Gun Stores See 7000% Increase In Customers Looking For Totally Awesome Gun That Blows The Lungs Out Of Bad Guys

From The Babylon Bee:

U.S.—Gun stores across America have seen a major increase in interest as customers flock to their stores to find the “totally awesome gun that blows the lungs out of bad guys.” The gun, which doesn’t exist, has inadvertently boosted the sale of 9mm handguns.

“Biden has been great for business,” said Anthony Darabont, manager of Bullets For Hire in Riverside, CA. “I printed out his dumb quote on a poster and hung it around the shop. Now the guns sell themselves!”

Experts suggest the huge increase in gun sales is expected to die down soon after people realize they aren’t able to blow lungs out of anything.

“We did have someone here last week who shot someone in self-defense. The gun probably saved his life but he would not stop complaining that the robber’s lungs weren’t flopping around all over the place like dead fish,” Darabont added. “So I said to her: ‘Lady, you can call the president. Maybe he’ll give you a refund.’ and then I said L-O-L because that’s how I do.”

Left-leaning politicians have sounded the alarm over increased gun interest among the citizenry. “Guns are very dangerous!” screeched Elizabeth Warren. “That’s why I’m calling for an immediate 2nd amendment committee to see how we can get around this pesky human right to defense and abolish all legal guns.”

Following her comments, gun sales surged yet again across the board. The NRA then formally thanked Warren for increasing gun sales around the country.

Australians Getting Ready To Overthrow Tyrannical Government—Wait, Nevermind, Seems They Gave Up All Their Guns

From The Babylon Bee:

Why are so many Americans suddenly relocating, buying guns and storing up huge quantities of food? by Michael Snyder

A lot of people are preparing for the worst. From Michael Snyder at endoftheamericandream.com:

7 On Your Side Investigates requested from the United States Postal Service how many families requested a change of address and moved to zip codes outside of New York City, and the numbers are big.

In fact, those numbers show that over 246,000 New Yorkers “have filed a change of address request” just since the month of March…

Overall since March, more than 246,000 people have filed a change of address request. That’s an almost 100% increase compared to the same time period in 2019.

Of course people have been moving away from other major cities in very large numbers as well, and this has created a tremendous glut of empty apartments that need to be filled.

Give Up Your Guns Because Democrats Will Totally Protect You, by Kurt Schlichter

After the riots, good luck with those gun control laws. From Kurt Schlichter at theburningplatform.com:

Give Up Your Guns Because Democrats Will Totally Protect You

Watching the Minneapolis Police Department abandon its precinct to the torch and crowbar-wielding peaceful protesters in that Democrat-run state and city, my first thought was that I should disarm. After all, I have been reliably informed by our smart and competent elite betters that I don’t need firearms because the police will protect me, and I am sure that even though they can’t defend their own police station they will absolutely defend me, my family, and our pet unicorn Chet.

Confusingly, I have also been reliably informed that the police are evil monsters of racism and badness and that they should be the only ones with guns because of reasons that I am not clear on, but I do know that our smart and competent elite betters know better. If you have any doubts about that, just look at the urban paradise that is progressive Minneapolis. I hear the zoo has a new unicorn exhibit.

Doug Casey’s REAL State of the Union – The Second Amendment, Part II

Decentralized manufacturing via 3D printing may render the gun control argument moot. People will just print up guns in their basements. From Doug Casey at internationalman.com:

Part I

Joel Bowman: G’day, Doug. Ready to talk guns again?

Doug Casey: It’s one of my favorite subjects.

JB: Great. Faithful International Man readers will, of course, recognize this discussion as part of our ongoing conversation titled: Doug Casey’s REAL State of the Union. The idea is to use the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution – also known as the Bill of Rights – as a kind of measuring tool to see just how present day America fairs in relation to its founding ideals.

DC: Of course, the Constitution is pretty much a dead letter these days, the Supreme Court having more or less interpreted it out of existence. The only parts that are strictly observed have to do with procedural matters, like how the Vice President breaks a tie vote in the Senate. Anything in the Bill of Rights, which spells out limitations on the State, is regarded as an academic curiosity. Still, it’s a useful framework for discussion purposes.

JB: Indeed. When we left off last week, you were describing the changing character of America and explaining how gun violence is really a cultural problem, not a political one. Still, that hasn’t stopped prohibitionists from ignoring the lessons of history.

How Much Blood Would Leftists Be Willing To Shed To Disarm Patriotic Americans? by Kurt Schlichter

Should Americans who refuse to give up their guns be lined up and shot, thus proving why they wanted to hang on to their guns? From Kurt Schlichter at theburningplatform.com:

How Much Blood Would Leftists Be Willing To Shed To Disarm Patriotic Americans?

My question for Congressjerk Eric Swalwell is pretty simple: “How many Americans would you murder to achieve your goal of disarming us?”

It’s a fair question.

Swalwell is the MSNBC stalwart who recently wrote an op-ed advocating that the government confiscate the guns that make people like him wet themselves and imprison those of us who decline to surrender them. Millions of Americans own these basic tools of freedom, which the ignorant call “assault weapons,” and these loyal citizens keep and bear them to protect themselves, their families, their communities and their Constitution. But Rep. Swalwell would make these citizens felons, though these patriots are only a threat to criminals and aspiring tyrants.

Of course, he wants to make these patriots felons becausethey are a threat to criminals and aspiring tyrants. After all, that’s what leftist Democrats like him are.

Now, we know that some Americans would resist this kind of tyranny. People all over the world are resisting the elite’s commands. The Brits Brexited. The French are rioting because they don’t want to sacrifice their livelihoods on behalf of the global elites’ weird weather religion. And a decree that the Second Amendment is not a thing anymore would certainly provoke some serious pushback here.

Gun Owners Should Fear the Deep State, by James Bovard

The price of gun freedom, or some semblance of it, is eternal vigilance. From James Bovard at lewrockwell.com:

Unfortunately, the deep state could increasingly focus on gun owners in the coming years. The number of Americans who are violating firearm laws and regulations is increasing by tens or hundreds of thousands almost every year. This is not the result of a violent crime wave, but because politicians are continually criminalizing the possession of items that were previously legally owned.

Five years ago, the Connecticut legislature decreed that all owners of so-called “assault weapons” (which included any semi-automatic rifle with a pistol grip) must register their firearms. Perhaps as few as 15 percent of gun owners bothered to comply with the new law—meaning that Connecticut had up to 100,000 “criminals” living within its border. A 2016 Albany Times Union editorial lamented that 96 percent of roughly 1 million New Yorkers who owned so-called “assault weapons” failed to comply with registration requirements. California gun bans have been met with similar, massive non-compliance. Undeterred, local governments have begun jumping on the bandwagon. Deerfield, Ill., recently decreed a $1,000-a-day penalty on anyone who fails to surrender or disable their semi-automatic firearms with cosmetic features that frighten politicians and editorial writers.

While such laws were made by elected officials, it is unelected bureaucrats who are largely left in charge of enforcement, and that can cause big problems for gun owners. Just before press time for this issue, it was reported that a California farmer who was simply trying to meet the state’s ever-changing restrictive gun laws by registering his rifle is being charged with 12 felonies after the state DOJ determined his AR-15 to be “illegally modified.” That determination served as grounds for the agency to raid the man’s home and confiscate 12 firearms, 230 rounds of ammunition and two suppressors. He was later released on $150,000 bond, and at press time the case was still pending.

The Government Will Allow Cody Wilson’s Defense Distributed to Distribute Gun-Making Software, by Brian Doherty

Here’s a way to get around gun control: on the internet show people how to 3D print their own guns. From Brian Doherty at reason.com:

The Justice Department has reached a settlement with the Second Amendment Foundation and Defense Distributed, a collective that organizes, promotes, and distributes technologies to help home gun-makers. Under the agreement, which resolved a suit filed by the two groups in 2015, Americans may “access, discuss, use, reproduce or otherwise benefit from the technical data” that the government had previously ordered Defense Distributed to cease distributing.

Mark McDaniel/ReasonMark McDaniel/Reason

Before this, the feds had insisted that Defense Distributed’s gun-making files violate the munitions export rules embedded in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Defense Distributed’s suit claimed that this was was “censorship of Plaintiffs’ speech,” since the files in question consist of computer code and thus counted as expression. It also argued that “the ad hoc, informal and arbitrary manner in which that scheme is applied, violate the First, Second, and Fifth Amendments.” (The Second because the information in the computer files implicates weapons possession rights.)

That Wired story is mostly devoted to scaring the reader about what a world in which people are freer to use computer files to make weapons at home might mean. Wilson is open that as far as he’s concerned, he’s killed the cause of gun control by popularizing the home construction of weapons via computer instructions.

Wired also speculates that the settlement is some sign of a Trump administration bending over backwards to satisfy a Second Amendment constituency. Alan Gura, one of the lawyers on the plaintiffs’ side—and the attorney who won both 2008’s Heller case and 2010’s McDonald, two major Supreme Court victories for gun rights—disagrees, noting the administration’s record in other ongoing Second Amendment cases.

Enough Is Enough: If You Really Want to Save Lives, Take Aim at Government Violence, by John W. Whitehead

The government wrongly kills far more people every year than all the crazed loonies who open fire in public places put together. From John W. Whitehead at rutherford.org:

“It is often the case that police shootings, incidents where law enforcement officers pull the trigger on civilians, are left out of the conversation on gun violence. But a police officer shooting a civilian counts as gun violence. Every time an officer uses a gun against an innocent or an unarmed person contributes to the culture of gun violence in this country.”—Journalist Celisa Calacal

Enough is enough.

That was the refrain chanted over and over by the thousands of demonstrators who gathered to protest gun violence in America.

Enough is enough.

We need to do something about the violence that is plaguing our nation and our world.

Enough is enough.

The world would be a better place if there were fewer weapons that could kill, maim, destroy and debilitate.

Enough is enough.

On March 24, 2018, more than 200,000 young people took the time to march on Washington DC and other cities across the country to demand that their concerns about gun violence be heard.

More power to them.

I’m all for activism, especially if it motivates people who have been sitting silently on the sidelines for too long to get up and try to reclaim control over a runaway government.

Curiously, however, although these young activists were vocal in calling for gun control legislation that requires stricter background checks and limits the kinds of weapons being bought and sold by members of the public, they were remarkably silent about the gun violence perpetrated by their own government.

Enough is enough.

Why is no one taking aim at the U.S. government as the greatest purveyor of violence in American society and around the world?

The systemic violence being perpetrated by agents of the government has done more collective harm to the American people and our liberties than any single act of terror or mass shooting.

Violence has become our government’s calling card, starting at the top and trickling down, from the more than 80,000 SWAT team raids carried out every year on unsuspecting Americans by heavily armed, black-garbed commandos and the increasingly rapid militarization of local police forces across the country to the drone killings used to target insurgents.

Enough is enough.

The government even exports violence worldwide, with weapons being America’s most profitable export.
