YouTube Flags Tulsi Gabbard’s Criticism of “War Machine” as “Offensive” Content, by Paul Joseph Watson

Tulsi Gabbard refuses to spout the propaganda and repeatedly engages in unapproved truth telling. That can only mean one thing: she gets flagged or tossed off Big Tech platforms. From Paul Joseph Watson at summit.news:

Military industrial complex get their feelings hurt.

YouTube flagged a Fox News interview in which former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said war in Ukraine was good for the military industrial complex as “offensive” content.

Yes, really.

Apparently, upsetting war profiteering defense contractors is now grounds for censorship.

During the interview, host Laura Ingraham asked Gabbard why people were still demanding no fly zones, something that would likely cause World War III, when President Zelensky was “stepping back from his earlier NATO wishes and even demands?”

Gabbard responded by pointing out that Zelensky has said he’s willing to negotiate with Putin and “set this NATO membership thing aside.”

According to YouTube, such advocacy for peace is borderline content and needs to be hidden behind a warning screen. The video is also age-restricted.

Congratulations, Elitists: Liberals and Conservatives Do Have Common Interests Now, by Matt Taibbi

Even some liberal journalists are rejecting the current woke and cancel culture nonsense and other liberal pieties. From Matt Taibbi at taibbi.substack.com:

Well done, snobs of the #Resistance. You made the Horseshoe Theory real.

“Trump-defender” Glenn Greenwald.

The hilarious headline in the Daily Beast yesterday read like a cross of Clickhole and Izvestia circa 1937: “Is Glenn Greenwald the New Master of Right-Wing Media? FROM HIS MOUTH TO FOX’S EARS!”

The story, fed to poor Beast media writer Lloyd Grove by certain unnamed embittered personages at the Intercept, is that their former star writer Greenwald appears on, and helps provide content for — gasp! — right-wing media! It’s nearly the exclusive point of the article. Greenwald goes on TV with… those people! The Beast’s furious journalisming includes a “spot check” of the number of Fox items inspired by Greenwald articles (“dozens”!) and multiple passages comparing Greenwald to Donald Trump, the ultimate insult in #Resistance world. This one made me laugh out loud:

In a self-perpetuating feedback loop that runs from Twitter to Fox News and back again, Greenwald has managed, like Trump before him, to orchestrate his very own news cycles.

This, folks, is from the Daily Beast, a publication that has spent much of the last five years huffing horseshit into headlines, from Bountygate to Bernie’s Mittens to classics like SNL: Alec Baldwin’s Trump Admits ‘I Don’t Care About America’. The best example was its “investigation” revealing that three of Tulsi Gabbard’s 75,000 individual donors — the late Princeton professor Stephen Cohen, peace activist Sharon Tennison, and a person called “Goofy Grapes” who may or may not have worked for Russia Today host Lee Camp — were, in their estimation, Putin “apologists.” Speaking of creating your own news cycles, this asinine smear inspired serious stories by ABC News and CNN, and when Gabbard denounced it as “fake news,” Politico jumped in with the now-familiar retort:

“Fake news” is a favorite phrase of President Donald Trump…

The US media’s desire to play kingmaker in Trump-Biden clash is forcing millions of Americans to the media fringes, by Robert Bridge

Fox News had a virtual monopoly as the one mainstream conservative-leaning news television outlet. With its transformation into just another hack legacy media organ, it will be competing with ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN. As a business move, it looks suicidal. From Robert Bridge at rt.com:

The US media's desire to play kingmaker in Trump-Biden clash is forcing millions of Americans to the media fringes
t’s tough times for Republican voters, as their last big media ally, Fox News, appears to have abandoned Donald Trump and millions of viewers at the 11th hour. But is alternative media really the answer?

Like a man without a country, Republicans are members of a political tribe sorely lacking media support. That fact alone makes it all the more incredible that Trump ever set foot in the White House, and also helps explain his (possible) defeat in 2020.

Now the question is, did Fox News just outfox itself?

Once upon a time, Fox provided the Republican Party solitary shelter from a storm of media attacks, which ramped up considerably with the election of Donald Trump, a Washington outsider loathed by the establishment. Eventually, however, for reasons known only to Rupert Murdoch, the channel began to abandon its core audience.

Last year, for example, Fox viewers got their first whiff of change when the 89-year-old media mogul brought on board none other than Donna Brazile, a former CNN commentator as well as a former Democratic National Committee chair. Then there’s Chris Wallace, the Fox News anchor who served as moderator during the first debate between Trump and Biden. Critics say Wallace was so harsh with the US president that it appeared as though Trump was debating against two people instead of one.

The Other Winners and Losers, by Kurt Schlichter

The pollsters and Fox News deserve their spots at the top Kurt Schlichter’s list. From Schlichter at theburningplatform.com:

The Other Winners and Losers

At this writing, and probably at many writings to come, the final decision about who won the election itself remains to be seen. But it’s not only the politicians who won or lost – there are plenty of other winners and losers to go around. Let’s praise and mock them respectively.

LOSER: The Pollsters

You know, in the world we normal people dwell in, when you consistently fail, you get fired. But, as in so many of our garbage establishment institutions, when you’re a pollster there is no accountability. You keep failing and failing and failing and your dumb clients and the dumb media keep citing your garbage surveys. It’s really remarkable. You would think they would have a little pride in themselves and not want to look like idiots, but no. Instead, it’s, “Our weighting gives us Biden +15 in Texas.

Gee, that sounds right. Let’s go with that!” Except for a few outlets, always the ones that take conservatives seriously enough to reach out to them, it’s been a disaster. But next time, we’ll hear once again about how, “Ackshuuuuuallly, the polls were very accurate in 2020” as if we have the same memory issues as the guy they were trying to help. The nice thing is that even the least woke Republican is woke to the poll scam now.

After Peddling Trump-Russia Hit-Pieces Before 2016 Election – MSM Totally Ignores Bobulinski Bombshells On Bidens, by Tyler Durden

No surprise here. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

The mainstream media is silent following an explosive Tuesday night interview with Tony Bobulinski, a former Naval veteran of 20 years who provided text, email, and anecdotal evidence that he was brought in by the Biden family to manage a venture with a CCP-linked Chinese entity, and that they concealed Joe Biden’s involvement.

“Why on 10:38 on the night of May 2 [2017] would Joe Biden take time out of his schedule to take time with me, behind a column so people could not see us, to have a discussion with his family and my family and business at a very high level?” Bobulinski asked host Tucker Carlson.

And just 11 days after that clandestine 2017 meeting with Joe, an email was sent regarding ‘remuneration packages’ for six individuals – which included a proposed equity split of “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy.”

When Bobulinski asked Joe Biden’s brother why they weren’t concerned about the political or headline risk involved in case Joe Biden decided to run for office in the future, Jim Biden replied “plausible deniability.

And when Bobulinski was threatening to go public with this information after Rep. Adam Schiff smeared him as a Russian asset, Biden family representative Rob Walker told Bobulinski “You’re just gonna bury all of us.

And the MSM won’t cover any of this. Nevermind that Joe Biden lied in 2019 when he said that he ‘never talked to Hunter about his business.’ This is the same constellation of news organizations which was happy to peddle unfounded rumors about then-candidate Donald Trump’s nonexistent relationship with Russia, before the 2016 election.

“Jeffrey Epstein Was Strangulated”, Famous Forensic Expert Says, by Tyler Durden

A forensic expert has gone public on Fox News with what anyone with a three-digit IQ already knows: Jeffrey Epstein was murdered. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

This morning on Fox and Friends, Dr. Michael Baden, a famous forensic expert and former New York City medical examiner said that at the end of the investigation he did on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein’s brother, its findings are more consistent with homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging.

Dr. Michael Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s brother and observed the autopsy, told Fox News that the 66-year-old Epstein had two fractures on the left and right sides of his larynx, specifically the thyroid cartilage or Adam’s apple, as well as one fracture on the left hyoid bone above the Adam’s apple, Baden told Fox News.

“Those three fractures are extremely unusual in suicidal hangings and could occur much more commonly in homicidal strangulation,” said Baden.

“The prominent hemorrhage in the soft tissues of the neck next to the fractures is evidence of a fresh neck compression that could have caused the death.”

“I’ve not seen in 50 years where that occurred in a suicidal hanging case,” the 85-year-old medical legend told Fox News.

The Left-Wing Takeover of Fox News, by Cliff Kincaid

Rupert Murdoch isn’t going to be around forever, and his probable successor don’t share his political philosophy. From Cliff Kincaid, Accuracy in Media at aim.org:

When Bill O’Reilly left Fox News he declared, “I am very confident the truth will come out and when it does I don’t know if you are going to be surprised, but I think you are going to be shaken as I am.” Some observers think he was referring not to the sexual harassment allegations against him, but to behind-the-scenes maneuvers by one of Rupert Murdoch’s sons, James, and his very liberal wife, Kathryn. Her bio says, “Between 2007-2011, Ms. Murdoch served as Director of Strategy & Communications for the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) where she also managed CCI ‘s partnership with Microsoft in the development of a global greenhouse gas emissions tracking software.”

In short, she is a globalist insider who sees the green hysteria as a viable way to control people and their lifestyles.

We warned back in 2007 in our column, “Rupert Murdoch Picks Liberal Son as Successor,” that James Murdoch was maneuvering to take control of Fox News. We also noted that James Murdoch “buys into global warming hysteria,” and that his liberal philosophy on environmental and other matters “could become the party line” of the Fox News Channel.

It turns out that his wife is more of an environmental zealot than he is.

Accuracy in Media had attended the annual meeting of the Fox News parent company, raising concern about James Murdoch’s increasing influence in the company and his attacks on conservative groups, such as the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI). He wrote an article for the Guardian attacking CEI for dispensing “inaccurate propaganda” about the global warming issue.

Of course, many conservatives regard the theory of man-made global warming as a hoax and a means by which government at many levels hopes to control, regulate and tax the use of natural resources.

Referring to the alleged effects of global warming, now called climate change, James Murdoch said, “We can have an enormous impact if we encourage our customers to make simple, effective changes in their lifestyles.”

They Said That? 4/2/15

The video is a “discussion” between Sean Hannity and Patrick Buchanan on Fox News. The point of this post is not to delve into the substantive merits of Iranian nuclear negotiations, the contentious subject under discussion. Rather, it is to demonstrate what mainstream media news has become. Keep in mind that Buchanan is a guest on the show and Hannity is his host. The two were on the air for 6 minutes and 2 seconds. Buchanan has written numerous columns on Iran, some of which have been featured on SLL (“Did We Vote For War?” 11/18/14, “The Persians Are Coming!” 1/27/15, “Does Iran Really Want A Bomb?” 3/10/15). Given his output on the subject, it is fair to say that not even if he had been allowed to speak the full 6 minutes and 2 seconds would he have been able to elucidate his underlying assumptions, make his argument, and counter potential objections.

However, Buchanan’s time fell far short of that 6 minutes and 2 seconds. Hannity spoke, sometimes over Buchanan, for 3 minutes and 31 seconds, or 58 percent of the time. He interrupted Buchanan at least 12 times, so Buchanan was rarely able to complete his thoughts. Buchanan handled the situation about as well as it could be handled, but Hannity’s  rudeness was appalling. He made no effort to question Buchanan in such a way that would allow his guest to make his points, rather the host turned it into a nonstop argument. He told Buchanan he was “dreaming,” twice, and that he was “dead wrong.” Somewhere, if we were brought up right, we were taught to be gracious to our guests, and to take turns talking. Hannity’s act would be an embarrassment to any well-mannered first grader (and yes, they do still exist).

Why was Buchanan even invited on to the show if Hannity was just going to regurgitate Fox News’ well-known position on the Iranian negotiations? Why would Buchanan subject himself to Hannity’s abuse? Hannity is by no means an anomaly. He has a partner in pompous, preening, presumption in Bill O’Reilly. Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and other “celebrity” television journalists (who are, after all, just glorified news and propaganda readers) are often just as uncivil and outright rude. There are obviously viewers who want to see opposing views shouted down, but this kind of display is an insult to most viewers’ intelligence, and has to be one of the reasons why so many now get most of their news and analysis from the Internet.
