Constant Government Lies Spark Resistance Movements, by J.B. Shurk

Call it the good side of government lies. From J.B. Shurk at americanthinker.com:

In the digital public square of social media, I have seen a noticeable uptick in biting memes and political cartoons calling out the U.S. government for its constant lies.  In one example, a cyber-billboard screams, “I don’t know if I’m being distracted by vaccine deaths so I don’t notice inflation, or if inflation is the distraction to Ukraine money laundering, or if Ukraine is a distraction for rampant pedophilia, or if pedos are distracting me from election fraud.”  Clearly, that was produced before the great balloon scare gripped the nation.  Ah, but no sooner had China Joe proven once again how unsecured our open borders are by allowing a Chinese surveillance balloon to float above the continent’s nuclear silos than I ran into a cartoon divided into four squares in which the same man was being hypnotized — first by a dangling coronavirus in 2020, then an mRNA “vaccine” shot in 2021, then a Ukraine flag in 2022, and finally an extraterrestrial spaceship in 2023.  Well done, meme masters and internet freethinkers!  Actually, corrupt Senator Harry Reid had started to play the UFO card a decade ago, so perhaps this cycle is just starting up once again.  Uff da.

If you want to know what’s really going on within a society, you don’t run to the national newspapers or interview people with titles.  You get out and talk to the people nobody else would dare seek.  In the Internet Age, you look at what’s being said by ordinary people on unremarkable chatrooms whose opinions are routinely overlooked.  What I see today is a bubbling movement of frustration and anger that is as acidic as anything I’ve come across.  Americans are furiously mad — but noticeably not in despair.  People are not throwing their hands up in desperation; they’re venting their rage at a corrupt system of government that has gotten out of control.  They’re not hiding in the shadows, whispering in hushed tones; they’re screaming at the top of their lungs, just daring the Big Tech censors to blot out their (un)free speech.  They’re not allowing the State’s “politically correct” priests and purveyors of officially sanctioned disinformation to shame them into silence; they’re laughing in the spin doctors’ faces and calling out the government’s mass propaganda for what it is.  That’s refreshing!

Anti-War Voices Accuse Super Bowl of ‘Hijacking the Pat Tillman Story’, by Brett Wilkins

The NFL may be the warfare state’s biggest cheerleader. From Brett Wilkins at commondreams.org:

One journalist reminded readers that the NFL star and Army Ranger “called the Iraq invasion and occupation ‘fucking illegal’ and was killed by friendly fire in an incident the military covered up and tried to hide from his family.”

Advocates of peace, truth, and basic human decency on Sunday excoriated the National Football League’s “whitewashing” of former Arizona Cardinal and Army Ranger Pat Tillman’s death in Afghanistan by so-called “friendly fire” and the military’s subsequent cover-up—critical details omitted from a glowingly patriotic Super Bowl salute.

As a group of four Pat Tillman Foundation scholars chosen as honorary coin-toss captains at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona were introduced via a video segment narrated by actor Kevin Costner, viewers were told how Tillman “gave up his NFL career to join the Army Rangers and ultimately lost his life in the line of duty.”

The video did not say how Tillman died, what he thought about the Iraq war, or how the military lied to his family and the nation about his death. This outraged many viewers.

“Obviously the army killing Pat Tillman and covering it up afterwards is the worst thing the U.S. military did to him, but the years they’ve spent rolling out his portrait backed by some inspirational music as a recruiting tool is a surprisingly close second,” tweeted progressive writer Jay Willis.

So many people recently ‘died suddenly’ – What’s going on? By Brian C. Joondeph, M.D.

The alternative media knows what’s going on. The only question is when will the mainstream media acknowledge that Covid vaccines are behind sudden deaths. From Brian C. Joondeph, M.D., at americanthinker.com:

A new and increasingly popular Twitter hashtag is “#diedsuddenly” in response to a surge of sudden unexplained deaths among mostly young and healthy individuals, including athletes, occurring over the past 2 years. Here are but a few recent news stories.

In Australia, “Fit and healthy 21 year old son dies suddenly in his sleep.” From the University of Arizona, “A recent member of Arizona’s men’s swim team has unexpectedly passed away.” In Detroit, a high school basketball player suffered a cardiac arrest during a basketball game. While they restarted his heart, he hasn’t woken up.

Or this athlete in his early 20’s, “A former Florida Gators offensive lineman died suddenly on Thursday night according to multiple media reports.” From the US Army, “A soldier stationed at Fort Stewart died Tuesday while traveling to California for a training exercise.” Is this some type of black magic? Not likely, “America’s Got Talent magician suddenly dies at just 52.”

Let’s not forget Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin going into cardiac arrest after an unremarkable tackle during a January NFL game. These are anecdotes, and while compelling are not the same as collected data.

Several brave researchers recorded these “sudden” and “unexplained” deaths, as they are described in the media. Here is one report, “An investigation of official statistics has found that the number of athletes who have died since the beginning of 2021 has risen exponentially compared to the yearly number of deaths of athletes officially recorded between 1966 and 2004.”

What Can We Learn From The Biggest Lies People Believed About Covid? By Brandon Smith

We learned that a lot of people will swallow damn near anything if it comes from the government. From Brandon Smith at alt-market.com:

At the very beginning of the covid event in late 2019 to early 2020 the public had little to no information on the details surrounding the outbreak in Wuhan, China and what kind of virus the world might be facing. The virus was coming to western shores and so the public had to prepare for the potential consequences.

People were supposedly dying en masse in China, but the communist country refused to give accurate data on the situation and to this day their reported covid death rate is highly suspect. After a period of uncertainty, suddenly, there was a rush by the media and by government officials to predict the worst case scenario. The WHO was calling for a SARS-like death rate of at least 3% or more – That would mean a global tally of over 240 million+ fatalities.

For those of us in the Liberty Movement, this was seen as the “big one”; the kind of event that crashes economies and leads to an authoritarian society. It almost became that…

From the very beginning certain narratives being promoted in the mainstream did not meet logical or scientific standards. It became obvious that fear was the goal, rather than safety. But in order to create fear, establishment elites and governments had to LIE BIG. Here are some of the biggest lies told to the public about the pandemic:

“Objects” Aloft, by William Gudal

SLL contributor William Gudal surmises that the objects were for target practice. From Gudal:

Like thoroughbred racehorses at the starting line, bursting with excitement and anxious for the clang of the opening gates, the U.S. Military and its vast supporting empire must be foaming at the mouth, frustrated at not yet being allowed to sink its fangs into  rich Ukranian targets. A restless military is a dangerous military and inclined to stir up mischief. Better to keep them occupied.

I have a theory about the four “objects” that have been shot down by F-22 fighters over the United States and Canada during the past seven days. Somewhere in the northern Pacific Ocean a ship is launching these objects in order to provide target practice for otherwise idle fighter pilots. Many objectives are achieved. The boredom of non-combat military life is eased somewhat. The skills of the pilots, the flight crews and the damage assessment teams are sharpened. With America’s spiritual Polestar, the “Super” Bowl, about to sink over the horizon, this shooting gallery saga nicely distracts from a whole host of societal ills, including inflated price horrors encountered on a trip to the supermarket.

I think Voltaire would have loved my scenario. In the current Mad Hatter’s Tea Party world I sometimes try to look at today’s wackiness through the lens of Voltaire’s vision. Alive today he would be overwhelmed with the unlimited choice of absurd subject matter. Voltaire was a giant intellect who had the courage and the ability to see through nonsense perhaps better than anyone in history.

Whatever the outcome of Balloongate, you can be assured that any actual facts doled out to the public will be washed and rinsed and not capable of being authenticated. We have this, just move along now.

The Pain of Listening To Twitter Censorship Testimony, by Dr. Naomi Wolf

It’s difficult listening to the second rate hacks who tried to destroy your work and your reputation trying to justify themselves. From Dr. Naomi Wolf at naomiwolf.substack.com:

Nasty, Ill-Dressed Technocrats, I Want My Life Back

As I type, I am undergoing the excruciating experience of listening to C-SPAN, which is airing “Twitter’s Response to Hunter Biden Laptop Story.” The larger issue is: who censored Twitter, and why, and whether there was illegal collusion (there was) between Twitter and the US government.

So I finally am seeing them — up close, in real life, in person. I am finally able to look at the faces of the heretofore faceless technocrats who took it upon themselves to try to destroy my life and ruin my name.

I am witnessing, as I see them seated primly in rows in a Congressional hearing room, the very faces — the somber, ill-cut but costly blue suits, the bad wire-rimmed glasses, the judgmental expressions — of those who were personally responsible for the misery, trauma, reputational damage, shattered dreams, and loss of income, in my one life, over the course of last two and a half years.

Here at last are the very people who took it upon themselves, or who oversaw their colleagues, to single me out, to collude with the White House, and with Carol Crawford of CDC, and with DHS perhaps, to suspend me — following an accurate tweet of mine that warned women of menstrual harms following mRNA injection.

The positions of these people, the views of them — their self-regarding, self-satisfied, smug certainty that their rightness is the only rightness that could ever be — do not remind me of the testimony or views of actual Americans. They remind me rather of the affect of functionaries in a Stalinist show trial, or of the nameless bureaucrats in Kafka’s The Trial.

Would a ‘Climate Emergency’ Open the Same Door to Authoritarian Governance as the ‘COVID Emergency?’ by W. Aaron Vandiver

They’re already planning to declare a climate emergency, and you can bet we’ll get all the same horseshit that we did Covid. From W. Aaron Vandiver at childrenshealthdefense.org:

There are better ways to address climate change than insisting federal lawmakers declare a national “climate emergency” — including building a left-right coalition that can work together to build resilience to the environmental challenges of the 21st century while preserving democracy, civil liberties and human rights.

In February 2022, 1,140 organizations sent President Biden a letter urging him to declare a “climate emergency.” A group of U.S. Senators did the same, in October 2022, and a House bill, introduced in 2021, also called on the president to “declare a national climate emergency under the National Emergencies Act.”

Biden has considered declaring such an emergency, but so far he has declined, to the disappointment of many progressives.

The United Nations (U.N.) has urged all countries to declare a climate emergency. The state of Hawaii and 170 local U.S. jurisdictions have declared some version of one. So have 38 countries, including European Union members and the U.K., and local jurisdictions around the world, together encompassing about 13% of the world’s population.

Hillary Clinton was reportedly prepared to declare a “climate emergency” if she had won the 2016 election.

A “climate emergency” is in the zeitgeist. Those words were surely uttered by the billionaires, technocrats and corporate CEOs attending the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos.

But what does it actually mean for the president of the U.S. to officially declare a “climate emergency”?

Most people don’t realize that under U.S. law, a national emergency declaration triggers a set of emergency powers that allows a president to act without the need for further legislation.

Quake Delivers Earth-Shattering Blow to U.S.-Led NATO Hypocrisy, by Finian Cunningham

Billions for the corrupt Ukraine regime, nothing for Turkey or Syria, and no relief for Syria from U.S. sanctions. And we wonder why most of the world despises the U.S. government. From Finian Cunningham at strategic-culture.org:

When a real-world emergency happens, all of NATO’s pious and self-regarding talk implodes in a pile of dust.

A 7.8. magnitude earthquake hits Europe’s southern neighbors Türkiye and Syria – and the NATO alliance does next to nothing in response. What sort of security organization is that?

Rather, it seems to be too busy trying to start World War Three by undertaking an unprecedented mobilization of resources and equipment in Ukraine against Russia. A mobilization that is completely unwarranted and indeed is an audacious gaslighting charade played on the Western public.

The United States-led North Atlantic Treaty Organization has an annual military budget that exceeds well over $1 trillion spread over its 30 member nations. One of those members is Türkiye.

What sort of priorities has NATO? Not rhetorical, theoretical, or presumed priorities, but real-life practical, demonstrable priorities.

On Monday morning this week, southern Türkiye and neighboring Syria were devastated by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and multiple huge aftershocks. The death toll in both countries has risen to over 11,000 with tens of thousands injured and made homeless. With thousands of missing people trapped under rubble, the casualties will increase over the coming days.

Many countries were quick to send emergency rescue teams to the zone of havoc that straddles the border between Türkiye and Syria. Russia and Iran – experienced in such natural disasters – were among the first neighboring countries to send in aid and salvage crews.

By contrast, the apathetic response from the U.S.-led NATO bloc has been abject. What’s even more incredible, Türkiye is a long-time prominent member of the organization and is considered a vital partner for the European Union.

a simple proposal to restore confidence in public data, by el gato malo

Nobody is going to trust anybody who says: trust us, but we won’t show you the data on which we base our decisions and edicts. From el gato malo at boriquagato.substack.com:

if you want trust, let us verify

we inhabit an astonishing time when ever more of our lives and livelihoods are affected by increasingly opaque and unaccountable agencies and systems of technocracy.

they collect the data upon which we rely to render opinions.

they analyze that data to tell us what it means.

and decisions of expansive reach and great moment are made based upon it.

and yet it’s nearly all a black box.

we only see what they want us to see and time after time, they get caught fiddling the figures, making stuff up, using bad math and worse analyses, and cancelling or adulterating every data series that goes against their chosen narratives and pathways.

then they wonder why we won’t trust them.

they empanel blue ribbon committees on “misinformation” as though the problem is just that they are not appealing to enough authority, stifling enough speech, and censoring enough people.

Image

these “misinformation” summits are the death rattles of an embattled clerisy desperate to reclaim its shattered credibility.

but it does not work like that.

doubling and tripling down on the selfsame shenanigans that got us here is not going to work.

everyone has seen this movie before.

they know the ending.

The Chinese Spy Balloon Hoax, by Paul Craig Roberts

Now they’re really reaching for hoaxes to keep us off balance. From Paul Craig Roberts at paulcraigroberts.org:

After the Russiagate Hoax, the Covid hoax, and the Insurrection hoax, We now Have the Chinese Spy Balloon Hoax

According to Washington and the whore media, China sent a balloon that the Pentagon said “could” be loaded with explosives to spy on America.  A top general said that similar balloons have entered US airspace undetected before.  The balloon is huge–200 feet tall weighing in excess of a couple thousand pounds.  So if such a large object can enter our airspace undetected, does this mean far smaller ICBMs can also?  https://www.rt.com/news/571066-chinese-spy-balloon-explosives/

Do understand that what is going on here is the purposeful creation of an incident for propaganda purposes to stoke up more animosity against China, and to spend more money on defense in Asia.  We don’t have a Malaysian airliner to blame on China, but we do have a weather balloon.

After receiving a brainwashing by a Pentagon briefing, Rep. Jim Himes (D,Conn.) says that US officials will “learn a lot” from the pieces of the “Chinese spy craft” that was shot down. https://www.theepochtimes.com/well-learn-a-lot-from-downed-chinese-spy-craft-top-intelligence-democrat_5037236.html?utm_source=Goodevening&src_src=Goodevening&utm_campaign=gv-2023-02-06&src_cmp=gv-2023-02-06&utm_medium=email&est=Y7JND2vR9qWS6bv3mTwO7wQqxu9qkY7BJfSUntz5oDIcE3MmqSPUhA%3D%3D

Two other dumbshit House members, one a Republican, one a Democrat declare the blown-off-course weather balloon “a violation of American sovereignty.”  https://www.theepochtimes.com/well-learn-a-lot-from-downed-chinese-spy-craft-top-intelligence-democrat_5037236.html?utm_source=Goodevening&src_src=Goodevening&utm_campaign=gv-2023-02-06&src_cmp=gv-2023-02-06&utm_medium=email&est=Y7JND2vR9qWS6bv3mTwO7wQqxu9qkY7BJfSUntz5oDIcE3MmqSPUhA%3D%3D
