Dangerously Stupid Science: Solar Geoengineering, by Jim Steele

Making the world cooler is not a good idea. From Jim Steele at wattsupwiththat.com:

new report from the National Academies of Sciences recommended the United States pursue a robust research program into solar geoengineering, to reflect sunlight and forestall some of the worst effects of global warming.  Seeking $200 million over 5 years for research from the Biden administration, those scientists push a climate crisis narrative, arguing greenhouse gas emissions are not falling quickly enough and, “Without decisive action and rapid stabilization of global temperature, risks from a changing climate will increase in the future, with potentially catastrophic consequences” This should alarm everyone. Not because a climate crisis is real, but because solar geoengineering is the height of stupidity and truly endangers humanity. Still solar blocking experiments were planned for June 2021 in Sweden. Fortunately objections from other scientists, environmentalists, and Indigenous groups just cancelled those plans … for now.

In contrast to many failed “climate crisis” predictions, there’s an abundance of research detailing the truly detrimental effects of decreased solar heating. Human suffering during the cooler Little Ice Age (LIA), spanning 1300 to 1850 AD, has been well documented. Scientists agree LIA cooling is linked to volcanic activity and several periods of reduced solar output associated with low sunspots, such as the Maunder Minimum that lasted from 1645 to 1715 AD. Satellites have verified that less solar energy is emitted when sunspots decline. During increased volcanic activity, volcanic aerosols are spewed into the atmosphere reflecting sunlight away from the earth. Likewise climate scientists seek to inject aerosols into the atmosphere to cool the earth. It’s mind-boggling that fear‑ridden scientists would want to return our climate to the cooler temperatures like Little Ice Age. So please examine what a similar LIA cooling of 1°C (1.8°F) could do.

People Have No Idea What Is Coming, by Dr. Mark Sircus

Climate change is real; the world is about to get substantially cooler. From Dr. Mark Sircus at lewrockwell.com:

People like the United States president, Bill Gates, and thousands of other politicians and people who believe in man-made global warming are seriously out of their minds. They are people who think they can defy the laws of gravity or believe the world is flat even though the world looks round from the moon or even from space stations in near orbit.

In terms of climate change, we have a reality crisis, or what is being called an “information disorder.” Joe Biden has called upon us as a nation to “defend the truth and defeat the lies,” but he is all for the lies of man-made global warming, which is ridiculous in a rapidly cooling world. I do not think there has ever been such a big lie in human history, yet the lie only gets bigger and harder to tell as temperatures decline and as growing seasons shorten.

Journalists are completely behind Biden because their livelihoods depend on playing along with the carbon scam. We all know they are lying about just about everything. They know we know they are lying when they tell us the poles are melting and that if we do not do something right now, it’s the end of the world. Or at least it will be in 12 years.

Bill Holter explains, “If you look at everything, nothing is natural. Everything is contrived. We are lied to about pretty much everything 24/7. They lied about everything regarding Covid. They have lied about the election. They are lying about the unemployment rate. They are lying about inflation. They are lying about the true amount of total debt outstanding. They are lying about everything.” And they are certainly lying about man-made global warming.

What Lies Ahead? The Grand Solar Minimum, by Luke Eastwood

Contrary to the ubiquitous propaganda, it’s going to be very cold for the next few decades. From Luke Eastwood at zerohedge.com:

We are all aware of the environnmental crisis that humanity (and all life on Earth) faces, characterised by the term ‘climate change’. Much of the current thinking in the scientific community is promoting the idea that our planet is rapidly warming due to excess CO2 (carbon dioxide) gas produced by humans in the last few centuries, and the last 70 years in particular.

While there is a very strong and hard to deny case to suggest that human activity is the main cause of environmental destruction, the premise that it is due primarily to CO2 emissions is beginning to look somewhat flawed. I am well aware that the previous sentence is likely to draw a lot of negative attention and criticism, with accusations of ‘climate denier’ being thrown at me. However, the situation is not that simple as to be a case of ‘global warming’ being the main influence or no influence at all.

The reality of the situation is complex. In my opinion the main drivers of the environmental crisis are many, but put in simple terms – destruction of wild habitats, pollution due to industrialisation, over-use of soils, over-population, erosion of soils leading to desertification or barren, infertile landscapes, monoculture agriculture and climate fluctuations. Notice that I did not use the term ‘climate change’ which in the current scientific norm implies warming.

While the planet has undoubtedly warmed up, in part due to human activity and CO2 production, the current popular thinking completely ignores historical CO2 levels beyond the last millennium and also the primary input on temperatures on this planet and all eight of the planets in this solar system. That input, although largely ignored at the moment, is of course our sun, which on average generates 3.8 x 1026 Joules (energy) per second. Human energy usage per year is around 5 x 1020 Joules, which is about 1 million times less than the Sun produces during 1 second! In fact, in the whole of human history we have used less energy that the Sun produces in that 1 second.

Global Warming? Maybe You Should Pack a Sweater, by L. Reichard White

Imagine if it is global cooling that we should be worrying about. Can’t happen, trust governments and their science. From L. Reichard White at lewrockwell.com:

So we now have the two major population manipulation scare-narratives beginning to unravel. The most obviously fraying story is the computer-generated hypothesis called “Global Warming.” That’s one of the two possibilities for undeniable Climate Change. The other possibility is, of course, global cooling.

And then there’s the concocted and long-in-the-tooth COVID-19 Narrative Pandemic, causing uprisings — sometimes on the verge of real insurrections — all over Europe and South America.

So, predictably, the establishment is attempting to buttress its failing fictions. They trot out Biden to disingenuously echo the official 500,000 “COVID-19 RELATED deaths” propaganda when the number actually CAUSED by COVID-19 is only about one-tenth that number.

The establishment is also trying it’s damndest to counter the Texas — in fact, world-wide — record-breaking deep-freeze. The spokes-liars are out in force, distracting us by blaming Texas utilities for not prepping for record cold. Maybe they believed the Global Warming narrative?

And then, when driven to the wall, they go on by explaining why the deep-freeze doesn’t threaten the computer-generated warming hypothesis, even asserting that the deep-freeze is being caused by Global Warming.

Before you break out your Bermuda shorts and sandals though, you might find the following helpful. And you might want to pack a sweater – – –

Earth Cooling Dramatically, by Dr. Mark Sircus

You’re not going to find too many people in the 73 percent blanketed-with-snow US who think the planet is warming. From Dr. Mark Sircus at drsircus.com:

Winter storms are wreaking havoc in central and southern States. The climate news has turned catastrophic. People are angry; however, the federal government is too busy with its delusional psychosis over global warming and the COVID pandemic.

People don’t realize how bad and multifaceted the situation is. We have full-scale blackouts in Mexico, millions of Americans still in the dark with no power and heat, and the biggest outage in American oil and gas history. A loss on this scale is already generating an energy crisis, meaning each and everyone one of us will be paying more for energy.

The death count is climbing, with 20 deaths now reported, and the count is not over yet, and all scientists can say is that global warming caused by humans is partly responsible for making the cold longer and more frequent; that is what the press says, and we are supposed to believe every word of it.

Obviously, global warming cannot be responsible for so much cold, but for the brain compromised, anything is possible. Of course, climate change is real; it is only man-made global warming, which is the world’s biggest scam in man’s history is not. The real story of climate change has to do with the sun and its fluctuations and the reality that we are in for a few decades of cooling temperatures on Earth.

A Story of Extreme Cold and Snow, by Cold Climate

How cold is it? Colder than a politician’s heart, and you know how cold that is. From coldclimatechange.com:

It is cold out there. Wind chill values well below zero and as low as -50 degrees could be experienced at times across the central northern regions of the U.S.A. Hundreds of COLD RECORDS have fallen across North America over the past few days, and hundreds –potentially thousands– more are expected to tumble over the coming 10-or-so days as the Arctic air descends south.

Extreme cold has been gripping our planet for the past few months, driving its average temperature down (UAH) and the Northern Hemisphere snow-mass up (FMI). Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says 15 new record lows were set in Alberta this past Monday alone due to an “unseasonably cold” arctic ridge of high pressure. These are in addition to the 26 new lows set over the weekend.

Without coal, millions in Germany would now be freezing to death. Germany now finds itself in the dead of winter. Much of the country has seen considerable snowfall, meaning solar panels are often covered by snow and thus rendered useless. Even without snow cover, the weeks-long overcast sky prevents any noteworthy solar power generation.

Moreover, this winter there have been many long windless periods, and so Germany’s approx. 30,000 wind turbines have been largely out of operation. In a world 100% reliant on green energies, this would mean near 100% darkness at home. Is this what the Green New Deal envisions. Spend and borrow incredible trillions just so Americans will freeze? Climate change is getting serious as the lies about warming turn deadly cold.

Coal can be made safer if the mercury is scrubbed out,
and even if CO2 was a problem, which it is not,
it could be turned into bicarbonate with relative ease.

As reported by themoscowtimes.com, western Russia has been hit by bitter cold this week and has joined central and eastern regions that have been battered by brutal Arctic lows of -58.3C (-73F) and beyond for months now.

In a world that is supposed to be experiencing record warmth and in an age where snow is supposed to be a thing of the past, according to man-made global warming experts, Americans must be truly surprised by the smashing amount of snow hitting the nation. Yet Americans are not alone in this. The Arctic has also descended in Northern Asia and much of Europe, suffering unprecedented cold and massive snow amounts.

Just look at Japan, where an incredible amount of snow has fallen this winter. Following the historic snowstorms of the past few weeks, Japan has been hit again: at least 13 people died, and more than 250 were injured, but as snow continued to blanketed regions along the Sea of Japan coast, data now shows that nearly 100 people have died in Japan while clearing this season’s record-breaking snowfall. “Older people had no choice but to clear snow by themselves as they had to wait for one month to receive support from a snow removal company,” the official said.

Global warming: Facts vs. media misrepresentation, by Jack Hellner

The powers that be have worried about the globe’s temperature for a long time now, usually to press their agenda, but all the worries have come to naught. From Jack Hellner at americanthinker.com:

With Joe Biden ramping up the greenie ideology, the history of global warming is worth another look.

All you need to know to understand that the conspiracy is false is to see that the Earth had a substantial, lengthy cooling period from 1945 to 1975.

On the first Earth Day in 1970, after 25 years of cooling, people were scared to death about dire forecasts by “experts,” without any scientific data supporting their predictions, that billions would soon freeze and die of starvation because of a new ice age.  The media participated in scaring the public.  The predictions were 100% wrong because a little warming resumed as it always does.

By 1970, there had been around 100 years of exponential growth in oil and coal consumption, the population had risen by several hundred percent, and CO2 content had increased substantially.  Cars, trucks, planes, combines, tractors, TVs, air-conditioners, furnaces, and computers had been invented.  Most houses now had electricity.

Yet the Earth was cooling so much that billions would die because of cooling despite all these inventions that supposedly cause warming.  A child could understand that if a significant period of cooling occurred, oil and humans did not cause warming.  But the cultists don’t care about facts or science when they are pushing their radical leftist agenda to destroy jobs and America.

Hello Winter My Cold Friend, by Cold Climate Change

For a world that’s supposedly warming up, it sure is cold out there. From Cold Climate Change at coldclimatechange.com:

The unsustainable, corrupt, and brittle man-made global warming story is unraveling. Climate maniacs predicted a snowless world years ago. However, we have reports this week that the Northern Hemisphere snow mass is already 300 gigatons above the 1982-2012 average.

This week hundreds of all-time cold records fell across North America. No heat, only frigid, deepening, and dangerous cold. The United States (Lower-48) just set its coldest temperature ever recorded this early in the season. Denver obliterated its all-time low-temperature record in weather books dating back 148 years. It is snowing in Hawaii! Winter is coming in hard and strong, with the cold reaching all the way to Mexico. For the city of Chihuahua the thermometer dropped to -1C.

“The ongoing cold is off the charts, with an air mass more typical of December or January than late October,” The Washington Post admits. Arctic blast brings minus -29 degree (-33.9) cold to Montana as snow and ice plastered the central U.S., toppling records far and wide. Readings plummeted to some 40 degrees F below average for this time of year.

On September 3, I published ‘What Happened to Summer.’ Last year in October, I published Winter at the End of Summer and Winter Has Arrived Months Early. This year we had historic cold in Sweden in July and an abrupt end of summer in the mountains of northern Spain in August when a sudden cold snap left the Picos de Europa range buried under a blanket of white. The Alps and Pyrenees also received heavy summer snow, and the French as well were reporting all-time record August low temperatures.

The arctic is ‘finally’ melting due to warm water that is perhaps sourced with many of the millions of underwater volcanoes. The Gakkel ridge is a gigantic chain of underwater volcanoes snaking 1,800 kilometers (1,100 miles) beneath the Arctic Ocean from Greenland’s northern tip to Siberia. The Gakkel Ridge has in the recent past pulsed massive amounts of heat into the overlying ocean and thereby melted large portions of the ice that floats above the heated ocean column. Increased cosmic rays during grand solar minimums increase volcanic activity because these high energy particles penetrate deep into the Earth.

But to compensate, Antarctic Sea Ice has expanded to record levels, and even Greenland sees reversals in ice coverage with its biggest glacier growing.

Jumping the Global Warming Shark, by Tom Luongo

If you consistently bet against whatever a government asserts, you’ll never go broke. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.com:

There’s a moment near the end of Ayn Rand’s mostly brilliant Atlas Shrugged where she details the unveiling of various government-funded boondoggles whose development we track as the story unfolds.

All of them end in tragedy and mass death.  From trains asphyxiating their passengers to sonic weapons killing spectators, the hubris and ineptitude of the rentier class which took over the U.S. government was on display in all its glory.

So, every time I see some hare-brained idea in service of a politically-motivated lie I just look at my wife, shake my head and say, “Act III, Atlas Shrugged, hon.”

The latest is the patently insane idea of dimming the sun by dispersing sulfate particles into the atmosphere to reflect and absorb some of the energy coming from it to slow the rate of global warming.

I would hope, at the very least, they are thinking of something thoroughly inert like barium sulfate, but they aren’t.  They are talking about injecting SO2 into the atmosphere.  Another word for SO2 is SMOG.  This is the very compound we have been regulating power plants to not emit.

So, that’s it folks.  That’s our choice now.  Smog or a nice cozy, warm home with abundant food and mild weather for most of the planet.

Don’t Tell Anyone, But We Just Had Two Years Of Record-Breaking Global Cooling, Invetor’s Business Daily Editorial

It’s been getting colder, not warmer. From an Investor’s Business Daily editorial at investors.com:

Inconvenient Science: NASA data show that global temperatures dropped sharply over the past two years. Not that you’d know it, since that wasn’t deemed news. Does that make NASA a global warming denier?

Writing in Real Clear Markets, Aaron Brown looked at the official NASA global temperature data and noticed something surprising. From February 2016 to February 2018, “global average temperatures dropped by 0.56 degrees Celsius.” That, he notes, is the biggest two-year drop in the past century.

“The 2016-2018 Big Chill,” he writes, “was composed of two Little Chills, the biggest five month drop ever (February to June 2016) and the fourth biggest (February to June 2017). A similar event from February to June 2018 would bring global average temperatures below the 1980s average.

Isn’t this just the sort of man-bites-dog story that the mainstream media always says is newsworthy?

In this case, it didn’t warrant any news coverage.
