story important?

Along with Facebook, Twitter, CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times, NBC is at the epicenter of the CIA-led mockingbird media, totally under the thumb of the globalist deep state, shilling for the technocratic beast system that’s being erected before our very eyes.

If you aren’t familiar with the CIA’s Operation Mockingbird, look it up and study it.

Well-paid, professional propagandists, posing as journalists, are working hand-in-glove with the government, education system and large corporations to destroy the U.S. as we know it and merge what’s left into a technocratic one-world authoritarian system. The model system for the Communist States of America is China, where everyone is surveilled, tracked, monitored, assessed and socially scored 24/7 in real time. These ministers of propaganda use every manner of false reasoning and errors of omission to nudge you into their false narrative. Whether it’s climate change, vaccines, gun control, abortion, transgenderism, the pandemic of the month or the next big war, it’s all professionally served up in holy, self-righteous style. Eat this, don’t eat that, drive this, don’t drive that, inject this, live here, don’t live there, cover your face, stand on the X, sign up for your digital ID, etc. Obey and get promoted. Disobey and get demoted, canceled, disbarred, reviewed, revoked.

Breaking News: Edward Snowden Granted Russian Citizenship, by Paul Craig Roberts

It says nothing good about America that truth teller Edward Snowden sought citizenship in Russia. From Paul Craig Roberts at paulcraigroberts.org:

Today Edward Snowden was granted Russian citizenship. Snowden had to flee his country, because he released information that proved that the NSA was, and still is, illegally spying on US citizens.  The presstitutes will use Snowden’s grant of citizenship as proof that he was a Russian spy, not a patriotic whistleblower trying to alert his countrymen to their danger.

I would like to give some background. Edward Snowden was the second American who blew the whistle about illegal NSA spying on American citizens.

William Binney was the first.  Binney was a Russian specialist with the National Security Agency.  He developed the spy program that was supposed to be used against America’s enemies, but was illegally used against the American population.  Binney, despite being the NSA Geopolitical World Technical Director, a high position, blew the whistle on the illegal activity, comparing it to activities of the KGB, Stasi, Gestapo, and SS.

As a consequence the US government decided to destroy him.  In July 2007 a dozen heavily armed FBI Gestapo broke into his home and arrested him while he was taking a shower.  His economic livelihood was destroyed, and the government attempted to prosecute him.

However, Binney exposed the illegal spying internally through the official whistleblower program, and he did not take any documents as proof of the illegal spying on US citizens. As a result of these precautions, Binney could not be prosecuted, and the information that the US government was illegally spying on its own citizens did not get out.

FBI Misled Judge, Then Seized $86 Million In Cash From Beverly Hills Safe-Deposit Boxes, by Tyler Durden

Don’t think that the FBI concentrates on political skullduggery but has not yet been thoroughly corrupted. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

The FBI ‘drilled and pried’ their way into 1,400 safe-deposit boxes at a private vault company in Beverly Hills after misleading a judge about their plan to permanently confiscate everything inside every box containing at least $5,000 in cash or goods, a senior FBI agent recently testified.

They rummaged through personal belongings of a jazz saxophone player, an interior designer, a retired doctor, a flooring contractor, two Century City lawyers and hundreds of others.

Agents took photos and videos of pay stubs, password lists, credit cards, a prenuptial agreement, immigration and vaccination records, bank statements, heirlooms and a will, court records show. In one box, agents found cremated human remains. –LA Times

The FBI and US attorney’s office in Los Angeles justified the 5-day dragnet forfeiture at the US Private Vaults store by assuming that hundreds of anonymous box holders were storing assets somehow tied to unknown crimes.

At the end of the operation, agents had recovered more than $86 million in cash, and a ‘bonanza’ of gold, silver, rare coins, jewelry and other items of value.

Now, around 700 box holders who aren’t implicated in any crimes liken the raid to police barging into a building’s 700 apartments and taking every tenant’s possessions when the only evidence of wrongdoing is against the landlord.

The plaintiffs in the class-action suit have asked U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner to declare the raid unconstitutional. If he grants the request, it could force the FBI to return millions of dollars to box holders whose assets it has tried to confiscate.

It could also spoil an unknown number of criminal investigations by blocking prosecutors from using any evidence or information acquired in the raid, including guns and drugs. -LA Times

Ukraine: The CIA’s 75-year-old Proxy, by Gerald Sussman

The CIA and Ukraine, particularly Ukrainian Nazis, go way back. From Gerald Sussman at covertactionmagazine.com:

Joe Biden “is fueling the fire in the Ukraine.”

—Roger Waters of Pink Floyd

t takes a musical artist to cut through the morass of propaganda to educate American mainstream media (MSM) about the Russia-Ukraine crisis and the roleof the United States in instigating that conflict for its own nefarious ends.

The MSM have constructed an undiluted narrative about “Putin’s War” that disguises America’s imperialist expansion into eastern Europe. It is utterly Orwellian in its effort to project onto Russia what the U.S. and its main imperial ally, the UK (which a British journalist deemed “America’s tugboat”), have been doing non-stop since 1945—and indeed for centuries.

Looking back, the U.S. under Truman began the policy of turning enemies (Germany, Japan) into friends and friends (the important war-time alliance with the USSR) into enemies. The CIA, established in 1947, was the main clandestine instrument of this policy, working closely with the neo-Nazi Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) to carry out acts to sabotage, divide and destabilize the Soviet state.

OUN logo [Source: wikimedia.org]

The OUN, in particular the faction led by the German ally Stepan Bandera and his second in command, Yaroslav Stetsko, OUN-B, was a violently anti-semitic, anti-communist, and anti-Russian organization, which collaborated with the Nazi occupation and actively participated in the slaughter of millions of Poles, Ukrainian Jews, and ethnically Russian and Ukrainian communists in the region. Nonetheless, The Washington Post treated Stetsko as a national hero, a “lonely patriot.”

M’kay Ultra MAGA, by Good Citizen

How long can they keep up the brainwashing and how many will continue to succumb? From Good Citizen at thegoodcitizen.substack.com:

Waiting for the election false flag already signaled by the dementia patient in the high castle.

Trying to predict the future has always been a goal of those seeking wealth and riches or to build confidence in others willing to part with their money to hear some dynamite prophecies.

The names real or fictional are familiar to all by now: Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Baba Vanga, Larry Silverstein, Alex Jones, Bill Gates, Larry Fink, Biff Tanen.

Larry Silverstein bought a mega insurance policy on the World Trade Center towers just a few months before their controlled demolition. As the new owner of the trade center complex, he spent every morning eating breakfast atop the North Tower at Windows on The World, but on that morning he had a “medical appointment”.

Roll Safe Think About It Meme | WHEN NORAD BE TRAININ'; DOC BE CALLIN' ME | image tagged in memes, roll safe think about it | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

His insurance policy paid off $4.7 Billion six years later.

Three months before Silverstein’s “medical appointment” Alex Jones said those towers would be attacked, and the government would be involved and immediately blame Osama Bin Laden. Establishment mid-wits who thought it was a brilliant idea to scorch and raze half of the middle east in the aftermath of those events, and who are presently pushing for nuclear armageddon through their puppet Nazi-loving cocaine comic in Ukraine spent the next two decades calling Alex Jones a crazed conspiracy theorist.
