Net Zero You, by Joel Bowman

Our would be rulers are trying to outlaw living. From Joe Bowman at bonnerprivateresearch.com:

Are you the carbon they wish to eliminate?

Joel Bowman, appraising the situation from Buenos Aires, Argentina…

Welcome back, dear reader, to another Sunday Session, that time of the week when we gather at the virtual saloon to banter with mates and, in the immortal words of the great Aussie band, Cold Chisel, “see which one of us can tell the biggest lie”…

The world’s temperature has been “top of mind” for global elites of late, as last week’s Davos confab brought together a few thousand of the planet’s largest polluters to discuss what you’re doing wrong. Fortunately, the lifeblood appears to be draining from that coven of cackling kooks. (See our cheerful/hopeful obituary here: W.E.F… R.I.P.)

But that doesn’t leave the situation down here at sea level, where the rest of us jilted peasants reside, any clearer. Constantly we are reminded of the “existential crisis” facing mankind. Indeed, barely a day goes by when some righteous politician, ex-royal or hack actor is not on hand to lecture us about our carbon-based transgressions.

Take Jane Fonda, apparently immune to embarrassment, who was wheeled out this week to draw an imaginary line between climate change and… “sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, whatever… the war.

WEF… RIP, by Joel Bowman

Davos ain’t what it used to be. From Joel Bowman at bonnerprivateresearch.com:

A eulogy for our moral betters, high on hallowed Davos ground

Joel Bowman, appraising the situation from Buenos Aires, Argentina…

Welcome back to another Sunday Session, dear reader, that time of the week when we gather at the virtual watering hole to vent our spleen, lament the obscene and foment revolt against the elitist machine… all with the abiding help of a glass or two of Bill’s high altitude Malbec. (You know… “in vino veritas,” and all that…)

As patient readers/reading patients already know, we’ve been ruminating of late over a theory of history… not ours, per se, but rather one handed down by the ancients. We’ve been looking at cycles… those short-, medium- and long-term undulations of the ages.

Briefly stated, we’ve been examining the concept of enantiodromia, which holds that all things, at all times, are in the process of becoming their opposite.

It was Heraclitus, the pre-Socratic philosopher, who first noticed the universal phenomenon, observing that, when it comes to the natural world around us, “change is the only constant.”

A phoenix rises from the ashes… as a youthful body decays. The many who are first shall be last… as the many who are last, shall be first. Powerful empires yield to decadence… as barbarians gather at the gates.

(The clever ol’ Ephesian also reminded us, and for the same reason, that “a man cannot step in the same river twice.” Not only has the river changed, but so too has the man.)

A “Corrupt Circle-Jerk…” Of “Select Human Beings” – Did Davos Just Reach ‘Peak Creepy’? By Tyler Durden

It’s hard to see how Davos can get any creepier, but these clowns keep taking it to the next level. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

With the World Economic Forum in Davos in full swing, and media muppets suggesting that things like the forum’s “Great Reset’, banning gas stoves, and eating bugs are nothing more than conspiracy theories cooked up by conservatives, it seems that the national media – both large and small, is now fixated on the event in order to take cues from the world’s increasingly insane ‘elite.’

Former New York Times editor Jill Abramson suggested that the event – which was previously given little coverage by the ‘paper of record,’ was – and  is, “a corrupt circle-jerk.”

“I noticed (after I was gone), much more ‘news’ coverage in the Times of Davos, quoting the attendees and speakers at those endless panels. Of course, the coverage was a sweetener to flatter the CEOs by seeing their names in the NYT so that they would then speak at high-dollar NYT conferences and – of course – get phony news stories from the conferences into the paper.”

“It was — and is, a corrupt circle jerk,” Abramson told Semafor EIC (“Buzzfeed”) Ben Smith.

And while the WEF has tamped down prognostications involving bug-eating and banning gas stoves, it’s still extremely creepy.

As Michael Snyder suggests in The Most Important News, Davos may have even reached “peak creepy.”

‘Fragmented world’ sleepwalks into World War III, by Pepe Escobar

When political figures talk about “cooperation,” it’s code for, “Do as I say or else.” From Pepe Escobar at presstv.ir:

US Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) (L) talks with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) during a rally with fellow Democrats before voting on H.R. 1, or the People Act, on the East Steps of the US Capitol on March 08, 2019 in Washington, DC. (AFP photo)

The self-appointed Davos “elites” are afraid. So afraid. At this week’s World Economic Forum meetings, mastermind Klaus Schwab – displaying his trademark Bond villain act – carped over and over again about a categorical imperative: we need “Cooperation in a Fragmented World”.

While his diagnosis of “the most critical fragmentation” the world is now mired in is predictably somber, Herr Schwab maintains that “the spirit of Davos is positive” and in the end we may all live happily in a “green sustainable economy.”

What Davos has been good at this week is showering public opinion with new mantras. There’s “The New System” which, considering the abject failure of the much ballyhooed Great Reset, now looks like a matter of hastily updating the current – rattled – operating system.

Davos needs new hardware, new programming skills, even a new virus. Yet for the moment all that’s available is a “polycrisis”: or, in Davos speak, a “cluster of related global risks with compounding effects.”

In plain English: a perfect storm.

Insufferable bores from that Divide and Rule island in northern Europe have just found out that “geopolitics”, alas, never really entered the tawdry “end of history” tunnel: much to their amazement it’s now centered – again – across the Heartland, as it’s been for most of recorded history.

They complain about “threatening” geopolitics, which is code for Russia-China, with Iran attached.

But the icing on the Alpine cake is arrogance/stupidity actually giving away the game: the City of London and its vassals are  livid because the “world Davos made” is fast collapsing.

Davos did not “make” any world apart from its own simulacrum.

Davos Men, by Bill Bonner and Joel Bowman

It should be Davos poor-excuse-for-men. From Bill Bonner and Joel Bowman at bonnerprivateresearch.com:

Your moral betters prepare for their annual, world improving confabulation

Bill Bonner, reckoning today from Paris, France…

Paris is gray. But not grim. People are out and about. Face masks have almost disappeared.

But everybody grumbles…and in France, as in America, elite deciders are making everyday life harder. One thing: they’ve banned the use of outdoor heaters, which were ubiquitous in sidewalk cafes. You used to be able to sit outside near the gas heater and enjoy the street life. No more…

Meanwhile, we are working our way through a list of things that can go wrong. The World Economic Forum (WEF) calls it a “polycrisis.” We prefer the half-word “cluster” as it is more descriptive of the disaster to come.

Inflation, for example. The WEF’s Global Risks survey signals higher living costs as one of its near-term flash points. And here’s the latest. CNBC reports:

Inflation just dropped to 6.5%—but the ‘most important’ factor in predicting if it will keep falling is up 0.4%

In Thursday’s CPI report, “services less rent of shelter” showed a 0.4% increase in December. …since wages are “the largest cost in delivering these services,” [Powell] said, that might indicate out-of-control wage growth…

There is “sticky” inflation…and inflation of the Teflon variety. The non-sticky inflation includes things that go up and down readily – such as oil and commodities. The ‘sticky’ inflation comes from things such as wages and shelter, that don’t get marked-to-market on a daily basis.

Yesterday’s numbers tell us that the sticky part may become a tar baby – hard to get rid of. In the ‘services including rents’ category, for example, prices are up more than 7%. Much of that is wages. And nobody takes a wage cut to fight inflation.

Globalists have entered the kill phase of Great Reset; Remember the Deagel population forecast? It now makes total sense, by Leo Hohmann

Yes, they want to kill you. From Leo Hohmann at leohohmann.com:

This was a big week for the globalists. They feel it’s their time, go time, to launch the most difficult phase of the Great Reset so they can get on with what they call the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, as explained by World Economic Forum guru Klaus Schwab, will lead to a “fusion” of every human being’s physical, biological and digital identities. It’s basically the dawning of a new era based on transhumanism and technocracy, something akin to what was laid out in the novel Brave New World.

But they can’t get there until they reset everything. Kill off the old. Bring on the new.

Resetting the world isn’t something you can pull off by just pushing a button. It requires a series of well-designed global crises, as Schwab and his chief advisor Yuval Noah Harari have said on more than one occasion.

Careening Towards Grace, by James Howard Kunstler

Awareness becomes increasingly widespread that the contemptible Ruling Class wants to impose global totalitarianism, and resistance mounts. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

The World Economic Forum (WEF), a.k.a. the Davos Gang, held its 2022 schmoozefest in that tidy Swiss alpine village last week, after a nearly three-year hiatus on account of the coronavirus pandemic they generously arranged for the rest of us. These are the self-defined leaders of the Great Re-set — Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and Klaus’s scaly majordomo, Dr. Yuval Noah Harari, the inverse reincarnation of Adolf Eichmann, famous for declaring that “humans are hackable animals.” Did he mean, like, with a meat cleaver?

Who do these schnitzel-scarfing, Krug-guzzling punks think they are? Or, to paraphrase the immortal words of one Pete Hogwallop, who elected them boss of this outfit?

Nobody, that’s who, on this whole, wide, ever-turning world, which they literally aim to take over. Actually, from the way they talk, it already looks like they’ve hijacked the sucker and us “worthless” and “useless” humans on it, as Dr. Harari has labeled the multitudes riding the planet in economy class. Kind of looks like we’re in for a rough landing.

World Economic Forum Was Created by US Policies, by Dr. Joseph Mercola

Nothing is so dangerous to clowns like the WEF membership as an independent thinker. From Dr. Joseph Mercola at theburningplatform.com:

Story at-a-glance

  • Klaus Schwab, owner and chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), is the most dangerous man in the world
  • WEF’s ultimate goal is to do away with the democratic process and give all ownership and control to the deep state — and the technocratic elite who control it
  • WEF relies on fearmongering; when the population is controlled by fear, it welcomes authoritarian “protections” like increased surveillance and digital identity systems, introduced under the guise of safety, but which ultimately remove personal autonomy and freedom

Thanks to Putin’s War in Ukraine The Race is On for the Great Reset, by Tom Luongo

It’s Davos versus Putin, and the outcome will have dramatic consequences. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.me:

Vladimir Putin has become the pivotal figure of the 21st century. Of that there is no doubt. The size and breadth of the ground operation in Ukraine, despite some mistakes, has been impressive.

Before I go any farther I want to make sure that we’re clear. While the situation seems to be moving decidedly in Russia’s favor, I am willing to remain reasonably skeptical of all the reports I’ve seen so far.

The slowdown in the information flow over the past few days has been as impressive as the stated gains of the Russian military in Ukraine over that same timeframe.

Since what I’ve been seeing is repetition and amplification of the same maps and sources, nothing should be taken for granted about the outcomes in Ukraine for Putin and Russia. That said, let’s not get carried away in thinking the Ukrainian army is putting up much of a fight here, because they are not.

Great Reset? Putin Says, “Not So Fast” by Tom Luongo

Neither Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping had anything nice to say at the Davos virtual conclave about the Davos crowd’s Great Reset. From Tom Luongo at tomluongo.me:

Did you happen to catch the most important political speech of the last six years?

It would have been easy to miss given everything going on.  In fact, I almost did, and this speech sits at the intersection of nearly all of my areas of intense study.

The annual World Economic Forum took place last week via teleconference, what I’m calling Virtual Davos, and at this year’s event, of course, the signature topic was their project called the Great Reset.

But if the WEF was so intent on presenting the best face for the Great Reset to the world it wouldn’t have invited either Chinese Premier Xi Jinping or, more importantly, Russian President Vladimir Putin.

And it was Putin’s speech that brought down the house of cards that is the agenda of the WEF.

The last time someone walked into a major international forum and issued such a scathing critique of the current geopolitical landscape was Putin’s speech to the United Nations on September 29th, 2015, two days before he sent a small contingency of Russian air support to Syria.

There he excoriated not only the U.N. by name but most importantly the U.S. and its NATO allies by inference asking the most salient question, “Do you understand what you have done?” having unleashed chaos in an already chaotic part of the world?

As important as that speech was it was Putin’s actions after that which defined the current era of geopolitical chess across the Eurasian continent.   Syria became the nexus around which the resistance to the “ISIS is invincible” narrative unraveled

And the mystery of who was behind ISIS, namely the Obama administration, was revealed to anyone paying attention.
