Biden’s Inner Pluskat: How the Loss of Control of Either House Could Impact the President, by Jonathan Turley

If Republicans control either house they will have the power to investigate. From Jonathan Turley at jonathanturley.com:

Below is my column in the New York Post on what a flipping of either (or both) houses might bring for President Joe Biden. While the President has cited his own impeachment as the danger of such a change, it may be the least of his worries. As we wait for the final tally on seats in both houses, here are three areas that represent a more serious threat to the President than removal from office.

Here is the column:

In the movie “The Longest Day,” Maj. Werner Pluskat tried to warn his superior about the approaching armada that he was seeing on the horizon. His superior asks where they are heading, and Pluskat responds, “Straight for me!”

In the days before the midterm “D-Day,” President Joe Biden increasingly sounded like Pluskat. Last Thursday, Biden warned supporters that the Republicans have made clear “they’re gonna impeach me.” When Biden warned that he might be impeached if voters do not stop a Republican wave, there was an audible laugh which prompted the President to added “No, I’m not joking.”

While Biden may or may not be the subject of an impeachment, a Republican-controlled House has plenty to investigate, and impeachment is unlikely his greatest fear.

Here are the top three concerns, and there is every indication that Biden is wise to be worried.

450GB Of ‘Deleted’ Hunter Biden Laptop Material To Be Released Within Weeks, by Tyler Durden

This should land Hunter in the slammer and be the beginning of the end of Biden’s presidency. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

A whistleblower who’s fled the United States for Switzerland has vowed to drop ‘450 gigabytes of deleted materialfrom Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, which he says he also gave the the Washington Post, New York Times, and Sen. Chuck Grassley – all of whom he says sat on it for months.

For the past two weeks, former Steve Bannon War Room co-host Jack Maxey has been hiding in Zurich, where he told the Daily Mail he’s been working with IT experts to dig more data from Hunter’s ‘laptop from hell,’ and that he’ll post it all online in a searchable database in the coming weeks.

Maxey says the data includes 80,000 images and videos, and more than 120,000 archived emails.

“I came here so that we could do a forensic examination of Hunter’s laptop safely in a country that still respects human liberty and the ideals of liberal democratic principles,” he told the Mail. “I do not believe this would have been possible inside the United States. We had numerous attempts on us from trying to do things like this there.”

Hunter Biden Subpoenaed Over Burisma, Two Dozen Other Entities As Part Of Four Investigations, by Tyler Durden

This confirms the New York Post’s explosive stories before the elections that the legacy media ignored. It might have changed a lot of votes and required even more Democrat cheating. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Hunter Biden has been subpoenaed by federal investigators over his involvement with at least two dozen entities – including Ukrainian gas company Burisma, according to the Associated Press, citing a ‘person familiar with a Justice Department tax investigation.”

News of the subpoena follows a joint announcement from Hunter and his father Joe Biden’s campaign last week which acknowledged that he was under investigation for tax fraud, with the Washington Post noting that Hunter had yet to be interviewed by the FBI or served with subpoenas.

The subpoena, issued Tuesday, covers a wide swath of Hunter’s taxes and international business dealings – in what could be a serious case against the Biden family (or a serious attempt to put a DOJ ‘bow’ on the ‘matter’). AP notes that it’s unclear if Burisma is a central part of the investigation – despite Joe Biden admitting on tape that he had Ukraine’s chief prosecutor fired during the same period as said investigator, Viktor Shokin, was investigating Burisma’s founder for corruption.

The subpoena also covers Hunter’s Chinese business dealings and other financial transactions. AP also notes that Hunter fell under investigation in 2018 – knowledge which somehow didn’t leak from the DOJ until after the 2020 election. During the election, of course, Hunter was completely off limits – with a virtual press blackout on the subject, and President Trump receiving a sharp rebuke from debate moderator Chris Wallace for bringing it up.

Impeach Joe Biden, by Issues and Insights

Joe Biden already has quite a rap sheet. From Issues and Insights at issuesinsights.com:

ven before Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, the left was calling for his impeachment. Then they spent four years looking for excuses to drive him out of office. So, in the turnabout-is-fair-play department, perhaps it’s time to start making the case for impeaching Joe Biden.

Let’s first review how the left treated Trump’s win four years ago. Immediately, #resistance started trending on social media, as though somehow Trump had invaded the country. Protesters shouted “not my president.” Pundits speculated that he’d rigged elections in the battleground states he won. The entire country was then treated to years of fake news about how Trump supposedly colluded with Russia to steal the election.

Throughout it all, there was the constant buzz about Trump’s impeachment and a steady stream of stories such as:

“Could Trump be impeached shortly after he takes office?”

“People Are Searching Google for Ways to Impeach Donald Trump”

“Democrats Are Paving the Way to Impeach Donald Trump”

“Talk of Impeaching Trump May Be Premature, But Its Time Will Come “

These and countless other headlines ran before Trump’s inauguration.

Heck, the New York Daily News penned an editorial titled “Impeach Trump” that ran on March 2, 2016 – two months before he was the GOP nominee. The entire editorial consisted of one sentence: “It’s not too early to start.”

None of these calls was based on anything credible or actually impeachable. How could they be, since Trump presumably would have to actually be in office to commit any “high crimes and misdemeanors”?

All of it was designed to serve one purpose: To cast his presidency as illegitimate, undermine his ability to get anything done, and lay the groundwork for his defeat in 2020. When Democrats did finally find an excuse to impeach Trump, it was a farce that even they completely ignored after it was over.

Now, these same miscreants are acting as though Trump is threatening to destroy the country by insisting that multiple accusations of election fraud be investigated before states certify the results. Suddenly, doing anything to undermine the credibility of a Joe Biden presidency is dangerously un-American.

Nevertheless, Democrats have lowered the bar for impeachment so low that, by any fair reading, calls for Biden’s impeachment can’t be dismissed. After all, they involve corruption, abuse of power, spying on a political opponent, and covering up sexual assault.
