NO ONE IS SAFE: Bombshell findings of the Horowitz report prove the FBI is run by treasonous crooks who answer to no one, by Mike Adams

The hierarchy of the FBI was composed of men and women who knowingly and willingly broke the law in an attempt to depose a duly elected president. From Mike Adams at naturalnews.com:

Despite its attempts to whitewash the crimes of the deep state, the damning Horowitz report has awakening us all to the realization that the FBI is a criminal organization run by lawless, seditious tyrants who answer to no one.

For the past three years, we’ve been reporting the undeniable truth of how the FBI is America’s No. 1 most prolific terrorist organization, planning and running terror plots against the American people as a way to justify its own existence in the so-called “war on terror.” Now it turns out the deep state is the origin of all that terrorism, and the FBI has been carrying out assassinations (JFK), cover-ups (Sen. RFK), death threats (Dr. MLK) and political coup attempts against America.

An Expulsion of Demons, by James Howard Kunstler

The Democratic party is corrupt to its core and the British just issued a strong rebuke by implication to the socialist wing of the party. Other than that, though, the Dems are in great shape. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

Is there any saving the Democratic Party? This wretched concatenation of ill-will, bad faith, false witness, and sore-loserdom lurches from one defeat to the next like some mindless monster from an ancient fable of ruin, seeking a final spectacular spasm of self-annihilation. Let’s face it: only an exorcism will do, some spiritual emetic to induce the projectile vomiting of all that borscht the monster has swallowed.

The “progressive” (not) Resistance took two body-blows last week, one foreign and one domestic. Its cousin in Britain, the Labor Party, led by the red-headed stepchild of a Marxist-Jihadi chimera, Jeremy Corbyn, got such an unexpected and mighty thrashing at the hands of BoJo that it virtually dissolved into a little puddle of bile on the floor of parliament. Corbyn was a piece of work, a cheerleader for Hezbollah and other enemies of western civ, with a zealous antipathy to economic reality, spreading the virus of identitarian Wokesterism that has infected Britain like a plague of yore. Surely the American Dems noticed how that went down.

The Inspector General’s Report on 2016 FBI Spying Reveals a Scandal of Historic Magnitude: Not Only for the FBI but Also the U.S. Media, by Glenn Greenwald

Inspector General Horowitz clearly reveals FBI malfeasance and criminality. What it doesn’t reveal is how supportive the mainstream media was of the FBI, acting as its virtual mouthpiece. It’s credibility has been shredded. How can anyone pay attention to these clowns anymore? From Glenn Greenwald at theintercept.com:

JUST AS WAS TRUE when the Mueller investigation closed without a single American being charged with criminally conspiring with Russia over the 2016 election, Wednesday’s issuance of the long-waited report from the Department of Justice’s Inspector General reveals that years of major claims and narratives from the U.S. media were utter frauds.

Before evaluating the media component of this scandal, the FBI’s gross abuse of its power – its serial deceit – is so grave and manifest that it requires little effort to demonstrate it. In sum, the IG Report documents multiple instances in which the FBI – in order to convince a FISA court to allow it spy on former Trump campaign operative Carter Page during the 2016 election – manipulated documents, concealed crucial exonerating evidence, and touted what it knew were unreliable if not outright false claims.

Two for One Holiday Special, by James Howard Kunstler

Articles of Impeachment and the Horowitz report all in one week. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

Hillary Clinton sure got her money’s worth with the Fusion GPS deal: it induced a three-year psychotic break in the body politic, destroyed the legitimacy of federal law enforcement, turned a once-proud, free, and rational press into an infernal engine of bad faith, and is finally leading her Democratic Party to an ignominious suicide. And the damage is far from complete. It’s even possible that Mrs. Clinton will return to personally escort the party over the cliff when, as is rumored lately, she jumps into the primary contest and snatches the gonfalon of leadership from the ailing old man of the sclerotic status quo, Uncle Joe Biden.

The citizens of this foundering polity have been subjected to a stunning doubleheader of political spectacle clear through the week. On Monday, the Horowitz Report was briefly celebrated by the Left for claiming “no bias” and a “reasonable predicate” for the RussiaGate mess — until auditors actually got to read the 400-plus-page document and discovered that it was absolutely stuffed with incriminating details that Mr. Horowitz was too polite, too coy, or too faint-hearted to identify as acts worthy of referral for prosecution.

Can We Impeach The FBI Now? by Peter Van Buren

In the title, Peter Van Buren is being too kind. Impeachment as he uses it is just removal from a position. There are numerous FBI officials who would, in a better world, be looking at jail sentences. From Peter Van Buren at theamericanconservative.com:

Read the Horowitz Report. It proves the bureau unleashed an abusive, full-spectrum spying campaign to destroy Trump before and after his election.

The release of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report, which shows that the Democrats, media, and FBI lied about not interfering in an election, will be a historian’s marker for how a decent nation fooled itself into self-harm. Forget about foreigners influencing our elections; it was us.

The Horowitz Report is being played by the media for its conclusion: that the FBI’s intel op run against the Trump campaign was not politically motivated and thus “legal.” That covers one page of the 476-page document, but because it fits with the Democratic/mainstream media narrative that Trump is a liar, the rest has been ignored. “The rest,” of course, is a detailed description of America’s domestic intelligence apparatus, aided by its overseas intelligence apparatus, and assisted by its Five Eyes allies’ intelligence apparatuses. And the conclusion is that they unleashed a full-spectrum spying campaign against a presidential candidate in order to influence an election, and when that failed, they tried to delegitimize a president.

The Revenge of the Illusionists at the Whim of the Deluded, by Doug “Uncola” Lynn

If you think you can pull one sentence out of a 434 page report (Horowitz report) and exonerate a clearly culpable FBI (as detailed in many other sentences in that report) you probably think you can do anything. From Doug “Uncola” Lynn at theburningplatform.com:

“Our impulses are being redirected. We are living in an artificially induced state of consciousness that resembles sleep… The poor and the underclass are growing. Racial justice and human rights are nonexistent. They have created a repressive society and we are their unwitting accomplices. Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness. We have been lulled into a trance. They have made us indifferent to ourselves…, to others…, we are focused only on our own gain. Please understand they are safe as long as they are not discovered. That is their primary method of survival: To keep us asleep, keep us selfish, keep us sedated.”

– “They Live” (1988), John Carpenter, Universal Pictures, Release date: November 4, 1988

John Carpenter’s cult classic film “They Live” foreshadowed our current time in so many ways. The story told of disguised freaks appearing human while consolidating control over the upper echelons of society. To do this, they lulled the masses to sleep via advertising and materialism. The electronic media acted as a hypnotist’s watch on lethargic plebeians as they were cajoled into a dreamlike state, treated like puppets, and surveilled – by flying drones no less.

‘Corroboration Zero’: An Inspector General’s Report Reveals the Steele Dossier Was Always a Joke, by Matt Taibbi

One of the few honest liberal journalists out there says the Horowitz report confirms that Russiagate was always a fraud. From Matt Taibbi at rollingstone.com:

The report throws water on one “deep state” conspiracy theory of the Russia investigation, but validates complaints about “fake news”

The Guardian headline reads: “DOJ Internal watchdog report clears FBI of illegal surveillance of Trump adviser.”

If the report released Monday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz constitutes a “clearing” of the FBI, never clear me of anything. Holy God, what a clown show the Trump-Russia investigation was.

Like the much-ballyhooed report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the Horowitz report is a Rorschach test, in which partisans will find what they want to find.

Much of the press is concentrating on Horowitz’s conclusion that there was no evidence of “political bias or improper motivation” in the FBI’s probe of Donald Trump’s Russia contacts, an investigation Horowitz says the bureau had “authorized purpose” to conduct.

Horowitz uses phrases like “serious performance failures,” describing his 416-page catalogue of errors and manipulations as incompetence rather than corruption. This throws water on the notion that the Trump investigation was a vast frame-up.

Barr Blasts Inspector General for Whitewashing FBI, by Ray McGovern

Inspector General Horowitz has admitted that the FBI should have stopped its investigation as new evidence came to light, but Attorney General Barr believes there was no grounds even to start the investigation. From Ray McGovern at antiwar.com:

Barr took unusually strong public issue with Horowitz’s conclusion that there was adequate reason to mount an FBI investigation of the Trump campaign and suspected ties to Russia

Attorney General William Barr on Monday disparaged the long-awaited findings of the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz into FBI conduct in the investigation of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign. Barr, in effect, accused Horowitz of whitewashing a litany of proven misfeasance and malfeasance that created the “predicate,” or legal justification, for investigating candidate-and-then-president Donald Trump on suspicion of being in cahoots with the Russians.

In grammatical terms, there can be no sentence, so to speak, without a predicate. Trump was clearly the object of the sentence, and the sleuths led by then-FBI Director James Comey were the subjects in desperate search of a predicate. Horowitz candidly depicted the predicate the FBI requires for a counterintelligence investigation as having to meet a very low bar. The public criticism from his boss was unusual. For the tenacious attorney general, doing a serious investigation of how the FBI handled the Trump-Russia inquiry has become a case of no-holds-Barr-ed, one might say.

Horowitz: FBI Should Have Pumped The Brakes On Surveillance Of Trump Campaign Aide, by Tyler Durden

SLL had expected a whitewash from Horowitz, but his report and Senate testimony were far less favorable to the FBI than we expected. Now let’s see if anyone is brought to account. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Update: IG Horowitz told Congressional investigators on Wednesday that FBI officials should have seriously reconsidered their surveillance efforts on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page in early 2017, when information they gathered cast significant doubt on their legal justification to surveil him, according to Bloomberg.

Horowitz also said that the FBI misled the FISA court in order to keep spying on Page.

“I don’t think the Department of Justice fairly treated these FISAs, and he was on the receiving end of them,” he said.

At one point Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) asks, “A lawyer at the FBI creates fraudulent evidence, alters an email that is in turn used as the basis for a sworn statement to the court that the court relies on. Am I stating that accurately?” to which Horowitz responds: “That’s correct. That’s what occurred.”

“This Was An Attempted Overthrow”: Trump Slams FBI After FISA Report Release, by Tyler Durden

Here’s a first take on Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report, released today. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

President Trump says Monday’s Inspector General report on FISA abuse proves that the FBI “fabricated evidence” and “lied to the courts.”

“It’s a disgrace what’s happened with the things that were done to our country,” Trump said in comments to Republican Senators and state officials who were meeting at the White House.

“It’s incredible, far worse than what I ever thought possible.”

Trump added that “It’s a very sad day that I see that,” while claiming the probe was “concocted” and that the intelligence abuses were “probably something that’s never happened in the history of our country.”

“They fabricated evidence and they lied to the courts,” Trump continued. “This was an attempted overthrow and a lot of people were in on it, and they got caught.”

Speaking at the behest of Trump, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said, citing her experience in law enforcement, that “the American people should be terrified that this could happen to you.”

Most of the FBI agents and officials who were part of the major errors have left the agency or been removed from their positions, FBI Director Christopher Wray told Horowitz in a letter also released on Monday. The same is true with the Department of Justice. –Epoch Times

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has released his reportinto the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 US election. The report concludes that despite nearly everybody investigating President Trump hating him – and that evidence was fabricated by at least one FBI attorney, and that they misrepresented Christopher Steele’s credentials, none of their bias ‘tainted’ the investigation, and the underlying process was sound.
