Thralldom and Its Uses, by James Howard Kunstler

When people can’t find food, they lose their taste for TPTB bullshit. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

Spring is always convulsive, with new things heaving into life. Under every dead leaf, something stirs and seeks light, the old must make way for the new, and to some degree the earth is not quite the same place as it was the last time it turned, though the scene looks superficially familiar. Winter’s torpor is, at least, a cold comfort, but springtime’s warmth and movement rattle the nerves. Things unseen shift ominously beneath us. Everything is pending and tending, and nothing is resolved.

Having wrecked its latest business model —hypertrophic financial fakery — Western Civ stumbles into the blinding new reality that it takes real stuff to run an economy, and that money itself is not an adequate replacement for the stuff. The trillions supposedly vested, for instance, in stock market valuations mostly represent mere wishes and promises, and for what? Why, for more money — which responds by losing value, so that we’re racing ever faster toward a receding horizon.

You’ve Been Misinformed, by James Howard Kunstler

If you don’t instinctively distrust anything you hear from the government or its captive crony institutions, you haven’t been paying attention. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

Isn’t it obvious by now that pervasive dishonesty is the foremost crisis of many crises in Western Civ generally and American life in particular? All our authorities have made themselves false, lying their way into the broad collapse of confidence that drives the nation toward some culminating horror show of strife and loss.

The go-to lever of concerted mind-fuckery has been the term-of-art misinformation, applied especially to things and propositions that are truthful — thereby confounding the public’s ability to discern truth in anything, or to discover how they are being misled in matters of life and death. We’ve allowed the worst in human nature to disgrace ourselves. Satan, Father of Lies, is Western Civ’s paragon of disgrace, and so American life appears more and more Satanic and disgraceful.

Defending Psychological War, by Caitlin Johnstone

As long as the cause is right, there’s nothing wrong with government lying at all, and it should be encouraged. From Caitlin Johnstone at caitlinjohnstone.com:

This is the stage of narrative control where the public is trained to defend their government’s right to commit psychological warfare, even when it’s openly based on outright lies.

NBC News has a report out citing multiple anonymous U.S. officials, humorously titled “In a break with the past, U.S. is using intel to fight an info war with Russia, even when the intel isn’t rock solid.“

The officials say the Biden administration has been rapidly pushing out “intelligence” about Moscow’s plans in Ukraine that is “low-confidence” or “based more on analysis than hard evidence” or even just plain false, in order to fight an information war against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The report says that toward this end the U.S. government has deliberately circulated false or poorly evidenced claims about impending chemical weapons attacks, about Russian plans to orchestrate a false flag attack in the Donbass to justify an invasion, about Putin’s advisers misinforming him and about Russia seeking arms supplies from China.

James Rickards: I’ve Never Heard So Many Lies

Western government and media prevarication has broken to the upside again, challenging the Covid-19 upside breakout. From James Rickards at dailyreckoning.com:

All wars are full of lies. Winston Churchill famously said, “In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies.”

We accept that idea broadly. Secret invasion plans should be closely held. The identities of spies must be kept under wraps. New weapons and defensive tools should not be revealed because enemies will be alerted to their potential and begin offensive workarounds.

Still, just because the government has legitimate reasons to deceive the public in wartime does not mean that citizens don’t have a duty to find the truth to the extent they can.

The Russian-Ukraine kinetic war and the broader U.S.-Russian economic war are full of more lies than any public events I’ve seen in my lifetime including Vietnam, Watergate and the Iraq War.

That’s how big the lies are.

20 questions they don’t want to answer, by Steve Kirsch

Never underestimate the power of 20 questions. From Steve Kirsch at stevekirsch.substack.com:

I can’t get a single one of these questions answered. I promise to stop spreading misinformation if you can just publicly answer just these questions with truthful and accurate answers.

20 Questions (TV Series 2018– ) - IMDb

An open letter to the White House, Surgeon General Murthy, Twitter censors, Medium censors, LinkedIn censors, YouTube censors, the medical community, the mainstream media, all members of US Congress, world leaders, all public health officials anywhere in the world, all “fact checker” organizations, and members of the California legislature especially Assemblymember Evan Low and Senator Dr. Richard Pan.

Dear folks,

I know you want to stop COVID misinformation. I agree. It’s a problem.

In my view, you are the ones spreading it, not me.

Unfortunately, not everyone sees it the same way. According to CCDH, who is arguably a world authority on misinformation spreaders (they created the original Disinformation Dozen list relied on by the White House), I’m one of the worst offenders: I’m #3 on their list.

The problem I have is simple: the data clearly shows that it is the CDC and other government agencies that are spreading misinformation, not me.

In order to resolve the conflict, I’m going to make the following offer in good faith: I will happily stop spreading “misinformation” if you all would just take a few minutes to answer a few questions for me. Fair enough? Will you do that?

If not, please tell me why not since this is your only chance of convincing people like me to get the jab.

Corporate-State Fascism Is Already Here, by Good Citizen

This writer does not make the common mistake of mistaking current corporate-state fascism with capitalism. The two are poles apart. From Good Citizen at thegoodcitizen.substack.com:

Long live capitalism.

Brought to you by…

“Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.” — Not Benito Mussolini, but still true.

Corporations have been controlling governments across the west to varying degrees since there were governments to control. Today this happens with back room deal making, revolving doors of executives shuffling between board rooms and government agencies charged with that industry’s oversight and then back to the board room. It happens through funding research with corporate grants and state subsidies in what is now called ‘regulatory capture’.

We do not call ‘regulatory capture’ bribery or corruption. We do not even call bribery or massive corruption in government by its real name, we call it “lobbying”. We do not call the lateral move from corporation to government agencies on behalf of that corporation’s industry corruption, we call it “public service”. No matter how large the speaking fees or how many millions in stock options await the public servant they are apparently still serving the public and not the corporation.

When politicians take millions in contributions from corporations we do not call that corruption either, or bribery, we call it “campaign financing” through “political action committees”. No matter how many millions the politician raises through these legal mechanisms we are still supposed to believe they will serve the voters and not their financial contributors.

The Power of Propaganda: State Control of the Press and Media Will Be the Death Knell of Freedom, by Gary D. Barnett

Around the globe, state control of the media keeps tightening. There is not a single nation that’s going the other way. From Gary D. Barnett at lewrockwell.com:

“Until you realize how easy it is for your mind to be manipulated, you remain the puppet of someone else’s game.”

Evita Ochel

Once again, black is white and white is black. We are all living in a state-created inversion. The press, as has been noted in this country and others since the beginning, was charged with the noble role of informing the people about what is actually going on around them. The freedom of the press has been lauded as necessary for any free society to exist. America’s own so-called ‘Bill of Rights’ in the first amendment states that Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, but all government ‘guarantees,’ as has been exposed, are as worthless as the paper on which they are printed. If all this is true, then why is the entirety of all mainstream and major press and media so corrupt, dishonest, colluding, state-supporting, evil, and essentially controlled by the CIA? Why are virtually all ‘news’ reporting entities owned by the same small group of individuals and companies, or the state itself? Why is most all the ‘reporting’ just propaganda, regardless of the venue?

The only sane position to take in this day and age is to understand that every word coming from the whores in the press, the politicians, and the media are absolute lies. Everything should be considered a falsehood, and should be ignored until and unless it is completely verified and supported by fact.

We are living in madness; we are living in total absurdity. There is no other way to explain our current situation. So why does the bulk of society, not just in this country, but around the world, still cling to every word coming from the state and its minions in the press and media? Why do people believe whatever they are told to believe, without the benefit of any facts or logic; even to the point of voluntarily destroying their own life’s work, their families and loved ones, their communities, and their very souls? Can this ever be legitimately explained?

Dishonesty is a Bad Business Plan, by James Howard Kunstler

The lies have become too big and too numerous to hide, and when they are completely disclosed, the anger and recrimination will be epic. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

The whopping untruths launched onto the people of Western Civ by their governments reformatted the brains of millions so badly that they shuffled obediently into a mass formation and ran over a buffalo jump. What a stampede it has been!

But suddenly, the remaining buffaloes are balking at the cliff’s edge, seeing the bodies pile up below. Some of the bulls have even turned the other way and started charging back across the darkling prairie at the creatures driving the herd with their klaxons of deceit. All authority, from Vienna to Vancouver, stands revealed as psychopathic — it apparently seeks to kill and injure as many as possible. Talk about the needle and the damage done! Why else persist with vaccines that don’t work and which provoke the most lethal disease mechanisms as side-effects?

White House on Ukraine and Syria: If you don’t trust us, then f–k you, by Jeff Shogol

Government in general and the U.S. government in particular have done everything possibly to destroy trust. From Jeff Shogol at taskandpurpose.com:

Well, okay then.

joe biden
WASHINGTON, DC – AUGUST 26: U.S. President Joe Biden speaks about the situation in Afghanistan in the East Room of the White House on August 26, 2021 in Washington, DC. At least 12 American service members were killed on Thursday by suicide bomb attacks near the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images).

If it’s starting to feel like March 2003, that’s because President Joe Biden’s administration is definitely taking an “either you are with us or with the terrorists” vibe.

Top White House and State Department officials tried to shut down reporters’ questions on Thursday about the veracity of Biden administration claims on Russia and Syria.

To wit: U.S. officials claim that Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi killed himself, his wife, and two children when he detonated an explosive device during a special operations forces raid in Syria. The Pentagon is further claiming that all the civilians killed during the raid died as a result of actions taken by Al-Qurayshi and one of his deputies, who fought U.S. troops along with his wife.

Separately, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters Thursday that the U.S. government has information that Russia may launch a false flag attack and blame it on the Ukrainian military or intelligence forces.

“As part of this fake attack, we believe that Russia would produce a very graphic propaganda video which would include corpses and actors that would be depicting mourners and images of destroyed locations as well as military equipment at the hands of Ukraine or the West – even to the point where some of this equipment would be made to look like it was Western-supplied into Ukraine equipment,” Kirby said during a Pentagon news briefing.

Yet no one from the Biden administration has presented evidence to back up any of its statements absolving the U.S. military of all blame for the civilian casualties in Syria or its accusation that Russia could create a glorified snuff film as a pretext to invade Ukraine.

The Ever-Shifting Narrative, by Eric Peters

It’s often difficult and sometimes impossible to hit a randomly moving target. From Eric Peters at ericpetersautos.com:

One of the tools psychopaths use to keep their victims off-balance, confused and unable to understand they’re being victimized is to constantly shift the narrative. They change the subject serially, so their victim never has a chance to finalize dealing with this before having to deal with that.

Consider the way the narrative about “vaccines” has shifted.

At first, the narrative purred that these “vaccines” miraculously Warp Speeded into existence would end the “crisis” (in the usual air-fingers quotes to emphasize the falsity of usage in the case of a sickness that 99.8-something percent of those who get it recover from) just like that.

Salvation! Deliverance! Our freedoms returned!

We were assured – to a “95 percent” certainty – by the head psychopath-in-supposed-charge, the Biden Thing, that those who got “vaccinated” – just the once, you’ll recall – could not get or give the sickness.

This lie caused millions to willingly get “vaccinated” in the early months of 2021. Many of them probably would have thought twice about it if they had known the truth, beforehand.

Now they know the shot they got – it is not a vaccine – didn’t confer the immunity they thought they were getting. The thing specifically touted by the Biden Thing.

Even if you’ve had three or four “vaccinations.”

People began to ask perky questions. The primary one being – why should I get a “vaccination” that doesn’t immunize me against getting sick? And what is the point of a “vaccine” that doesn’t prevent the further spread of sickness?

Change the subject – quickly.

“Vaccines” reduce the severity of sickness. Those who get “vaccinated” – over and over again – can still get sick, it’s true.

But the psychopaths pushing the new narrative coo that you are less likely to become seriously sick (How much less likely that is – given the established recovery rate of 99.8-something percent for the unvaccinated – is a math problem apparently too ponderous for examination) if you just take the shots.
