A new book argues Julian Assange is being tortured. Will our new PM do anything about it? From theconversation.com

We know the answer to the title question. The new Australian PM will do exactly what previous Australian PMs have done—nothing. From theconversation.com:

It is easy to forget why Julian Assange has been on trial in England for, well, seemingly forever.

Didn’t he allegedly sexually assault two women in Sweden? Isn’t that why he holed up for years in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid facing charges? When the bobbies finally dragged him out of the embassy, didn’t his dishevelled appearance confirm all those stories about his lousy personal hygiene?

Didn’t he persuade Chelsea (formerly Bradley) Manning to hack into the United States military’s computers to reveal national security matters that endangered the lives of American soldiers and intelligence agents? He says he is a journalist, but hasn’t the New York Times made it clear he is just a “source” and not a publisher entitled to first amendment protection?

Review: The Trial of Julian Assange: A Story of Persecution – Nils Melzer (Verso)

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you are not alone. But the answers are actually no. At very least, it’s more complicated than that.

A Vital Book You Must Read, by Llewellyn H. Rockwell

Most people on this site have no love lost for Anthony Fauci, but Robert Kennedy Jr.’s book about Fauci serves as ample reminder why. From Llewellyn H. Rockwell at lewrockwell.com:

If you want to understand what is going on in the world today, there is a book you must read. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s, The Real Anthony Fauci. You might be wondering: Everybody already knows that Fauci is a mad “doctor” with a Napoleon complex who has blighted people’s lives with the deadly Covid vaccines he has pushed for  and crippled our economy through the lockdowns he has urged. And who could forget about “mask mandates”? As Cheri Zaslawski says, “Now let’s do some fact-checking to determine exactly what we can thank Dr. Fauci for:

  • “Dictating the draconian lockdown of America, putting the public under virtual house arrest, destroying the livelihoods of millions of our citizens, and driving many to despair and some to suicide, while killing others via denial of normal medical care to ‘make room’ for the millions of Covid hospitalizations that never materialized
  • Declaring hydroxychloroquine(HCQ) ‘ineffective’ thereby condemning thousands to death who never got this highly successful treatment
  • Pimping for Moderna and Pfizer experimental mRNA ‘vaccines’ that have already resulted in thousands of deaths–3,848 listed in VAERS as of April 2021—and an additional 44,606 ‘adverse events,’ including stroke and paralysis.”

It’s safe to say that Fauci wouldn’t win any popularity contests. But if we know all this, why read a book about him? It’s like saying: “Here’s a book you must read. It shows Stalin was a really bad guy!”

We Must Find a Way to Prevent Bill Gates from Preventing the Next Pandemic, by eugyppius

With Bill Gates, there’s a lot less than meets the eye. Eugyppius has actually read his latest book. From eugyppius at eugyppius.com:

A book review.

For days now, I’ve been fighting my way through Bill Gates’s disturbing new book on How to Prevent the Next Pandemic, and I’ve found myself wondering about one question above all:

How are we to explain Gates, exactly?

I know that for many of you he is a calculating conspiratorial goon. Pretend for a moment that he’s not, though. Imagine, for the sake of argument, that he’s every inch the obtuse, naive and self-important former software developer that he seems to be. How did he get this way, what does he even think he is doing, and what can it mean?

Remember that this man has billions of dollars. A whole world of unusual vices stands open to him: He could hire a mercenary army to invade some country and proclaim himself god-emperor for life. He could retire to a tropical island with his favourite mind-altering substances and a harem of nubile young women. He could do both at once, and other things besides. Instead, he has chosen the path of moral vanity, perhaps the least interesting vice of all, founding a ponderous grantmaking foundation and pooping around the globe in manboobs and ill-fitting polo shirts, pronouncing to all and sundry on subjects he hardly understands.

Michael Senger’s Snake Oil: A Review, by eugyppius

The point of the Chinese response to Covid-19 wasn’t the virus, it was the lockdowns. From eugyppius at eugyppius.com:

Michael P. Senger, Snake Oil: How Xi Jinping Shut Down the World (2021). 220pp. ISBN: 978-1957083780. $10.99.

I will never tire of typing that the whole question, of how lockdowns became the default response to Corona, is very hard. Some points are nevertheless clear: There was, without a doubt and in the earliest stages, a kind of lockdown cabal, a small group of people in different countries who worked to bring some simulacrum of the Hubei response first to Italy and then to most of the globe. An insidious, coordinated information campaign accompanied their efforts, and this should warn us against easy assumptions that they had good intentions.

On social media, a swarm of manipulative pro-lockdown accounts promoted containment and attacked any prominent politician who tried to steer a moderate course. Michael Senger was among the first to point out that this campaign was operated, in part, out of China. His crucial September 2020 article on the Chinese promotion of lockdowns on social media for Tablet Magazine won him wide renown. He had over 100,000 followers on Twitter before the platform banned him; he now writes The New Normal on Substack, and you should all subscribe to him.

Robert Francis Kennedy, Jr.’s Heroic Resistance to the CIA’s Continuing Covid Coup D’état, by Edward Curtin

You can bet Robert Kennedy’s latest take down of Anthony Fauci has earned him scores of enemies in high places. From Edward Curtin at lewrockwell.com:

A Meditation

With his extraordinary new book, The Real Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public HealthRFK, Jr. has made it very clear that he will not allow Orwell’s 1984 totalitarian boot to stamp on his face.  His is a very rare moral courage, and he is asking us to join him, before it is too late and we enter into a new dark age, in recognizing and resisting the evil forces intent on stamping out democracy around the world.  He is not pulling his punches with language as he accuses the political-intelligence-media-money-medical-corporate-pharmaceutical conspirators of executing “the controlled demolition of American constitutional democracy.”  For a brilliant and highly accomplished lawyer and excellent writer and speaker, the choice of those words “controlled demolition” is clearly intentional.

For anyone who doubts that the Covid-19 crisis is an intelligence-run operation controlled by spooks working with medical technocrats like Anthony Fauci, billionaires such as Bill Gates, the military, media, Big Pharma, the World Economic Forum, etc., a close reading of this book – with its 2,194 references – will disabuse one of that illusion.

The CIA has long been deeply involved with vaccines, viruses, drugs, weaponizing cancer, biological weapons, and of course massive mind-control operations – deadly propaganda in plain English – for use in controlling U.S. Americans and foreigners alike.  As Kennedy writes in an ironically understated way, “The pervasive CIA involvement in the global vaccine putsch should give us pause.”  Yes, a long pause.  He continues:

There is nothing in the CIA’s history, in its charter, in its composition, or in its institutional culture that betrays an interest in promoting either public health or democracy. The CIA’s historical preoccupations have been power and control. The CIA has been involved in at least seventy-two attempted and successful coup d’état between 1947 and 1989, involving about a third of the world’s governments. Many of these were functioningd democracies. The CIA does not do public health. It does not do democracy. The CIA does coups d’état. [my emphasis]

Just as it does Kennedy assassinations.

American Pravda: Vaxxing, Anthony Fauci, and AIDS, by Ron Unz

Once a charlatan, always a charlatan. From Ron Unz at unz.com:

RFK, Jr. and the Anti-Vaxxing Movement

I’ve never paid any attention to vaccines and my own views on the role they might play against Covid were entirely mainstream and conventional, as I explained a couple of months ago in a candid 9,000 word interview:

The resulting comment-thread—heavily laced with ferocious attacks against me—soon exceeded 200,000 words and became quite sluggish, so I was forced to follow it up with two successive Open Threads on the vaxxing controversy. Several of the anti-vaxxing articles by Whitney, Roberts, and Dinh also provoked enormously long exchanges.

The commenting-software I’ve developed for this website is quite powerful and flexible, allowing meaningful debates that may easily reach the length of a hefty book, a situation quite rare elsewhere on the Internet. As a consequence, some of the anti-vaxxers declared that our million or two million words of anti-vaxxing discussions probably constituted the largest such repository in existence, an achievement that gave me rather mixed feelings.

Fauci as Darth Vader of the Covid Wars, by Pepe Escobar

Fauci is the Darth Vader who keeps altering the deal, always to his advantage. From Pepe Escobar at unz.com:

Robert F Kennedy Jr’s The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health should be front-page news in all the news media in the US. Instead, it has been met with the proverbial thundering silence.

Critics seeking to have Kennedy dismissed as a kook trading on a famous name had scored a hit in February, when Instagram permanently deleted his account, allegedly for making false claims about coronavirus and vaccines. Nevertheless, the book, published only a few days ago, is already a certified pop hit on Amazon.

RFK Jr., chairman of the board of and chief legal counsel for Children’s Health Defense, sets out to deconstruct a New Normal, encroaching upon all of us since early 2020. In my early 2021 book Raging Twenties I have termed this force techno-feudalism.

Kennedy describes it as “rising totalitarianism,” complete with “mass propaganda and censorship, the orchestrated promotion of terror, the manipulation of science, the suppression of debate, the vilification of dissent and use of force to prevent protest.”

Focusing on Dr Anthony Fauci as the fulcrum of the biggest story of the 21st century allows RFK Jr to paint a complex canvas of planned militarization and, especially, monetization of medicine, a toxic process managed by Big Pharma, Big Tech and the military/intel complex – and dutifully promoted by mainstream media.

A President Betrayed by Bureaucrats: Scott Atlas’s Masterpiece on the Covid Disaster, by Jeffrey A. Tucker

President Trump learned who runs the country, and it ain’t the president. From Jeffrey A. Tucker at brownstone.org:

I’m a voracious reader of Covid books but nothing could have prepared me for Scott Atlas’s A Plague Upon Our House, a full and mind-blowing account of the famed scientist’s personal experience with the Covid era and a luridly detailed account of his time at the White House. The book is hot fire, from page one to the last, and will permanently affect your view of not only this pandemic and the policy response but also the workings of public health in general.

Atlas’s book has exposed a scandal for the ages. It is enormously valuable because it fully blows up what seems to be an emerging fake story involving a supposedly Covid-denying president who did nothing vs. heroic scientists in the White House who urged compulsory mitigating measures consistent with prevailing scientific opinion. Not one word of that is true. Atlas’s book, I hope, makes it impossible to tell such tall tales without embarrassment.

Anyone who tells you this fictional story (including Deborah Birx) deserves to have this highly credible treatise tossed in his direction. The book is about the war between real science (and genuine public health), with Atlas as the voice for reason both before and during his time in the White House, vs. the enactment of brutal policies that never stood any chance of controlling the virus while causing tremendous damage to the people, to human liberty, to children in particular, but also to billions of people around the world.

Covid Totalitarianism Exposed, by Donald W. Miller, Jr., MD

Dr. Donald W. Miller, Jr. favorably reviews a book with the self-explanatory title, COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey. Sounds like a great Christmas gift for those Covid totalitarians on your list. From Dr. Miller at lewrockwell.com:

Peter Breggin MD and his wife, Ginger Breggin, authors of Talking Back to Prozac, have written a key work on the COVID-19 pandemic, titled COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey and published September 30, 2021. They expose the totalitarian nature of the Covid pandemic.

In 547 pages of text backed with 1107 endnotes, mostly scientific citations, the authors show how “global predators” orchestrated the synthesis of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) and distributed it worldwide, causing the Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic. These global predators comprise billionaires such as Michael Bloomberg, Klaus Schwab, and especially, Bill Gates; U.S. and Chinese government officials and scientists, notably Anthony Fauci, MD, head (for 37 years) of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID); plus Big Tech and Big Pharma.

These global predators have profited greatly from the COVID-19 pandemic, vastly increasing their  wealth, glory, and power.

The U.S. and other countries, especially Australia and New Zealand, have adopted the policy where, “The more society can be frightened, isolated, controlled, and suppressed–the safer it will be from the virus.” The Breggins maintain: “The pandemic continues to be used to justify the imposition of vast fear and oppression on the American people. All this is being done in the name of public health, but it represents authoritarian politics with worldwide ramification.” Plus, they soon discovered:

“As we began our research into COVID-19 policies and practices, we became dismayed by the absence of any rational science to justify the shutdowns and to prevent the use of the very safe and only useful medication available, the inexpensive hydroxychloroquine—and now including ivermectin.”

How Media and Tech Elites Seized Control of Elections

It’s a painful subject but Mollie Hemingway has delved into how recent elections have been cooked. From David Gordon at mises.org:

Rigged! How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections
by Mollie Hemingway
Regnery Publishing, 2021, 432 pp.

Mollie Hemingway, an editor of the online magazine The Federalist, calls our attention in this well-researched book to a problem of vital significance. She is a supporter of Donald Trump, though not an uncritical one, and writes from this point of view, but whether you like the former president or not, you cannot ignore her message.

She begins the book with a paradox. Almost all the polls predicted a decisive win for Biden in the November 2020 presidential election, but in fact the result, setting aside altogether the allegations of rigged voting by the former president and his supporters, was very close: “The political class, the corporate media, and their pollsters were all dramatically wrong, and yet Biden would eke out a presidential victory of just under 43,000 votes across three states, out of a total of nearly 160 million.”(p.36. All page references are to the Amazon Kindle edition.) Why were the polls so inaccurate?

One answer would be mistakes in the way in polls were conducted, but Hemingway sees something more sinister in the errors. The inaccurate polls were part of a massive campaign by the government and corporate elite to ensure Trump’s defeat in the election. This campaign continued the efforts by the same elite to secure his defeat in the 2016 election; and, when those efforts failed, to derail his presidency.

Hemingway stresses especially one tactic used in both the 2016 and 2020 elections. In previous elections, most voting took place on the appointed day in November, and although some people cast absentee ballots, these were of minor importance. No longer is this the case, and voting by mail now predominates. “’No excuse’ absentee voting allows citizens to cast their ballots early. With the widespread adoption of this practice in recent years, the United States can no longer be said to have an election day in the strict sense of the term. The country has a months-long voting season. . .In 2016, absentee and mail-in ballots accounted for roughly 33 million of the 140 million ballots counted. In 2020, more than 100 million of the 159 million ballots counted were cast prior to Election Day, including by early voting.” (p.222) This is of great significance, Hemingway says, because fraud is much easier with this sort of voting: it is much harder to verify signatures and voters’ addresses.
