Another Diaper Departure, by Eric Peters

Nobody has protested longer, louder, and more lucidly against Covid-19 facemasking than Eric Peters. From Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

One of my best friends – I will not mention his name, for reasons which will become apparent – just got ejected (almost violently) from the Roanoke cop-op in the Grandin Road area of Roanoke, Va.

I mention their name for reasons that should already be apparent.

My friend has been a long-time customer of the co-op’s and has known people who work there for years, including a woman he thought he was on friendly terms with. He just discovered the true nature of their relationship.

As he walked in the store – his face showing – he was met with a barrage of importuning, directed his way by the woman he thought he knew.

“You have to wear a mask!” she exclaimed.

My friend – who is a medical man and knows the answers to this question – asked her why. “You are putting people at risk!” she yelled.

My friend attempted to explain otherwise, which he is in a position to do, as he possesses the curriculum vitae to speak with authority on the subject. This woman knows that my friend possesses the CVs; knows what he does for a living.

It didn’t matter.

Including the fact – right there on the box – that a disposable “mask” does not serve as a barrier to viruses, inhaled or exhaled. And of course more fundamentally, the fact that a person who isn’t afflicted with a virus is incapable of spreading it.

Fear trumps all.

Where is the Law Against Showing Your Face? by Eric Peters

Governors executive orders are not laws. Laws are passed by legislatures and signed by governors. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

One way to fight the Corona monomaniacs – the very sick people who insist that “Corona” trumps everything, cost no object (whether in money or diminution of life) and who are “mandating” that everyone “wear a mask” everywhere they go – is to not wear the “mask.”

Showing your face is a visual repudiation of their emotional blackmail. Their despicable demand that you look as though you agree with their hysterical hypochondria – by hiding your face behind a “mask.” By looking like am imbecile – someone who believes that a rag worn over one’s face filters out a virus or prevents a virus from being spread.

Another is to oblige them to charge you with a statutory offense for showing your face.

In almost every state, there is a “mandate” or “guideline” ordering everyone to hide their face. But in no state has a law been passed obliging people to do so – nor to stand six feet apart or perform any other act of Sickness Kabuki.

If there is no law, the there can be no charge – or conviction.

Not without admitting – openly – that we live under tyranny. That they can arrest and cage us at their pleasure.

This is an important point, at least  insofar as exposing the fiction that the United States and the states which comprise it are governed by laws duly passed by legislators who are elected by the people to represent them.

Final Words on Masks, by Dr. Mark Sircus

Mask mandates have nothing to do with health (most masks are completely ineffective) and everything to do with control. From Dr. Mark Sircus at lewrockwell.com:

We have to stop that deadly virus that is so incredibly virulent that, according to the CDC, 99.8% of those exposed to it survive. Wear your masks is the order of the day, but along the way, many, including the Surgeon General of the United States, have said it is a waste of time.

That did not stop Germany from becoming the first country to impose a fine on all non-mask wearers. Chancellor Angela Merkel announced during a virtual meeting in September with state governors that almost the entire country will be under a 50 euros minimum ($59) fine for breaching the national mask mandate.

The use of face masks has become a highly politicized issue throughout the pandemic, with some individuals claiming that wearing a mask can negatively impact a person’s breathing and put their health at risk. Others say it is a useless barrier that lets viral particles in and out with ease. Regardless, the central authorities in our world want you and your children to wear one.

Running, walking, or even socializing outside
is not the cause of the vast majority of
coronavirus outbreaks, regardless of mask usage.

Health officials have gone back and forth on masks, but in general, they like to assure the public that face coverings can safely and effectively prevent the spread of COVID-19 respiratory droplets. Now, in what might be seen as a desperate move, they are promoting their safety with a study that assesses the changes in oxygen and carbon dioxide levels trying to put the best face on the dangers of mask-wearing.

This Masquerade, by Hardscrabble Farmer

The joys of not masking. From Hardscrabble Farmer at theburningplatform.com:

For those of you who keep up with the stories about our life on the farm you are probably aware of my stance on the events surrounding the coronavirus and the reaction to its spread. My personal belief is that any pathogen- regardless of its classification- are naturally occurring organisms necessary to life as we know it. They play a role in a closed system and as such the idea that they can be eradicated is a knee jerk response predicated on a misconception. For the vast majority of living organisms affected by virus, they serve to strengthen the immune system, something that has been left out of the discussion for some reason or another.

In other words, everything that has been done by government, media and corporate entities that control the flow of information and influence behavior have been in error, either mistakenly or deliberately. The false hope of a vaccine, for example, allows for people to believe that at some point virologists will be able to immunize the world’s population more effectively than the very system we were born with, one that protects 99.7% of the human race at no cost as long as people behave in ways that reduce their own bodies ability to produce antigens. It is, in short, a panacea rather than a solution. The best protection against illness is and will always remain, a healthy body and lifestyle. There is simply no means to eliminate risk from life, and in the words of some anonymous Internet genius I recently read, life is the major cause of death.

Diaper Report 9/24/20, by Eric Peters

Mandating face masks has nothing to do with health. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

Being Undiapered is a weird thing these days – a measure of just how weird these days are. In the “new normal,” it is considered abnormal to show your face – and normal to walk around with what amounts to a literal Diaper over your face – in terms of medical effectiveness – since any old piece of cloth qualifies.

That’s pretty weird.

Silly, too.

If the WuFlu were the dire omnipresence it’s asserted to be – which assertion flies in the face of the facts, but never mind – then surely any old piece of cloth would not qualify. Nothing less than one of those fairly pricey respirators would be the least people would have to wear.

Plus goggles. Which wouldn’t be silly, if the WuFlu were, in fact, the dire omnipresence it’s asserted to be. But almost no one Goggles – to prevent the exposed surface of your eyes from having virus particles enter your system that way. A wide-open vector for the much-dreaded “spread.”

The Gesundheitsfuhrers do not mandate it; CDC is silent.

Which tells you everything about the “dire omnipresence” of the WuFlu.

Yet almost everyone Diapers – literally. They don’t “PPE” – unless you believe any old piece of cloth protects your person from viruses, which is the same as believing that not stepping on sidewalk cracks will keep your momma’s back intact.

It’s a neurotic habit, normalized via habituation and social pressure.

And it’s a show – of submission.

Which is the dire omnipresence.

If you’re Undiapered; if you refuse to play-pretend that death is in the air and that a dirty old bandana or “mask” that comes out of a box on which it plainly states that it does not protect against the transmission of viruses somehow does, in the manner of keeping your momma’s back intact by not walking on sidewalk cracks.

Mandatory Mask Wearing Is Silent Terrorism Meant for Psychological Submission, by Gary D. Barnett

Given that the medical benefits of masks are questionable, if there are any, what other purposes are served by mandatory masks? From Gary D. Barnett at lewrockwell.com:

“If you are too weak to give yourselves your own law, then a tyrant shall lay his yoke upon you and say:” Obey! Clench your teeth and obey!” “And all good and evil shall be drowned in obedience to him.”

Friedrich Nietzsche

Since when is depriving the body and mind of oxygen, and breathing in expelled carbon dioxide (CO2) good for the health of humans? Since when is wearing a partial face covering that is multiple times more porous than can protect against any virus penetration helpful? Since when is hiding all expression from others not psychologically damaging? Since when is it legitimate and not hypocritical for the state to outlaw Muslim women from wearing head and face coverings that are part of their culture, and in the same breath force all Americans to cover their faces with a mask? Since when does any politician have any right to dictate to an entire population that they have to wear masks or any other type of clothing? Since when in this day and age did absolute slavery of all become a mainstay of American society?

Forced mask wearing due to political control over people is a major aspect of the tyrannical response to this fraudulent virus ‘pandemic.’ Social distancing, forced testing, quarantines, mandated business closings, temperature checks, mass surveillance, and any number of other atrocious invasions of privacy are all demeaning and oppressive, but the state and local orders supported by the national political and ‘health’ organizations to wear masks, is especially instructive of the real agenda sought. That agenda is as clear as day, and is being implemented not only as a test of mass societal compliance, but also to force people apart and to remove closeness, expression, and emotion from the human psyche. This is a purposeful state exercise with the intent of destroying the spirit of the American public, leaving only a society of unfeeling and obedient drones awaiting the next order handed down from on high.

Unmasked, by Gregory Morin

The science, or lack thereof, behind masking. From Gregory Morin at theburningplatform.com:

Why Face Masks DON'T Work, According To SCIENCE in 2020 | Prevention, Plan for life, Face mask

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”

New England Journal of Medicine, 2020; 382:363

These days everyone imagines himself or herself to be a scientist. Scolds, who labor under the delusion that reading the New York Times is equivalent to holding a doctorate, unceasingly inflict on us finger-wagging lectures about how we need to “listen to the science” when it comes to masks. Apparently “masks work” because “The Science™” says so. Newsflash: these media figures and self-styled authorities aren’t (largely) scientists and know not of what they speak. As a scientist myself I feel compelled to set the record straight on what is, and is not, science. For those degreed scientists out there parroting the mask propaganda: for shame, you should know better. Cherry picking, selection bias, anecdotal data, and dubious models have no place in the arsenal of scientific inquiry.

What is the claim built on?

Here’s the problem with “the science” about masks: the media cited studies are built on a foundation of sand. They are based on computer models1, anecdotal stories2, theoretical mechanistic (non-biological) analysis, or hypothetical contra factual scenarios.1 In short, if the conclusion of a study rests on “this would have happened” then that is not science. Science does not compare contra factual or hypothetical scenarios. It analyzes concrete, reproducible, controlled conditions (that are broad enough to be statistically valid). In every single story where there has been a reference made to evidence that “masks work” and I have drilled down through the 42 layers of links to get at the actual research document, it turns out the study is, surprise, based on a contra factual model, anecdote, or purely mechanistic study. Every. Single. Time. How do models support the claims?

Sweden Close To Victory Over Coronavirus; Never Had A Lockdown Or Mask Mandate, by Steve Watson

There’s the wrong way to do coronavirus, and there’s the Swedish way. From Steve Watson at summitnews.com:

“Sweden has gone from being the country with the most infections in Europe to the safest one.”

NAINA HELEN JAMA / Contributor / Getty Images

As the rest of Europe and the world remains under the grip of draconian rules and the threat of new lockdowns, Sweden, which allowed its citizens to remain free throughout the entire pandemic, has pretty much declared victory over the coronavirus.

The country now has one of the lowest infection rates on the planet, and it’s difficult not to admire how it has handled the past year, with no strict lockdown or compulsory face mask rules. All businesses, schools and public places remained open in Sweden for the duration.

“Sweden has gone from being the country with the most infections in Europe to the safest one,” Sweden’s senior epidemiologist Dr. Anders Tegnell commented to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

“What we see now is that the sustainable policy might be slower in getting results, but it will get results eventually,” Tegnell clarified.

“And then we also hope that the result will be more stable,” he added.

Untruth in Advertising, by Eric Peters

People don’t believe the propaganda about the coronavirus. If they did, they wouldn’t leave the house, protected only by flimsy face masks that demonstrably don’t work. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

Would you leave your home – even if you weren’t ordered to stay home – if you actually believed the Black Death (or something comparably serious) was in the air and that you stood a very real chance of being killed by it?

Would you trust your life to a dirty old bandana? A disposable “mask”? Feel comfortable because you were standing six feet apart from a possible plague carrier?

Probably not.

Shopping isn’t worth dying. A paycheck is of less value than your life. Yet people shop and work and send their kids to school – Diapered – because they want to pretend they are worried about sickness.

This is the real sickness afflicting America.

The Diaper is a prop.

Kind of like the blanket Peanuts character Linus carried around with him – except not cute.

No one in their right mind – in possession of the facts – would risk the Black Death or something even an eighth as serious for any reason shy of absolute necessity. The evidence – in the form of the bodies, in the form of every third person they know falling mortally ill – as opposed to the cases! the cases! – would keep them hunkered behind their doors until the plague had passed and never mind a dirty bandana over their mouths.

But people out of their minds are out and about, doing pretty much what they were doing before they lost their minds – with a Diaper on, which is the medically useful equivalent of flapping your arms when your parachute doesn’t open.

Cloth bandanas do not bar entry to viruses.

Neither do disposable “masks.”
