For The Children, by Charlie Kirk

Did you know:

There are 2.7 million children with a parent in prison

400,000 kids in foster care

But somehow all our focus is on 2,000 illegal immigrants who broke our laws and who got separated from their kids temporarily?

🤔

Fact Check: Did Obama Detain 90,000 Children At The Border? by Tyler Durden

Nothing that has gone on with migrant kids at the border since Trump became president didn’t also go on when Obama was president. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

President Trump’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale recently tweeted that “Over 90,000 kids were detained under Obama. And no one cared.”

What followed was a barrage of angry tweets and an attempt by AP prove the claim false by conflating two narratives; the first being that Trump is putting separated migrant children in prison-like conditions – which the left quickly abandoned after it was revealed that viral photographs depicting the caged migrant children actually happened under Obama.

That claim then morphed into outrage over the Trump administration separating 20% of minors who enter the country from their parents – around 2,000 kids, while ignoring the fact that the Obama administration was also separating children from their parents, while widespread abuse of detained migrants under previous administrations was reported by the ACLU and the University of Arizona.

One woman interviewed was detained for nearly a month in CADC while she was six months pregnant. She was shackled during transport to and from the facility. At the facility, she was denied monitoring or treatment for an ovarian cyst that posed a risk to herself and the fetus, and received no response to her requests for prenatal vitamins or extra padding for her bed.68 (Her case is described more fully in the box below.) Another woman interviewed was separated from her breastfeeding baby daughter, who was less than two months old, while she was detained in Eloy for two weeks. –University of Arizona

Among those findings are that women did not receive adequate medical or mental health care, were often mixed together with women serving criminal sentences, and were often transferred from faraway states. In most cases, researchers found that women were separated from at least one child.ACLUAZ.org

Also overlooked is the fact that 80% of children entering the United States are separated from their parents when they’re shoved across the border with a human trafficker, and that migrants can seek asylum in the United States through one of the several U.S. consulates in Mexico.

Atrocity Porn and Hitler Memes Target Trump for Regime Change, by George James Jatras

Trump’s enemies grasp at another straw: treatment of children at the southern border. From George James Jatras at strategic-culture.org:

Atrocity Porn and Hitler Memes Target Trump for Regime Change

American and global audiences have been bombarded with media images of wailing children in holding facilities, having been separated from adults (maybe their parents, maybe not) detained for illegal entry into the United States. The images have been accompanied by “gut-wrenching” audio of distraught toddlers screaming the Spanish equivalents of “Mommy!” and “Daddy!” – since, as any parent knows, small children never cry or call for their parents except in the most horrifying, life-threatening circumstances.

American and world media have provided helpful color commentary, condemning the caging of children as openly racist atrocities and state terrorism comparable to Nazi concentration camps and worse than FDR’s internment of Japanese and Japanese-Americans. Indeed, just having voted for Trump is now reason enough for Americans to be labeled as Nazis.

Finally, the presumptive Hitler himself, also known as President Donald Trump, citing the pleas of First Lady Melania and First Daughter Ivanka, signed an Executive Order to provide for adults and (their?) children to be detained together. However, the order is unlikely to hold up in court, with sanctuary-minded states aiming to obstruct border enforcement the way Trump’s earlier order on vetting arrivals from terrorism-prone countries has been crippled by the federal judiciary. His media and bipartisan political opposition will be happy only when all border violation detentions cease and America has gone full Merkel, starting with ending Trump’s declared zero tolerance for illegal crossings and restoration of Barack Obama’s catch-and-release policy.

Even then, Trump will be vilified for taking so long to do it. Whether or how Trump may yield further is not clear, but rather than slaking the hate campaign against him, his attempted effort at appeasement has put the smell of political blood in the water with the November 2018 Congressional midterm elections looming.

Some images of small children have become veritable icons of Trumpian brutality. One photo, reportedly of a two-year-old Honduran girl (who in fact had not been separated from her mother), graced the cover of Time magazine, confronting the black-hearted tyrant himself. Another, of a little boy in a cage, went viral before it was revealed that this kid had nothing to do with the border but rather was briefly inside a staged pen as part of a protest in Dallas.

Outrage, by Raúl Ilargi Meijer

It seems like everybody is outraged by something out there, but all the outrage is invariably selective. From Raúl Ilargi Meijer at theautomaticearth.com:

Yes, you have every right to be outraged at the disgraceful treatment of children on America’s borders. But that does not give you the right to NOT be outraged by what America has done and is today still doing to children in, just to name a few places, Syria, Libya and Yemen. Be outraged, but don’t make it an echo chamber issue. Because if you do, you, too, are in a cage.

So if you see the wives of former presidents speak out about the child separation policies, ask yourself where they get the moral authority to speak out on such issues, after their husbands have bombed the crap out of many countries, killing many many children in the process. And don’t let’s get started about Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.

Presently in Yemen, 20 million people depend on humanitarian aid, and the US are helping Saudi Arabia et al bomb the only port left through which that aid can reach them, to smithereens. 8.5 million Yemenis are already starving, and some 3 million of them are children. Where is your outrage over that?

Where is the outrage over the American and international treatment of Julian Assange, who has been in the Ecuador embassy in London for six years today? Where is it?

Don’t get coaxed into selective outrage by your news media, who like nothing better than to tell you what to be outraged by, and what not. If you allow that to happen, you have lost your freedom and your independence. Ask why they tell you a certain story at the moment they tell it. Ask why they tell it the way they do.

Yes, it has come to this. Every single story you read or hear needs to be scrutinized. Because there’s an agenda behind all of them, left, right or middle. And because the media have figured out that constantly driving you from one selective outrage to another is very profitable for them. Critical thought is not.

Yes, there are sociopaths in the Trump administration. But that’s nothing new. There have been sociopaths in every administration. It’s how our political systems work. Sh*t floats to the top.

Trump and the Invasion of the West, by Patrick Buchanan

How does the government stop illegal immigration into the US? Trump and the Republicans had better figure it out soon, or they will become a permanent minority party. From Patrick Buchanan at buchanan.org:

“It is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart,” says former first lady Laura Bush of the Trump administration policy of “zero tolerance,” under which the children of illegal migrants are being detained apart from their parents.

“Disgraceful,” adds Dr. Franklin Graham.

“We need to be … a country that governs with a heart,” says first lady Melania Trump. “No one likes this policy,” says White House aide Kellyanne Conway, even “the president wants this to end.”

And so it shall — given the universal denunciations and photos of sobbing children being pulled from parents. Yet striking down the policy will leave America’s immigration crisis still unresolved.

Consider. Since 2016, some 110,000 children have entered the U.S. illegally and been released, along with 200,000 Central American families caught sneaking across the border.

Reflecting its frustration, the White House press office declared:

“We can’t deport them, we can’t separate them, we can’t detain them, we can’t prosecute them. What (the Democrats) want is a radical open-border policy that lets everyone out into the interior of this country with virtually no documentation whatsoever.”

Where many Americans see illegal intruders, Democrats see future voters.

And with 11,000 kids of illegal immigrants in custody and 250 more arriving every day, we could have 30,000 in custody by summer’s end.

The existential question, however, thus remains: How does the West, America included, stop the flood tide of migrants before it alters forever the political and demographic character of our nations and our civilization?

The U.S. Hispanic population, already estimated at nearly 60 million, is predicted to exceed 100 million by 2050, just 32 years away.

And Europe’s southern border is more imperiled than ours.

A week ago, the new populist regime in Rome refused to allow a boat full of migrants from Libya to land in Sicily. Malta also turned them away. After a voyage of almost a week and 1,000 miles, 630 migrants were landed in Valencia, Spain.

Why did Italy reject them? Under EU law, migrants apply for asylum in the country where they first enter Europe. This burdens Italy and Greece where the asylum-seekers have been arriving for years.

Yet Another Case Of Fake News Spin – Obama Separated Immigrant Families At The Border, Too, by Duane Norman

As the above headline becomes public knowledge, the outrage machine seems to be powering down. From Jon Hall at fmshooter.com:

In May, an image of immigrant children placed in holding cells went viral and was shared heavily, not only by a former Obama administration official but also by leftist activists – who used it as an opportunity to blast Trump for the heartless nature of his immigration policies. The only problem, the infamous image was from 2014 – under Obama.

Once again, we find liberals criticizing policies supposedly enacted by Trump, all whilst ignoring that these practices have been ongoing for almost the entire duration of Obama administration.

The mainstream media and Democrats have denounced families being ripped apart at the border under the Trump administration, with the children of illegals being placed in detention centers and their parents put in jail for trying to enter the country illegally. Former CIA Director Michael Hayden even went so far as to compare this practice to concentration camps in Nazi Germany.  Somehow, we doubt that his illegal spying has uncovered millions of illegal immigrants being murdered in their detention centers by ICE officials.

However, even ignoring Hayden’s hyperbole, the outrage and furor concerning these families torn asunder is completely ignorant of any context. No one decided to care or go against this same practice when it was happening under the Obama administration – unlike Trump, the mainstream media all but ignored the story while Obama was president. Even Hillary Clinton was right on cue with her lambasting of Trump’s “devastating” policy, saying:

It is now the official policy of the US government – a nation of immigrants – to separate children from their families. That is an absolute disgrace. There is no more important test of our country than the way we treat the most vulnerable among us, especially children. We cannot turn away from what’s happening on our watch – we have to act.

Notice Clinton’s wording… “a nation of immigrants”, she’s truly cherry-picking and suiting this idea to her own ends. Yes, America is a nation of immigrants – not illegal ones, but those who choose to come legally. Hillary is solely riding on an appeal to emotions whilst ignoring facts and reality.

As Obama’s Secretary of State, Clinton knows that this same policy she’s deriding Trump for was also SOP under the Obama admin; but to admit that would only make her side look bad. Instead, she willfully misinforms the public – just like the mainstream media is shamelessly doing in regards to this faulty narrative. It is yet another instance of the liberal media keeping their mouths shut when it comes to any negatives being exposed regarding Obama yet belittling Trump for following the same practice.
