Socialists Condemn Workers Of The World For Uniting

From The Babylon Bee:

OTTAWA—Socialists around the world are condemning the trucker freedom protest in Canada as the working class unites to defend their human rights.

“When workers of the world unite against overbearing government mandates, that’s literal fascism,” said a sobbing socialist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from deep within his top-secret bunker underneath Washington, D.C. “True, compassionate socialism is when the government partners with private corporations to force experimental drugs on the populace and threaten their very livelihoods if they don’t. Everyone knows that.”

According to sources, socialists were initially thrilled by the trucker convoy, as they had mistaken it for a bread line. To their dismay, they soon found out that it was a toxic freedom march organized by the working class against the Canadian bourgeois.

“As compassionate leaders, we must send heavily armed military and police personnel to stop these united working-class people before they take over and spread their freedom-loving fascism everywhere. It’s the moral thing to do,” said Trudeau.

Reports say Trudeau is weighing his options to quell the protest, including calling them Nazis, hitting them with drone strikes, or releasing a herd of angry moose into the crowd.

Fringe Minority Report, 2/17/22, Francis Marion

The latest from the north, from Francis Marion at theburningplatform.com:

The only thing they have is fear. And we’re not buying it.

The report this morning is very short. I wish I could post the videos from the truckers that I’ve seen on social media but I simply can’t so let me summarize.

The world is watching. From Israel, to Great Britain to the US the love and support that is flowing into our nation is almost unbelievable.

The truckers in Ottawa know this. They have pledged to remain and are prepared to be arrested. Those who have had their bank accounts froze continue to  find and receive support.

Canadians are responding to Trudeau’s fear tactics by pulling money out of banks and either going physical or moving it to credit unions. To what extent this is happening is difficult to say but mass ‘bank glitches’ just don’t happen by accident.

On the ground in Ottawa truckers want you to remember that they hold all the cards. They know that even if they are arrested more trucks will arrive (there are thousands of them sitting in reserve) and that the tow companies the government hijacks cannot handle them.

The message is – DO NOT BE AFRAID. Be peaceful, be forgiving and when you act, act from love not fear.

As COVID crumbles they’re already prepping the next “pandemic”, by Kit Knightly

They’re working overtime on both the next virus and the vaccine for it. From Kit Knightly at off-guardian.org:

The coronavirus may go but, from cancer to AIDS, the mRNA vaccines are here to stay.

The Covid19 narrative is broken, that battle is over. Yes, there are still pockets of token resistance, little embattled squares who aren’t ready to give up the ghost just yet, but for the most part the establishment are letting it go.

Country after country after country are “relaxing” their Covid restrictions, abandoning vaccine passport plans and attempting to “get back to normal”.

It seems every week some new “expert” who spent the last two years predicting we’re all gonna die turns up on the news claiming we should “treat Covid like the flu”.

But just because they’re giving slack on Covid does not mean the agenda behind Covid is gone. Far from it.

In fact, even as they seek to dump this pandemic in a shallow grave, they are already prepping the public for the next health scare – AIDs.

In December Joe Biden claimed it was the aim of his administration to “end the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030”. A similar campaign, launched in the UK at the same, uses the same exact phrase, word for word.

Then, just last week it was suddenly reported there was a “new variant” of HIV circulating in Europe, this new strain is allegedly “more virulent”, “more transmissable”, and “progresses to AIDS faster”.

At the same time, papers are reporting that for the first time in years heterosexuals are more likely to contract HIV than homosexuals, and they are “more at risk of AIDS” because they’re “diagnosed late”.

GoFundMe And How The Left Came To Despise The Working Class, by Roger L. Simon

One reason the left now despises the working class is because the working class actually works, they don’t have high-paying cushy sinecures in government, academia, the media, and the foundations. From Roger L. Simon at The Epoch Times via zerohedge.com:

What irony!

Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger must be turning over in their graves.

Bernie Sanders must be having sleepless nights.

The left-wing anthem “Which Side Are You On?” is no longer about whether you’re a “union man” or a “thug for J.H. Blair.” It’s about the size of your stock portfolio or when to go public with your start-up.

Huge crowds gather on Parliament Hill during the trucker convoy protest against COVID-19 mandates and restrictions, in Ottawa on Jan. 29, 2022. (Jonathan Ren/The Epoch Times)

The oh-so-progressive GoFundMe crowd-funding site—run by about as pure a group of upscale lefty elitists as you could invent, with its CEO being a former a consultant for the multimillion-dollar drug pushers at McKinsey—has turned against those lowly 16-hour-a-day working-stiffs, the Canadian truckers, for deigning to risk their jobs and livelihood to protest vaccine mandates.

At first, calling the truckers occupiers and accusing them—without the slightest proof—of violent acts, GoFundMe essentially absconded with the US$8 million donated to the truckers through its site and peremptorily decided to distribute the money to charities of its choice (one can only imagine).

Sounds like “misappropriation of funds,” at the minimum, and possibly fraud. Don’t these people have lawyers? But worse than that, it was one of the more clueless readings of public sentiment in recent years—and there have been many.

Maybe it’s because those lefty elitists on their board don’t do much shopping on their own, send assistants to the supermarkets for food, and don’t see the empty shelves, so they think they can push the truckers around. That’s an explanation, anyway, but blowback happened fast enough that GoFundMe quickly rescinded its “charitable” decree and promised to return the money to the donors.

The Terror, by NickelthroweR

What it’s like to be mega-cancelled. From NickelthroweR at theburningplatform.com:

I was taking a break from cutting firewood and I sat down at my computer to see if anyone had responded to my post over at r/antiwork.  I’m not a popular guy over at r/antiwork and my comments usually get downvoted into the negative.  But, this was my first ever post over at the site and I was curious as to what the 4 or 5 commenters would have to say about what I had written but it wasn’t 4 or 5 commenters.  I looked at the numbers in disbelief and then I looked again and that was when I felt the first twinge of terror.

For those of you that do not know, r/antiwork is a forum populated by fierce/brave Communists that wish to destroy Capitalism so that they can all receive UBI so that they can focus on being Influencers, Podcasters and YouTubers.  After all, they did figure out that work is difficult, and they most certainly want to share that philosophy with everyone so as to justify their lifetime free ride of goods and services that are OWED to them.

A popular topic over at r/antiwork is the job interview process.  I understand the frustration of interviewing in a bureaucratic hyper-regulated system can cause a lot of anger but the corporation has boxes that it must check in the hiring process or be sued into oblivion.  You’ve got to interview every single minority group, the alphabet people, radical feminists, etc, even if you’ve already decided on promoting someone in-house.  That doesn’t matter, HR still has to pretend as the bureauracy demands that it go through the motions.  The Maoists over at r/antiwork do not understand that it is their own woke idealogy causing these problems but to them, it just looks like malice from an evil corporation.

Europe Unemployment. Big Government, Less Jobs, by Daniel Lacalle

Bigger government means a smaller private sector and less wealth to create innovation and jobs. From Daniel Lacalle at dlacalle.com:

The unemployment rate in the Euro Area fell to 7% in December and 6.4% in the European Union, compared with the United States at 3.9%. We cannot forget that these unemployment rates do not include furloughed jobs covered by unemployment retention schemes, which account for another 5 million workers waiting to return to normal activity.

After a fiscal stimulus plan of more than 5% of GDP in 2020 and another 4% in 2021 and the European Central Bank purchasing 100% of net issuances from most sovereigns, the recovery shows a concerning weakness. Furlough jobs are rising again, working hours are still below the pre-pandemic level and real wages are falling as inflation eats the recovery.

In December 2021, the youth unemployment rate was 14.9% in both the EU and the euro area.

These unemployment levels are high, but some member states have even higher jobless ratios. Spain has a 13% official unemployment rate with still 220 thousand furlough jobs, and the youth unemployment rate stands at 30%.

What these figures show is that high government spending and enormous employment retention schemes have not helped to get the European economy recovering faster or improve job creation compared to similar economic zones.

The economic recovery has been slow and the job creation even slower. Furthermore, a large proportion of the job recovery has been from the public sector. In Spain, for example, there are still 95k less jobs in the private sector than before the pandemic and 220k more in the public sector.

How China Does Immigration, by Kenric Ward

China’s immigration policy makes a whole lot more sense than the U.S.’s. From a direct submission by SLL reader Kenric Ward:

As millions of illegal aliens stream across the U.S. southern border and the Biden administration moves to import more foreign workers, China’s government has pursued a decidedly different immigration policy which has helped to expand that nation’s middle class.

More than 1 million legal migrants arrive in the U.S. annually, and an estimated 1.4 million illegal aliens (a group the size of San Diego) entered this country just last year. Currently, America is home to more than 48 million foreign-born residents, and counting.

Contrast that incoming tidal wave with China, which has barely 1 million immigrants, total. According to the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), only about 10,000 individuals were granted resident status in China between 2004 and 2016 (less than 900 per year). Naturalization figures are even lower.

Though China’s supply of rural workers is shrinking and growth in rural-urban migration has abated, Beijing has not resorted to U.S.-style mass immigration. Instead, the communist-capitalist nation selectively targets a limited cadre of professional, commercial and educational migrants.

The Canadian Freedom Convoy: Blacked Out, Defunded, and Still Growing, by Adam Tate

This is probably the most impressive protest since the Covid travesty started. From Adam Tate at theorganicprepper.com:

It was on January 15 that the Canadian government decided they needed to impose a jab mandate over Canadian truckers, claiming that man no longer had the right to his own body, but that his body instead belonged to the state.

And so, Canadian truckers organized, creating the Freedom Convoy.

This massive caravan may very well have set a world record, as it’s estimated that 50,000 trucks have joined with it. That’s trucks – not truckers.

https://twitter.com/MarkSlapinski/status/1486549852381134849?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1486549852381134849%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theorganicprepper.com%2Ffreedom-convoy%2F

The January 15 royal decree has stated that Canadian truckers who do not have The Jabawockee in their body will be forced by Canada to undergo a two-week quarantine period should they traverse the Canadian-American border.

Washington DC decreed a similar demand on January 22, when the post-9/11 US Department of Homeland Security decided that Canadian truckers had to be fully jabbed should they enter American soil.

Both of these decrees (when enforced by those who do not understand what their respective countries truly stand for) would result in thousands of men losing their ability to provide a paycheck for their families – to put bread on the table.

Truckers Across Planet Unite In Convoys Against Medical Tyranny, by Tyler Durden

In this era of supply chain issues and delivery problems, truckers have more leverage than any other employee group. They deserve a fulsome salute for using that leverage for freedom from medical tyranny. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge:

The 50,000 strong truck drivers heading to Ottawa, Canada’s capital, expected to arrive as early as Saturday, may break a world record for the longest convoy. Called the “Freedom Convoy,” the truck drivers oppose the federal government’s vaccine mandates for cross-border activity and have inspired others worldwide.

Truck drivers from Canada to the US to Australia to Europe are banding together in protests worldwide against their respective governments’ overreach of public health, especially forced vaccine mandates.

Freedom convoys from America are expected to join tens of thousands of truckers in Ottowa on Saturday to get the government to repeal cross-border COVID vaccine passports.

Commodus Americanus, by The Zman

The U.S. government (I don’t say “our government” anymore) is filled with people who have only had jobs in politics, law, academia, media, and lobbying. They’ve never held a real job and have never had to deal with the routine concerns of middle-class life. From The Zman at thezman.com:

There is an old expression, “shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations”, that has haunted powerful people since forever. A variation on this is “The first generation makes it. The second generation maintains it and the third generation blows it”. While not an iron law of the universe, it is an observation that has held up over time. Whether it is business empires or political empires, the work of the great man somehow turns into a curse that plagues the lives of his descendents.

The funny thing about this bit of reality is that it is well known and many very smart people have tried to come up with a solution, but the problem remains. In the business world, expert planners work with business owners to help them mitigate this disaster, but only about 10% of family business make it to the grandchildren. The trust system was designed with this in mind. The grandchildren will never amount to much, but at least they will have an allowance to sustain them.

It is fair to say that popular forms of government were invented to address the problem of private rule going sour by the third generation. Caesar Augustus was the great founder of the empire. Tiberius Caesar Augustus was solid, but he suffered from the predictable maladies of every second generation ruler. Caligula is arguably Rome’s most famous lunatic. Of course, we have Claudius, an interregnum of sorts, before we get to Nero, who was literally the end of the line.
