NYT Reveals How Ashley Biden’s ‘Inappropriate Showers With Joe’ Diary Made Its Way To Project Veritas, by Tyler Durden

Ashley Biden’s diary is a lot more substantiated than the Steele Dossier, but it’s getting about 1/1000 the attention that bogus document got. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

Ashley Biden’s diary – over which Project Veritas was raided by the FBI last month – made its way to the whistleblower organization after Ms. Biden left her belongings at a friend’s house, where she was staying after completing a rehab program for addiction, according to the New York Times.

via National File

In the spring of 2020, as Joe Biden was in the process of clinching the Democratic presidential nomination, Ashley was living in Delray Beach, FL with said friend “who had rented a two-bedroom house lined with palm trees with a large swimming pool and wraparound driveway,” according to people familiar with the matter.

In June, however, Ashley visited the Philadelphia area as Joe’s campaign was ramping up.

“She decided to leave some of her belongings behind, including a duffel bag and another bag,” according to the report.

Enter Aimee

Several weeks after Ashley left the Delray house, the friend who hosted her invited an ex-girlfriend named Aimee Harris and her two children to move in. Harris, in the middle of a custody dispute and financial woes, appears to have been a Trump supporter according to ‘social media postings and conversations.’ She learned that Ashley Biden had stayed there, and that some of her things had been left behind, according to two people familiar with the mater.

So how did it get to Veritas? Most likely Aimee.

Prosecution Of Project Veritas Sounds Warning About Two-Tier Justice & Big-State Corruption, by Roger Kimball

There is no innocent explanation for why the FBI is investigating an allegedly stolen diary and raiding James O’Keefe’s house. From Roger Kimball at The Epoch Times via zerohedge.com:

Whatever else can be said about the FBI’s vendetta against James O’Keefe and Project Veritas, his investigative journalism enterprise, it is a useful reminder of two things:

1) that we increasingly live in a two-tier society in which the lower tier can expect the arbitrary intrusion of all the coercive elements of the state, and

2) that the fundamental legitimacy of many important American institutions is draining away rapidly like a full bathtub that is suddenly unplugged.

Scott Johnson at Powerline has an excellent summary of the case thus far.

Last Thursday, the FBI conducted a raid against two former employees of Project Veritas.

A few days later, they conducted a dawn raid against O’Keefe himself. It was the full monty.

According to Harmeet Dhillon, a lawyer for PV, the G-men showed up with a battering ram, cuffed O’Keefe, and tossed him out in the hallway in his underwear as they proceeded to ransack his home.

They made off with lots of booty, including two mobile phones chock full of privileged attorney-client communications, donor information, as well as information about ongoing Project Veritas investigations.

Yes, but what were the Feds looking for.

Why the fancy-dress SWAT-team routine?

They were apparently looking for a diary kept by Ashley Biden, daughter of Joe Biden, President of the United States.

The diary, you see, may be real—or maybe not. If real, it may have been stolen. It may have been left behind in a room once occupied by Ashley Biden.

Project Veritas, in any event, denies having stolen it.

From bits that were leaked back before the 2020 election, we can say that the document is certainly full of items that, if true, are embarrassing to Joe Biden.

Kyle Rittenhouse, Project Veritas, and the Inability to Think in Terms of Principles, by Glenn Greenwald

They’re guilty because we don’t like their politics is not a principle. From Glenn Greenwald at greenwald.substack.org:

Those whose worldview is bereft of universally applied principles, and based solely on tribal allegiances, assume everyone else is plagued by this very deficiency.

The FBI has executed a string of search warrants targeting the homes and cell phones of Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe and several others associated with that organization. It should require no effort to understand why it is a cause for concern that a Democratic administration is using the FBI to aggressively target an organization devoted to obtaining and reporting incriminating information about Democratic Party leaders and their liberal allies.

That does not mean the FBI investigation is inherently improper. Journalists are no more entitled than any other citizen to commit crimes. If there is reasonable cause to believe O’Keefe and his associates committed federal crimes, then an FBI investigation is warranted as it is for any other case. But there has been no evidence presented that O’Keefe or Project Veritas employees have done anything of the sort, nor any explanation provided to justify these invasive searches. That we should want and need that is self-evident: if the Trump-era FBI had executed search warrants inside the newsrooms of The New York Times and NBC News, we would be demanding evidence to prove it was legally justified. Yet virtually nothing has been provided to justify the FBI’s targeting of O’Keefe and his colleagues, and the little that has been disclosed by way of justifying this makes no sense.

The FBI investigation concerns the theft last year of the diary of Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, yet Project Veritas, while admitting they received a copy from an anonymous source, chose not to publish that diary because they were unable to verify it. Nobody and nothing thus far suggests that Project Veritas played any role in its acquisition, legal or otherwise. There is a cryptic reference in the search warrant to transmitting stolen material across state lines, but it is not illegal for journalists to receive and use material illegally acquired by a source: the most mainstream organizations spent the last month touting documents pilfered from Facebook by their heroic “whistleblower” Frances Haugen.

Twitter Permanently Bans Project Veritas Founder O’Keefe, by Bowen Xiao

Big tech and mainstream media are one big club, and they work with and protect each other. From Bowen Xiao at theepochtimes.com:

The Twitter account of James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, was permanently suspended on April 15 following a series of recordings the undercover journalism nonprofit posted as part of an expose on CNN.

A Twitter spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. However, other reporters said the social media platform told them that O’Keefe had been banned “for violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam.”

Twitter pointed to a section in the company’s rules, which states: “You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,” and “you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts.”

At the time of the suspension, O’Keefe had over 900,000 followers. A link to his profile now shows a screen that states “account suspended.”

O’Keefe told The Epoch Times he had heard something about a Twitter source reportedly saying the ban was due to “running a network of accounts that claimed to be things they weren’t.” He said the social media company would be emailing him momentarily with a formal reason.

O’Keefe later posted a screenshot on Telegram of the email Twitter sent to him regarding his account. That email said he was “permanently suspended” specifically for “fake accounts” used to “manipulate Twitter conversations.”

“I don’t know what they think, that I’m a Russian bot?” O’Keefe said in a phone call. “I don’t know what they are talking about. We just did the CNN thing for three days—I guess we are too effective.

Retaliation? Google Whistleblower Claims FBI, SWAT, Bomb Squad Appeared at His Home, by Tyler O’Neil

This is what happens when you buck the system. From Tyler O’Neil at pjmedia.com:

On Wednesday, former Google employee Zachary Vorhies went public as the whistleblower who spoke with Project Veritas in June, revealing the political bias in Google’s “Machine Learning Fairness” program. He also told the story of police storming his home to perform a “wellness check” after he was outed as a “leaker” and after Google had sent him a demand letter.

Project Veritas released its video with Vorhies (whose identity was masked), exposing the bias in the “Machine Learning Fairness” program and its hidden camera interview footage showing a Google executive describing her work on algorithms to prevent “the next Trump situation.” Shortly afterward, the whistleblower received a demand letter from Google.

Vorhies said he complied with Google’s demands, including sending any Google documents he retained. But he also sent those documents to the Department of Justice Antitrust Division.

An anonymous account — which Vorhies said he believes belongs to a Google employee — outed him as a “leaker” on Twitter, and then he was approached by law enforcement at his residence in California. San Francisco police received a call from Google which prompted a “wellness check.”
