It’s to ‘replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris’: Trump reacts to Pelosi’s 25th amendment commission with claim of a hidden plot, from RT

That the Pelosi ploy is to set up the succession procedure for Joe Biden rather than President Trump is certainly a plausible possibility. From rt.com:

It’s to ‘replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris’: Trump reacts to Pelosi’s 25th amendment commission with claim of a hidden plot
Soon after Rep. Nancy Pelosi introduced a commission that would allow Congress to remove a mentally unfit president, Donald Trump tweeted a claim its ulterior motive is to replace Democratic candidate Joe Biden with Kamala Harris.

“This is not about President Trump,” Speaker of the House Pelosi said when announcing the legislation on Friday. “He will face the judgment of the voters. But he shows the need for us to create a process for future presidents.”

Instead, the commission is needed to give “some comfort to people” about government stability, Pelosi (D-California) insisted.

Some, however, were not convinced the commission is meant as just an additional safety mechanism in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Pelosi’s assurance the legislation wasn’t about Trump has quickly sparked a theory that such a commission could be used to replace 77-year-old Joe Biden – whose own mental stability has been steadily questioned – should he win the election next month.

President Trump himself floated that theory on Twitter shortly after Pelosi’s announcement.

Pelosi’s Choice: Steal the Election or Be Destroyed, by Tom Luongo

Pelosi is between a rock and a hard place regarding another stimulus package, and whichever choice she makes, it will redound to Trump’s benefit. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.me:

I’ve learned a few things about politics by watching my goats over the years. Herd queens have to be beaten to step aside. They won’t give up status willingly.

I saw this first hand when a vicious challenge ended with a broken horn, humiliation and blood. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a tough old goat who is clearly making her last stand, facing the toughest fight of her political career.

Congress is at a crossroads over a stimulus package before the election. Pelosi has run out of good choices to force the Republicans into another bad deal, which is her trademark move.

Internal squabbling and strategic missteps has her charting a most dangerous path.

The House returns to session today facing an impasse over another stimulus bill which see both sides entrenched in their positions.

Just under two months until the election, however, the big question is, “Who has the leverage?”

Pelosi always fronts that she’s on top of things. She rules House Democrats with an iron fist and somehow always manages to win these confrontations.

But this time may be very different. Why?

‘Scram! It’s A Setup!’ Screams Pelosi Running Out Of Salon To Getaway Car

From The Babylon Bee:

Pelosi used shuttered San Francisco hair salon for blow-out, owner calls it ‘slap in the face’, by Brooke Singman

Rules are for the little people. From Brooke Singman at foxnews.com:

In security footage obtained by Fox News, and timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. Pacific Time, the California powerhouse is seen walking through eSalon in San Francisco with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose.

The stylist doing her hair can be seen following her wearing a black face mask.

Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and were only notified they could reopen on Sept. 1 for outdoor hairstyling services only.

Salon owner Erica Kious, in a phone interview with Fox News on Tuesday, shared details of Pelosi’s visit. Kious explained she has independent stylists working for her who rent chairs in her salon.

“One of the stylists who rents a chair from me contacted me Sunday night,” Kious said.

A screengrab of the text message she received from one of her stylists, and obtained by Fox News, said: “I’ll be there at 2:45 tomorrow. Pelosi assistant just messaged me to do her hair.”

Kious replied: “Pelosi?”

A text message from a hairstylist to Erica Kious, salon owner, that he would open the salon to provide House Speaker Nancy Pelosi services.

“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?” Kious told Fox News, while noting that she “can’t control” what her stylists do if they rent chairs from her, as “they’re not paying” at this time.

Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard.

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. (From the footage, it appears Pelosi had some kind of covering around her neck.)

“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right?” Kious said. “It is just disturbing.”

Asked for comment, Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill maintained that the speaker was following the rules as presented to her.

“The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment,” he said.

The Only Thing Morbidly Obese in D.C. is the Government, by Tom Luongo

The federal government could lose 80 percent of its body fat to the benefit of the productive people who are being squashed by it. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.me:

So House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to prove the observation as true that the “Left Can’t Meme” by going on TV to decry President Trump prophylactic use of hydroxychloroquine and zinc to fend off COVID-19 by calling him “morbidly obese.”

What’s so sad about this exchange isn’t the obviously awkward set up by Anderson Cooper, the unctuous virtue signaling by Pelosi or the pathetic pandering to her base it is that Pelosi gets everything exactly wrong.

If Trump is morbidly obese, which would be a co-factor in falling to COVID-19, wouldn’t it make sense then for him TO be taking whatever precautions he and his doctors deemed helpful?

I guess Nancy would know all about morbid obesity because that’s the only kind of legislation she’s capable of sponsoring.

Her latest legislative fiasco was a new $3 trillion stimulus bill with precious little ‘stimulus’ in it whic was rejected by members of her own caucus (because truly who at this point could be stimulated to anything other than nausea by Pelosi).

Did Pelosi Just Tear Up the Fabric of the U.S.? by Tom Luongo

Is the Democratic party doomed? From Tom Luongo at strategic-culture.org:

The annual theatre surrounding the President’s State of the Union address took another nasty turn in 2020. In times past with Nancy Pelosi (D-Shadow Gov’t) as Speaker of the House we’ve seen her grandstand on sending out the invitation.

She’s always there to take the spotlight onto herself, make herself the story to detract from President Trump. This year she didn’t disappoint against the backdrop of the greatest political defeat of her career.

Bookending Trump’s self-congratulatory speech where he took credit for a stock market he has nothing to do with and celebrating the starving and terrorizing the people of Iran, Pelosi first made a big show of Trump refusing to shake her hand and then tore up her copy of his speech after making sure the cameras were on her.

IMPEACHMENT WEEK: It’s OK To Be Bored; Not OK To Be White, by Ann Coulter

Musings on the impeachment farce and race from Ann Coulter at anncoulter.com:

It’s weeks like this that make me wish I had a job and didn’t have to stay home watching TV. With the impeachment nonsense dragging into its 56th month, I have some random observations, only a few of which have anything to do with impeachment.

1) As tempting as it must be for Republican senators to make a headlong rush to the TV cameras at the conclusion of the day’s festivities, they would be well advised to say this, and only this, each night:

Here are the vital issues the United States Congress did NOT address today:

— Repairing our highways, bridges and border with a major infrastructure bill.

— Ensuring that all Americans can get jobs by cutting off the deluge of cheap foreign labor.

— Providing the public with quality services by not inviting the rest of the world to come partake of government benefits meant for Americans.

— Fixing the disaster of Obamacare, so that all Americans have access to quality health care (by activating the same mechanisms that give them quality food, housing and iPhones: the free market, contract law and occasional government subsidies).

— Passing a bill to defund all the pointless, expensive military deployments around the globe, so we can FINALLY address the hellfires in our own hemisphere.

— Ending the opioid crisis by declaring war on Mexican drug cartels and building a wall.

How’s This Working, Nancy? by Jim Kunstler

Too bad a bunch of people aren’t going to be pulled in front of the Senate impeachment trial—if it happens—to testify. From Jim Kunstler at kunstler.org:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been clinging to her bill of impeachment for one reason: hoping that a judge will rule to release all the evidence and depositions collected by Robert Mueller’s investigation. What’s wrong with that? Mr. Mueller failed to find any prosecutable crimes. That was the sum and substance of his two-year-long exercise in bad faith. In which case, all that material is officially and legally evidence of nothing. Impeachment is a political act and sealed evidence of nothing can’t be released to one set of political actors in a political quarrel for use as a political weapon. More to the point — and to Mrs. Pelosi’s real motive here — the material is not for impeachment but rather to use the Mueller dossier as political opposition “research” for the coming election.

There is no question that from the start of his investigation, Special Counsel Robert Mueller knew that the case was opened under false pretenses, since his very close friend, the erstwhile FBI director James Comey, also knew by early 2017 that all the predicating material was substantially false, and that it was procured by Mrs. Clinton. To carry it beyond that was a scheme by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to issue a series of “scoping” letters that increasingly widened Mr. Mueller’s purview to go fishing for crimes in every area and every chronological phase of the president’s life. That smacks of what’s known in Anglo-American law as attainder by process: first declaring someone an outlaw, and only afterward seeking a crime to justify it. Under our system, first crimes are established, then persons liable for them are brought to court to answer charges.

Trump’s Letter to Pelosi, by Paul Craig Roberts

A letter from the president to the speaker of the house concerning the house’s impeachment effort is newsworthy, even historic. It’s breathtaking how little coverage President Trump’s letter has received from the mainstream media. From Paul Craig Roberts at paulcraigroberts.com:

The Saker has posted President Trump’s letter to Nancy Pelosi with his commentary https://thesaker.is/very-important-letter-from-donald-trump-to-nancy-pelosi-must-read/ . I agree with Saker that Trump’s impression of the good condition of the US economy is largely a mirage produced by official statistics that have long been unreliable. The bad data fed to Trump is not his fault. I also agree with The Saker that the truth in Trump’s letter is its characterization of the impeachment.

The Saker asks if the presstitutes published Trump’s letter. The New York Times did but only by taking exception to every line of it. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/12/17/us/politics/trump-pelosi-letter.html

The Hill did not post the letter. Presstitute Bob Lehrman kept the content from The Hill’s readers and dismissed Trump’s letter “as a rich compendium of fallacies” that he will assign to his students so that as future speechwriters they will avoid repeating them. https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/475532-trumps-letter-to-pelosi-not-unhinged-but-worse-from-a-speechwriters

The Washington Post presstitute Jennifer Rubin finds Trump’s letter “bizarre and frightening.” But she doesn’t provide a copy that would let readers judge for themselves. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/12/17/so-many-hysterical-men/

AP doesn’t post the letter but “fact checks” “Trump’s distorted letter to Dems and History.” https://apnews.com/8b63593dda6377d54ce7e442821751cc

CNN presstitute Paul Begala doesn’t provide Trump’s letter which he characterizes as “evil.” https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/18/opinions/trumps-letter-to-pelosi-begala/index.html

Presstitute EJ Montini declares in USA Today that Trump’s letter is “deranged” and “repeats any number of falsehoods and delusions.” Again no letter. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2019/12/18/donald-trump-nancy-pelosi-letter-deranged-impeachment-column/2685811001/

NBC News is the only “mainstream media” organization that made the letter available. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/read-full-letter-trump-sent-house-speaker-nancy-pelosi-eve-n1103476

None of the presstitutes fact checked the impeachment charges.

As the presstitute media has again made completely clear, it is focused on controlling our minds by substituting its opinion for the facts.
