The Attempt to Overthrow America, by Guy Millière

Radical leftists are hell-bent not just on rioting, looting, vandalism, arson, and violence, but on overthrowing the present political system. From Guy Millière at gatestoneinstitute.org:

  • The situation had become “worrying,” in fact, even before the results of the 2016 presidential election were known. As we now can read in the Department of Justice report by Michael Horowitz, the senior levels of government during the Obama Administration were colluding to prevent President Trump from winning the election, and then, after it, to frame him in an attempted coup d’état.
  • Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place.
  • “I thought things were partisan and tough 30 years ago — nothing compared to today. Things have fundamentally changed… [the left] represents a revolutionary Rousseauian party that believes in tearing down the system… They’re interested in complete political victory. They’re not interested in compromise. They’re not interested in dialectic, exchange of views… It’s a substitute religion. They view their political opponents… as evil because we stand in the way of their progressive utopia that they’re trying to reach…” — US Attorney General William Barr, Fox News, August 9, 2020.
  • “Today our nation is facing the most serious threat to establish such a tyranny in our entire history.” — David Horowitz, Frontpage Mag, August 10, 2020.
The wave of riots that has followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25 appears to have nothing to do with Floyd’s death and everything to do with groups seeking to overthrow America. Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place. The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020 might appear, looking back, as a pretext for mayhem. His reported killing by a white police officer was immediately followed by a wave of riots during which neighborhoods in several major cities were devastated. Stores were looted, buildings were burned and people were murdered as mayors and other local public officials chose to let the rioters run wild, whip up racial conflict and protect the criminals rather than the citizens being brutalized. The riots quickly appeared to have nothing to do with Floyd’s death and everything to do with groups seeking to overthrow America.

Have The Kenosha Riots Given The Right Our Rosa Parks? by John Wilder

Kyle Rittenhouse defended himself and will serve as an inspiration for a lot of people to defend themselves against random and rampant violence. From John Wilder at wilderwealthywise.com:

“We’re all Sons of Liberty here.” – John Adams (2008)

TREAD

What was it that Jefferson said about the Tree of Liberty?

Friday posts originally were about health related topics.  I’ve deviated away from “health” as a topic to focus on what might be more important now – mental health, specifically attitude.  There’s a reason for this.

The goal of the Left, as amply illustrated by Yuri Bezmenov (Yuri Bezmenov’s 1980’s Prediction of 2020), is to demoralize the West.  Demoralization’s goal is to destroy the moral outlook of our nation.  The goal of Demoralization is to destroy your moral outlook.

If you’re a Christian, the goal of the Enemy (you know who when I write the big E) is to make you feel despair.  If you’re not a Christian, and still on the Right, the goal of the enemy is the same – to make you feel despair.  To make you feel you cannot win.  To make you feel that there is nothing you can do to stop the inevitable march of history.  The Enemy (or enemy) wants you to believe that the victory of the Left is inevitable.

That’s why my Friday posts are, at least recently, focused on the opposite.  The victory of the Right is inevitable.  And that’s what scares the Left more than anything.  They will do absolutely everything they can to make you feel powerless.  They will do whatever they can to make you feel that nothing you do matters.  You can’t fight them.

That’s smart.  But a 17 year old in Kenosha proved it was a lie, and may very well be the Rosa Parks of the Right.

The Democrat Party’s Riots, by Matthew J. Peterson

The Democrats, as the article says, “own” the riots. From Matthew J. Peterson at americanmind.org:

They’re getting what they asked for—good and hard.

CNN anchors Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon have the collective brain capacity of rising third graders. OK, fair point—there’s no reason for me to insult our children like that. But the one upside of the tumbleweeds blowing through their minds is that sometimes what the Left is really thinking accidentally rolls out of their mouths.

Don Lemon recently called on Joe Biden to make a speech addressing the riots and explaining how when it comes to reforming the police, he and Kamala Harris “will take care of this problem” after being elected. “But guess what: the rioting has to stop.” Lemon then revealed the problem: “Chris, as you know, and I know, it’s showing up in the polling, it’s showing up in focus groups. It is the only thing—it is the only thing right now that is sticking.”

Think about what he’s really saying here. “Rioting is fine—but only if it helps us win.” There are plenty of signals that establishment Democrats realize they need to pivot toward the pretense of responsible citizenship and denounce the violent. Now that the events in Kenosha and the mob violence surrounding them are becoming the final straw for potential swing voters, suddenly it’s all “gone too far” and we must consider “muh municipal law and order.”

These usefully idiotic clowns and the elites they serve still slap “mostly peaceful” chyrons on their coverage of American neighborhoods going up in flames. Some still think the mob will help them win. But the riots can’t just be put back in the bottle—not because you morons finally blink. Democrats helped open Pandora’s Box this summer. Deep-rooted fear and anger have flown out. There is now no telling where they will roost politically.

The Duration of What? by James Howard Kunstler

Democrats and their media are waking up to the fact that uncontrolled and unaddressed riots in Democrat cities aren’t playing too well with a lot of people who vote. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

It’s nice to see The New York Times acting like a whipped dog after hounding the nation year upon year through thickets of falsehood and deceit to put over their hustle of systemic racism.  “…some worry that local Democratic leaders are failing…” Really? Do you think that videos showing flash mobs of black looters rampaging through a Target Store, busting up cars on a dealer’s lot with baseball bats, and setting fire to a furniture shop might tell a different story? And that everybody still sane in this land knows that Democratic mayors and governors have been standing back, allowing it to happen?

The Democratic Party ought to worry that the voters are onto their game, because it looks like they’ve completely blown it only a week after anointing the most decrepit old pol in their donkey stable to run for president. Speaking of whom, Joe Biden finally crawled out from under a rock yesterday to issue a few timid peeps about the rioting, looting, and arson that went on in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for three nights running — and for three months in other cities around the country — during which he said nothing to halt the trashing of Kenosha’s downtown.

The different story that events themselves are telling voters is that young Americans act like savages when given the green light by politicians who refuse to enforce the laws against public violence, theft, and the destruction of property, and who justify all that with a fabricated narrative about systemic racism. Since Memorial Day, the Democratic Party has used the Black Lives Matter and Antifa orgs as shock troops in a stupid campaign aimed at abolishing the police. Well, now America can see exactly what happens when the police get functionally disabled by mayors and governors who order them to not do their primary job: maintaining basic civic order. The voters have seen it in Kenosha, Chicago, New York, Denver, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon.

Is Biden Ceding the Law-and-Order Issue? by Patrick Buchanan

The short answer is that Biden has already ceded the law-and-order issue. From Patrick Buchanan at buchanan.org:

Is Joe Biden forfeiting the law-and-order issue to Donald Trump?

So it would seem.

“Republicans Use Law and Order As Rallying Cry” was the top headline on The New York Times’ front-page story on Vice President Mike Pence’s acceptance speech at Fort McHenry Wednesday night.

The Wall Street Journal Page One headline echoed the Times: “Pence Accepts Nomination as GOP Puts Focus on Police.”

In his address, Pence charged Biden with sinning by silence in failing to denounce the rioters, looters and arsonists who have for months attacked police and pillaged Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Kenosha and other cities.

Said Pence: “Last week, Joe Biden did not say one word about the violence and chaos engulfing cities across this country.

“Joe Biden says that America is systemically racist, and that law enforcement in America has… ‘implicit bias against minorities.’ When asked whether he’d support cutting funding to law enforcement, Joe Biden replied, ‘Yes, absolutely.’

“Joe Biden would double down on the very policies that are leading to unsafe streets and violence in American cities. … You will not be safe in Joe Biden’s America.”

Now, it is inexact to say Biden would “defund” the police. When the big agenda item of Black Lives Matter was first raised, Biden rushed to say he would reform the police and increase spending.

And, late Wednesday afternoon, probably after seeing an advance of Pence’s speech, Biden tweeted from Delaware about the chaos that has engulfed Kenosha since Sunday night’s police shooting of Jacob Blake:

“Needless violence won’t heal us. We need to end the violence.”

In Lieu Of Convention, Republicans Just Broadcast Footage Of Riots In Democrat-Controlled Cities For 3 Hours

From The Babylon Bee:

CHARLOTTE, NC—Republicans had a big, festive convention planned for this week but canceled it at the last minute, opting instead to broadcast footage of riots in Democrat-controlled cities for nearly 3 hours.

Republicans simply aired videos of burning homes and businesses and leftists throwing bricks through windows on Democrats’ watch for hours on end.

“It’s a far more effective strategy than if we were to get up there, open our mouths, and talk,” said an RNC spokesperson. “This is far more effective than any ad campaign or convention programming we could have come up with. We just let people see what happens when Democrats decide to let their followers run amok blowing stuff up and screaming at people.”

Democrats, for their part, admit they have been outplayed, and say they wish they would have just broadcast footage of Trump talking for four days.

Watch Out Hoodlums. Victims May Start Fighting Back Much More. By Adam Dick

Back any animal into a corner, including humans, and they’ll fight back. From Adam Dick at ronpaulinstitute.org:

undefined

There are hoodlums across America looting and burning down businesses, banging on people’s vehicles while ordering drivers rudely where to drive, bearing down on people to intimidate them into expressing support for this or that cause, and committing other crimes of violence and property destruction.

Many of these hoodlums say things about black lives mattering, white supremacy or systemic racism being bad, reparations for slavery being needed, or some other message related to politics or race. Other hoodlums do not say such things but take their actions while in a group of people, many of whom are saying such.

All that talk concerning politics and race is beside the point. The people taking these actions are hoodlums.

The hoodlums have tended to have the upper hand so far. Victims have been surprised and unprepared to be victims. Victims have figured the acts of violence and property destruction will soon fade away. Victims have thought police would protect them.

Well, the fade away is not happening, and police have often failed to protect victims from harm.

More and more, potential future victims are preparing for confrontation by the hoodlums.

Some of these hoodlums, and the people with them, like to complain about police brutality. They may soon be on the receiving end of brutality, but not from cops.

After Kenosha — Divided We Stand, by Tom Luongo

We’re close to the point where riot and intimidation victims start fighting back. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.me:

t would always come to this. At some point there would be a reckoning for BLM and Antifa.

The shootings in Kenosha, WI are a dividing line for America.

This is the moment where normal people finally said, “Enough. There will be consequences. “

This is a war between radicalized lunatics bathed in unquenchable envy and self-pity and those who refuse to act like victims.

But they are victims.

All of us are. On both sides of the divide.

We are victims of a vicious program to divide and conquer the U.S. through a culture war designed to dehumanize each other.

We fight among ourselves over scraps while the people who manipulated events to this point walk away laughing at the destruction.

They want the violence. They love it. They relish it. It brings them power and prestige.

To maintain their power, as the systems they’ve built fail, they have set us against each other: paid looters and rioters to become cannon fodder in their war against common decency, culture, communities and family.

All for control over the levers of political power.

In 2016 we tried to tell them, peacefully, enough was enough. We elected Donald Trump, of all people, to be our standard bearer. We did it the way we were taught was the right way, through the ballot box.

It was supposed to be the hallmark of our enlightenment, the peaceful transfer of power. It’s been anything but.

For four years we’ve endured a non-stop parade of political venality unmatched in modern history. The quest for regaining the power of the White House brooked no holds being barred.

And if Trump wouldn’t go willingly and we didn’t learn our lesson, then they would activate every cell to flood the streets with disaffected and nihilistic youths to loot and rob; using their outrageous sense of entitlement as fuel for their rage against a machine they are, unwittingly, the main cogs of.

But having watched one young man clear in his purpose to defend his town from roving thugs in Kenosha be forced (under clear conditions of self-defense) to kill two people is a dividing line we’re not coming back from.

Literal Battle Zones Are Erupting All Over America (WARNING: VIOLENT CONTENT), by Daisy Luther

It’s not just the big cities that are erupting. From Daisy Luther at theorganicprepper.com:

Part of the “new normal” in America seems to be battle zones erupting across the nation. I’m not just talking about protests, but full-on sieges that may last for days, weeks, or even months. Some of these began due to acts of police brutality, while others have taken on lives of their own with wholesale looting and violence.

The United States of America we see today is incredibly different from the one we saw at the beginning of the year. We’ve been wracked by a pandemic, a subsequent economic catastrophe, and massive, widespread civil unrest.

Let’s take a look at these pockets of violent behavior. (WARNING: This article contains videos with violent content.)

Kenosha, Wisconsin

Yesterday, police officers shot Jacob Blake, a Black man, in the back as he tried to enter the vehicle where his children were. Blake is in stable condition and expected to live, but the shocking video has spread virally across social media. You can see the cell phone footage below. (Violence Warning)

Kenosha, a city in Wisconsin of about one hundred thousand people, quickly erupted in protest of the shooting. (Never think these things only happen in large cities – here is an inside look at the Ferguson riots of 2014.)

The Thin Veneer of American Civilization, by Victor Davis Hanson

A number of American cities are in just a few month’s time becoming barbaric hell holes. From Victor Davis Hanson at nationalreview.com:

In a flash, it’s been blown away, revealing the barbarism beneath. The seeds of destruction were planted long ago.

NRPLUS MEMBER ARTICLE N ine months ago, New York was a thriving, though poorly governed, metropolis. It was coasting on the more or less good governance of its prior two mayors and on its ancestral role as the global nexus of finance and capital.

The city is now something out of a postmodern apocalyptic movie, reeling from the effects of a neutron bomb. Ditto in varying degrees Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco — the anti-broken-windows metropolises of America. Walking in San Francisco today reminds me of visiting Old Cairo in 1973, although the latter lacked the needles and feces of the former.

At the present increasing rate of police defunding, homeless encampments, the emptying of jails and prisons, the green-lighting of rioting and vandalism, the flight of the wealthy, the revolutionary change to Skype/Zoom tele-working, and the exodus of upper-middle-class liberal families to safe houses in the New York and New England countryside, once beautiful New York City is in danger of becoming the nation’s aneurysm. That is, after the “recovery,” it and other blue cities may be seen as permanent weak veins and arteries prone to sudden fatal hemorrhaging that could implode at any moment, and thus may become metaphorically tied off, as the country reroutes around them.

In the old days of 2019, tolerant Americans more or less accepted that finely crafted statues of sometimes less than inspiring and formerly illustrious (to some) heroes were part of our history. For example, integral to California’s rich historical culture were its missions, acknowledged by Father Serra’s numerous eponymous streets and statues. No one in his right mind believed that renaming a mall named Serra at Stanford University would help mitigate the weekend murder rate in Chicago or the endemic poverty of illegal aliens in my own neighborhood.
