Ukraine press conference explicitly ties Hunter and Joe Biden to corruption, by Andrea Widburg

NOPE (Not Our President-Elect) is a crook through and through. From Andrea Widburg at americanthinker.com:

A video from a press conference in Ukraine is going viral.  It is the follow-up to a video press conference that Ukraine released over a year ago, in which members of the Ukraine Parliament demanded that President Zelensky and President Trump investigate billions of dollars of corruption in Ukraine that is tied to the U.S.  The newly released video is meant to provide documentary and eyewitness information about the corruption — and the Biden family figures prominently in the story.

The video is long — over an hour — and not all of it involves the Biden family. This post quotes those portions of the press conference that address Biden family corruption.  The gist of it is that, while Democrats obsess about Trump’s purported criminality, despite the absence of any evidence, their chosen standard-bearer is extraordinarily corrupt.

Indeed, I would argue that Biden is one of the most corrupt politicians ever in America.  In the past, corrupt politicians have confined themselves to playing dirty in their own backyard, making money from deals with fellow Americans.

I believe that Biden is the first person ever to serve in the highest reaches of government — the Senate and the vice presidency — who sold his country out to the highest foreign bidders.  It’s an insult to everything America has stood for since its inception that massive election fraud might allow this person to set foot in the Oval Office.

Biden’s office warned in 2015 that Ukrainian oligarch who hired son Hunter was deemed corrupt, by John Solomon

The big news here is that none of this was released until after the election. They may be releasing it now to hasten Joe Biden’s departure from the presidency. From John Solomon at justthenews.com:

Vice President Joe Biden’s office was warned in 2015 that the Obama State Department believed the Ukrainian gas oligarch whose firm hired Hunter Biden was corrupt and that some of the evidence supporting that conclusion had been gathered by the U.S. Justice Department, newly released diplomatic memos show.

Then-U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in Kiev alerted Biden’s top advisers to the concerns about Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky shortly before the vice president visited with Ukrainian officials in December 2015.

“I assume all have the DoJ background on Zlochevsky,” Pyatt wrote in an email to top Biden advisers in the White House. “The short unclas version (in non lawyer language) is that US and UK were cooperating on a case to seize his corrupt assets overseas (which had passed through the US).”

New Memos Reveal Aggressive US Lobbying Campaign By Hunter Biden’s Corrupt Ukrainian ‘Friends’, Tyler Durden

Burisma, the Ukrainian outfit that hired Hunter Biden, has employed an elaborate and expensive lobbying campaign to try to repair its tattered reputation. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

New memos obtained by Just the News and the Southern Foundation reveal that Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma conducted an aggressive lobbying campaign directed at the US State Department throughout the 2016 US election, with the goal of pressuring the Obama administration to lean on Kiev to drop corruption allegations.

“They keep trying through every channel they can,” said one State Department official in the summer of 2016, referring to Burisma’s relentless lobbying – efforts which appear to include over $3 million collected by Hunter Biden’s firm from Burisma while his father supervised Obama’s Ukraine policy.

The new memos, released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reveal “far more contact between Burisma and the U.S. embassy in Kiev than was acknowledged by witnesses during President Trump’s impeachment proceedings,” according to the report.

We have been so frustrated in our attempt to get the documentation that we need before we can sit down and interview people, and as I understand it, the documents you just obtained in your FOIA request we haven’t received unbelievably,” Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) said on the John Solomon Reports podcast.

“I cannot tell you how frustrated and ticked off, I’ll use that word, ticked off about where we are here. So yeah, I subpoenaed the FBI. And, you know, expect additional subpoenas to be forthcoming,” he added.

The memos show Burisma’s lobbying efforts were led by a Democratic firm called Blue Star Strategies and aided by the nonprofit Atlantic Council foreign policy think tank, stretching from the State Department’s executive suite in Washington at the start of the election to the U.S. embassy in Kiev in the waning days of the Obama administration.

Burisma representatives repeatedly pressed for meetings, at times invoking Hunter Biden’s name, starting with a Blue Star conversation with then-Undersecretary of State Catherine Novelli in January 2016 before turning their attention to U.S. diplomats on the ground in Kiev, the memos show.

By summer 2016 — their mission to clear Burisma’s name still incomplete — Blue Star officials pigeonholed the new U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, during her Senate confirmation hearing and then attended a private reception where she was honored, according to the memos. –Just the News

“We had already offered our regrets to Blue Star. But they keep trying through every channel they can,” State Department official Catherine Croft wrote July 29, 2016 to official George Kent, a key player at the US embassy in Kiev.

Fired NY prosecutor was given Biden-Ukraine allegations in 2018 but didn’t follow up, emails show, by John Solomon

The prosecutor President Trump fired this weekend took a pass on investigating Joe and Hunter Biden’s corruption in Ukraine. From John Solomon at justthenews.com:

Could the impeachment scandal have been prevented if the now-fired U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman had followed up on Ukrainian allegations about Joe Biden and his family in 2018?

That’s the tantalizing question raised by emails from fall 2018 between an American lawyer and the chief federal prosecutor in Manhattan that were obtained by Just the News.

The memos show that well before Ukrainian prosecutors reached out to Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer, in 2019 to talk about the Bidens and alleged 2016 election interference they first approached Berman’s office in New York in October 2018 via another American lawyer.

The memos show Little Rock, Ark., lawyer Bud Cummins, a former U.S. attorney himself, reached out at least five times in October 2018 to Berman seeking to arrange a meeting with then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

Ukraine judge orders Joe Biden be listed as alleged perpetrator of crime in prosecutor’s firing, by John Solomon

Trump will be lobbying darts at Joe Biden’s corruption from now until November. From John Solomon at justthenews.com:

Latest twist in Ukraine impeachment drama could stretch into Biden’s fall campaign as fired prosecutor seeks legal remedy in courts.

Joe Biden lays out coronavirus plan
Joe Biden lays out coronavirus plan.
The infamous story of Joe Biden’s effort to force the firing of Ukraine’s chief prosecutor in 2016 has taken a new legal twist in Kiev, just as the former vice president is sewing up the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in America.

In Kiev late last month, District Court Judge S. V. Vovk ordered the country’s law enforcement services to formally list the fired prosecutor, Victor Shokin, as the victim of an alleged crime by the former U.S. vice president, according to an official English translation of the ruling obtained by Just the News.

The court had previously ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigations in February to investigate Shokin’s claim that he was fired in spring 2016 under pressure from Biden because he was investigating Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company where Biden’s son Hunter worked.

Phone Calls Between Biden And Ukraine’s Poroshenko Leaked; Details $1 Billion “Quid Pro Quo” To Fire Burisma Prosecutor, by Tyler Durden

Well how about that, there was a quid pro quo in the Ukraine after all, just not the one the managers of Trump’s impeachment fiasco were looking for. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Leaked phone calls between Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko explicitly detail the quid-pro-quo arrangement to fire former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin – who Poroshenko admits did nothing wrong – in exchange for $1 billion in US loan guarantees (which Biden openly bragged about in January, 2018).

The calls were leaked by Ukrainian MP Andrii Derkach, who says the recordings of “voices similar to Poroshenko and Biden” were given to him by investigative journalists who claim Poroshenko made them.

Shokin was notably investigating Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that hired Biden’s son, Hunter, to sit on its board. Shokin had opened a case against Burisma’s founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, who granted Burisma permits to drill for oil and gas in Ukraine while he was Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. In January, 2019, Shokin stated in a deposition that there were five criminal cases against Zlochevesky, including money laundering, corruption, illegal funds transfers, and profiteering through shell corporations while he was a sitting minister.

Impeachment Boomerang: Contacts exposed between US embassy, Hunter Biden-connected Ukraine firm, by John Solomon

Contrary to her sworn testimony, former US ambassador to the Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was well aware of Ukrainian firm Burisma’s connection to Hunter Biden and its efforts to clean up its image. She met with a Burisma representative and there were extensive communications about Burisma within the embassy. From John Solomon at justthenews.com:

During President Trump’s impeachment, former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch testified to Congress that she knew little beyond an initial briefing and “press reports” about Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian natural gas firm that had hired Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and was dogged by a corruption investigation.

“It just wasn’t a big deal,” she declared under oath on Oct. 11, 2019.

But newly unearthed State Department memos obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show Yovanovitch’s embassy in Kiev, including the ambassador herself, was engaged in several discussions and meetings about Burisma as the gas firm scrambled during the 2016 election and transition to settle a long-running corruption investigation and polish its image before President Trump took office.

Yovanovitch, for instance, was specifically warned in an email by her top deputy in September 2016 — three years before her testimony — that Burisma had hired an American firm with deep Democratic connections called Blue Star Strategies to “rehabilitate the reputation” of the Ukrainian gas firm and that it had placed “Hunter Biden on its board,” the memos show.

Joe Biden’s ‘Temper Was Overflowing’ After Ukrainian Prosecutor Seized Burisma Assets: Report, by Tyler Durden

This should dispel any doubts about the Bidens’ corruption in Ukraine. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

The Ukrainian prosecutor Joe Biden got fired by threatening to withhold vital US financial aid says that the former Vice President was outraged after Ukrainian authorities seized the assets of Burisma – a natural gas firm owned by a notoriously corrupt oligarch who hired Hunter Biden to sit on its board.

The fired prosecutor, Victor Shokin, sat down with OAN News and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani to explain what happened when former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko told him to stop investigating Burisma.

“Yes, that’s what he told me. He came to me and said, “you are a patriot of Ukraine, we need this billion dollars. We are at war, and if you are a patriot you will close this case.“”

“My conversation with Poroshenko was in a phone call,” Shokin continued. “It was after we started seizing Burisma assets in Ukraine when Poroshenko called me and said “listen, this all has to stop already. Joe Biden’s temper is overflowing. This seizing of Burisma assets was the last straw.””

A dozen document troves that could change the Ukraine scandal if Trump released them, by John Solomon

By all means, release every single relevant document in the Ukraine matter. From John Solomon at johnsolomonreports.com:

There are still wide swaths of documentation kept under wraps inside government agencies like the State Department that could substantially alter the public’s understanding of what has happened in the U.S.-Ukraine relationships now at the heart of the impeachment probe.

As House Democrats mull whether to pursue impeachment articles and the GOP-led Senate braces for a possible trial, here are 12 tranches of government documents that could benefit the public if President Trump ordered them released, and the questions these memos might answer.

State Department Releases Detailed Accounts Of Biden-Ukraine Corruption, by Tyler Durden

Sometimes Freedom of Information Act requests don’t get you the information you thought you’d be getting, or information that’s the opposite of what you wanted. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

A liberal watchdog group’s attempt to nail Rudy Giuliani has backfired in spectacular fashion after their FOIA request resulted in the US State Department releasing detailed accusations of corruption against the Bidens – based on interviews with former Ukrainian officials who were in charge of the investigations.

Responding to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit from the group American Oversight, the State Department on Friday night released almost 100 pages of records detailing efforts by Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani to investigate corruption, which include contacts with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) earlier this year.

While American Oversight’s ‘gotcha‘ is that Giuliani had “multiple contacts” with Mike Pompeo and others while investigating Ukraine corruption, they completely ignore interview notes containing detailed allegations by former Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin – who Joe Biden had fired, as well as his successor, prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko – who “believes Mr. Viktor Shokin the former Prosecutor General is honest.”
