Media Converges On The Narrative That UFOs May Be Russian/Chinese Threat, by Caitlin Johnstone

Never let a good excuse to increase the military’s budget go to waste. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

So in case you haven’t been keeping up it’s been pretty thoroughly confirmed that the US government’s highly anticipated UFO report due this month won’t contain any significant revelations and certainly won’t verify anyone’s ideas about these phenomena being extraterrestrial in origin, but it absolutely will contain fearmongering that UFOs could be evidence that the US has fallen dangerously behind Russian and Chinese technological development in the cold war arms race.

Unknown US officials have done a print media tour speaking to the press on condition of anonymity (of course), with first The New York Times reporting their statements about the contents of the UFO report and then CNN and The Washington Post. Each of these outlets reported the same thing: the US government doesn’t know what these things are but is very concerned they constitute evidence that Russia and/or China have somehow managed to technologically leapfrog US military development by light years. All three mention these two nations explicitly.

This narrative was then picked up by cable news, with MSNBC inviting former CIA director and defense secretary Leon Panetta on to explain to their audience that the US government should assume UFOs are Russian or Chinese in origin until that possibility has been exhausted.

MSM Wastes No Time Using Senate UFO Report To Promote Arms Race, by Caitlin Johnstone

If they substitute the term “potential Chinese and Russian flying things we can’t match” for the term UFO, you might be able to scare a lot of people into clamoring for even bigger defense budgets. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

The New York Times has published an article on the contents of the hotly anticipated US government report on UFOs, as per usual based on statements of anonymous officials, and as per usual promoting narratives that are convenient for imperialists and war profiteers.

Together with one voice, the anonymous US officials and the “paper of record” which is supposed to scrutinize US officials assure us definitively that the mysterious aerial phenomena that have reportedly been witnessed by military personnel are certainly not any kind of secret US technology, but could totally be aliens and could definitely be a sign that the Russians or Chinese have severely lapped America’s lagging military development.

“The report determines that a vast majority of more than 120 incidents over the past two decades did not originate from any American military or other advanced U.S. government technology,” NYT was reportedly told by the officials. “That determination would appear to eliminate the possibility that Navy pilots who reported seeing unexplained aircraft might have encountered programs the government meant to keep secret.”

Oh well if the US government has ruled out secret US government weaponry programs, hot damn that’s good enough for me. Great journalism you guys.

Alien Reboot, by The Zman

The UFO stories making the rounds look like a government psy-op. The evidence is not particularly convincing and most of it seems to come from the government itself. From The Zman at theburningplatform.com:

For reasons no one has bothered to explain, the government went on a strange public relations tour, informing us that it has for years been documenting unidentified objects in the air and sea. These events have been captured by cameras mounted on military ships and aircraft. They released a bunch of these videos, some of which had audio of the people recording them. Those voices in the videos tell the viewer that the cameramen are baffled by the blurry images they are seeing.

Along with the videos, the Pentagon provided some background. They claim they have data going back a long time suggesting these events are not illusions. For example, they claim the appearance of unidentified flying objects near a nuclear weapons battery caused the facility to shut down. They did not state it directly, but the implication is the entity behind the unexplained objects was also able to turn off the nuclear weapons facility or at least disable it while they were flying around it.

Despite the comically bad video that was released, the claim is that these objects, in the air and the sea, operate in ways thought impossible. They move faster than any human built craft and they maneuver well beyond our capability. In one case, an object was claimed to have been in the air then it went into the sea, moving at speeds well beyond any known seagoing vessel. The video for that one shows what looks like a piece of fuzz moving around on a grainy black and white video.

Pentagon’s UFO PsyOps Fuel Russia, China War Risk, by Finian Cunningham,

What if someone in the military who’s not clued in that UFO stories are Pentagon psyops shoots on what he believes is an aircraft from Mars and it’s actually a Russian or Chinese jet? From Finian Cunningham at strategic-culture.org:

The stoking of UFO controversy appears to be a classic psyops perpetrated by U.S. military intelligence for the objective of population control, Finian Cunningham writes.

There are reasons to be skeptical. After decades of stonewalling on the issue, suddenly American military chiefs appear to be giving credence to claims of UFOs invading Earth. Several viral video clips purporting to show extraordinary flying technology have been “confirmed” by the Pentagon as authentic. The Pentagon move is unprecedented.

The videos of the Unidentified Flying Objects were taken by U.S. air force flight crews or by naval surveillance and subsequently “leaked” to the public. The question is: were the “leaks” authorized by Pentagon spooks to stoke the public imagination of visitors from space? The Pentagon doesn’t actually say what it believes the UFOs are, only that the videos are “authentic”.

A Senate intelligence committee is to receive a report from the Department of Defense’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force next month. That has also raised public interest in the possibility of alien life breaching our skies equipped with physics-defying technology far superior to existing supersonic jets and surveillance systems.

Several other questions come to mind that beg skepticism. Why does the phenomenon of UFOs or UAP only seem to be associated with the American military? This goes back decades to the speculation during the 1950s about aliens crashing at Roswell in New Mexico. Why is it that only the American military seems privy to such strange encounters? Why not the Russian or Chinese military which would have comparable detection technology to the Americans but they don’t seem to have made any public disclosures on alien encounters? Such a discrepancy is implausible unless we believe that life-forms from lightyears away have a fixation solely on the United States. That’s intergalactic American “exceptionalism” for you!

Everything Keeps Getting Weirder And Weirder, by Caitlin Johnstone

Are we being set up for a UFO psy-op? From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

Back in 2019 I wrote an article titled “Things Are Only Going To Get Weirder“, and from Covid to the 2020 election to the steadily increasing regularity with which UFOs are now mentioned in the mainstream media, that has indeed proved to be the case.

Our ongoing slide into the abyss of infinite weirdness may have eclipsed this from your memory by now, but there was once a time not too long ago when frequent mainstream news stories about the possibility of extraterrestrial aircraft in our skies would not have sounded like something from real life. Lately it’s been a daily occurrence, and the president of the United States is now being asked about it at news conferences.

“President Obama says there is footage and records of objects in the skies — these unidentified aerial phenomena — and he says we don’t know exactly what they are. What do you think that it is?” a reporter asked Biden near the end of a joint press conference with South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday. Biden brushed off the question in his trademark almost-but-not-quite-lucid way with the comment “I would ask him again,” and hustled off the stage.

The Aliens Are Not Coming, by Caitlin Johnstone

Any aliens smart enough to figure out interstellar travel probably won’t want anything to do with our backward planet. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

UFOs have been in the news again. Routinely seeing headlines about this phenomenon in mainstream news outlets would have been unthinkable a few short years ago, but now it just shows up as one more feature on our continually expanding haunted hayride into infinite weirdness.

So what’s the deal here? Are they military aircraft? Are they a cold war psyop? Are they natural phenomena?

Or are they extraterrestrials?

The preceding questions are intriguing, but we all know that last one is what’s generating the most thought and discussion.

For me, though, it’s actually kind of the least interesting possibility, and I’ll tell you why.

If there are indeed extraterrestrials, and if they have indeed solved the puzzle of interstellar space travel and noticed us and decided to pay us regular visits for their own secret alien reasons, I don’t think it would have any actual effect on life on this planet. We’re simply not mature enough as a species to ever interact with them.

I mean, look at us. We’re gazing up at the stars, wondering if there’s intelligent life up there, while rapidly killing off mysterious giant-brained leviathans who live in our own oceans, whose experience of consciousness we know essentially nothing about.

This UFO Hype Is Probably Just The US Military Lying Again, by Caitlin Johnstone

In search of bigger budgets, the US military will peddle any story it can. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

“No Longer in Shadows, Pentagon’s U.F.O. Unit Will Make Some Findings Public” reads a New York Times headline that is understandably attracting a great deal of attention today.

True to form, the Times had to hastily issue an embarrassing correction to the article after initially reporting that former Senate majority leader Harry Reid “believed that crashes of vehicles from other worlds had occurred and that retrieved materials had been studied secretly for decades”, when in fact Reid merely believes “crashes of objects of unknown origin may have occurred”.

ALIEN 1: We’re from Outer Space. We’re here to help. by Doug “Uncola” Lynn

And now for something completely different. From Doug “Uncola” Lynn at theburningplatform.com:

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

If I were to provide you with a factual summary involving outer space aliens, WikiLeaks, an Apollo 14 astronaut who was the sixth man to walk on the Moon, a guitarist from a Grammy-nominated rock group, a former Democratic campaign chief and presidential chief of staff, several U.S. Presidents, Area 51, the Vatican, and Jimmy Kimmel, would I have your attention? Good.  Now, sit back and fasten your seat belts. This will be quite the ride.

What has become known as the Podesta Files were revealed on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 when Wikileaks released 7,000 e-mails sent and received by John Podesta, then the Campaign Chairman for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.  Within the information dump, correspondence was discovered from former Apollo astronaut, Edgar Mitchell, who cited an “impending space war and the Vatican’s knowledge of alien life”.

Also referred to in the e-mails as Mitchell’s “Catholic colleague”, was a lady by the name of Terri Mansfield, a self-proclaimed Director of the ETI (Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Peace Task Force who, according to her website, considers the “contiguous universe ETI” to be “nonviolent, obedient to God, and superior to all celestials in our universe” .  Evidently, the ETI Peace Task Force believes extraterrestrial intelligence has evolved to the point of being one-hundred percent obedient to God, with a desire for justice and a steadfast commitment to non-violence:

AS WE ENTER 2017, YEAR OF JUSTICE, EXCLUDED FROM OUR MISSION AND ENVIRONS ARE EVERYONE AND ANYONE WHO ARE NOT NOW IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD. ONLY THOSE ARE INCLUDED AND INVITED TO PARTICIPATE WITH US WHO ARE IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD, FACILITATED BY 100% OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S 100%, THEREFORE, NONVIOLENT, ETI, EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE. AS A PROCESS OF SELF-ELIMINATION, WE WORK ONLY WITH THOSE ETI IN THE CONTIGUOUS UNIVERSE. OVER MILLIONS OF YEARS, OUR ETI HAVE EVOLVED TO NONVIOLENCE, AND OVERSEE ALL CELESTIALS IN OUR UNIVERSE WHO ARE NOT YET 100% OBEDIENT TO GOD. IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE GOD WHILE ASSISTING OUR ETI TO BRING ZERO POINT ENERGY TO OUR PLANET.

Did you catch that? About extraterrestrial intelligence and God? More on that later.
