Headline “Fairfax school board eliminates admissions test at Thomas Jefferson High School” probably America’s most demanding school for science and technology.

Oh god, Oh god. Who is on the school board? Predictably education majors, the dimmest, lowest SAT-scoring dregs of the professional classes, the horror of smart students subjected to their grade-school mentalities. But not just ed majors. Probably also psychologists, sociologists, bored housewives, and liberal-artsy painfully virtuous men alight with Civic Consciousness. Oh god.

TJ, the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, is a jewel in the country’s collapsing system of education, a bright light in the growing darkness. Its kids are scary smart, among the best of young minds, going on to CalTech, MIT, Harvard. This year 132 were National Merit Semi-finalists, putting them in the upper one half of one percent. Entry was, until now, by a demanding test of intelligence, though we must not so describe it as that would be racist, and manifest White Privilege, even though most of the students are Asian. Youngsters at this level need a rich academic diet to avoid boredom, to include among other things serious mathematics. Which, I will bet, not one of the earnest, uplift espousing, self-consciously good, droopy-IQed of the Board has the slightest grasp. How much is three factorial? Hint: It’s a number between five and seven. You may have five guesses.

TJ was a haven for the smart. But now Fairfax County is going to drop the intelligence test—though, remember—we must never call it an intelligence test. Why drop the test? Do you even ask? It is because not enough blacks get in. The purpose of a high-end school is to admit blacks.

Like the Energizer Bunny, radical egalitarians are a persistent bunch. They have long kidnapped Mother Nature and tried to torture her into transforming human nature, but being a tough old bird, she’s held steady. The latest egalitarian machinations can be seen in New York City where the quest is to equalize race-related academic achievement and, no doubt, Mother Nature will successfully resist. Nevertheless, this latest social engineering enterprise exposes what lies behind this seemingly benign “helping minorities.” Glib rhetoric aside; this latest venture is closer to ethnic cleansing than “school reform.”

The facts are simple. The city’s public schools with 1.1 million students is two-thirds black and Hispanic, highly segregated and almost without exception, black and Hispanic students perform poorly academically. Meanwhile, scholastically accomplished schools are disproportionately white and Asian, and are kept this way through state and local testing.

Much of the putative cure for alleged inequality is just a grab-bag of futile ideas that have long floated around the education reform literature, for example, making lessons more culturally relevant to under-privileged minorities such as having the watch the Broadway hit “Hamilton” featuring hip-hop music while Mayor de Blasio has long ranted against elite schools claiming that lots of super-smart blacks and Hispanics, kids he regularly personally encounters, just lack test-taking skills.

But new on this agenda, though hardly unpredictable, is today’s fashionable Great Satan: White Racism. Ayanna Behin, head of one of the city’s school districts put it, “Racism is foundational in all of our institutions, in our government, our economy, our health-care system, our legal system and our education system.” And Ayanna is hardly alone in her diagnosis.

It’s not racism that’s holding America’s blacks back. From Walter E. Williams at theburningplatform.com:

Correct Diagnostics Needed

You present to a physician with severe abdominal pain. He examines you and concludes that your ingrown toenails are the cause of your abdominal distress. He prescribes that you soak your feet in warm water but that does not bring relief to your abdominal pain. Then he suggests that you apply antibiotics to your feet. Still no relief. Then the physician suggests that you wear sandals instead of shoes. Still no relief. The point of this story is that your toenails can be treated until the cows come home, but if there is improper diagnosis, then you are still going to have your abdominal pain.

The former superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, Meria Carstarphen, last year said, “White students are nearly 4.5 grade levels ahead of their black peers within Atlanta Public Schools.” In San Francisco, 70% of white students are proficient in math; for black students, it is 12% — a gap of 58%. In Washington, D.C., 83% of white students scored proficient in reading, as did only 23% of black students — a gap of 60%. In Philadelphia, 47% of black students scored below basic in math and 42% scored below basic in reading. In Baltimore, 59% of black students scored below basic in math and 49% in reading. In Detroit, 73% of black students scored below basic in math and 56% in reading.

“Below basic” is the score a student receives when he is unable to demonstrate even partial mastery of knowledge and grade level skills. How much can racism explain this? To do well in school, someone must make a kid do his homework, get a good night’s rest, have breakfast and mind the teacher. If these basic family functions are not performed, it makes little difference how much money is put into education the result will be disappointing.

Britain: Two-Stepping Toward Totalitarianism, by Andrew Ash

The British tradition of civil liberties, exported to the US and many other parts of the old empire, is fading fast. From Andrew Ash at gatestoneinstitute.org:

  • It has become an almost daily occurrence to find news stories of parents being ‘called out’ by their newly politicised children for expressing on social media ‘wrong’, ‘unwoke’ views, or of people being fired for something they may or may not have said years ago.
  • This sense of entitlement has come to characterise a group whose younger demographic seem to have no comprehension of the horrors of a war — or indeed, of many authentic hardships — in their own relatively comfortable lives.
  • This lack of respect for, or understanding of, history, along with an apparent need to invent, import, or re-animate grievances from the past, then lead these protestors to advocate inflicting what they decide is the appropriate revenge for a grievance on people who have had no part in causing it.
  • Tolerance is to be expected only from others…. One man’s freedom, it seems, has become another man’s cause for resentment.
  • The protestors’ dismissal of British heritage, a bid to ‘cancel’ history, appears a threat to the nation. We supposedly have nothing to be proud of. Our achievements have presumably been little more than the spoils of an evil, bigoted patriarchal system. These malcontents, by pledging allegiance to the Marxist architects of that narrative, not only insult the memory of those who have fought and died for the freedoms we now take for granted; they are also two-stepping towards totalitarianism.

There was a time when the British were known for their stoicism, their ability to battle through hardship, no matter the odds. The so called ‘blitz spirit’ of eighty years ago, that saw the nation ‘pull together and carry on’, regardless of the Nazi bombardment of our cities, characterised a generation that had suffered two world wars yet could not be bowed.

During the Covid pandemic, however, this ‘blitz spirit’ has been noticeably absent. There has been certainly very little in the way of a nation pulling together; in its place, there has been just a lot of bickering, mud-slinging and name calling-among politicians, activists, and the increasingly fragmented populace.

Inquisition Targets White Women for Their WrongThink

The magazine Teen Vogue (yes, I’m serious) recently published a nasty rebuke of people who voted for the current president. And they specifically called out white women:

“White women have to answer for backing the Republican nominee yet again.”

Bear in mind, Teen Vogue is a magazine that primarily caters to children. And what a fantastic lesson for young people! Let’s teach kids to hate other people who have ideological differences!

Teen Vogue, of course, is the same magazine that recently published an in-depth (no pun intended) anal sex guide for its teenage audience. And when parents complained, the publisher accused them of being ‘homophobes’.

Clearly Teen Vogue possesses both the journalistic professionalism and moral authority to preach ideological hate to young people.

Children’s Author Cancels Himself Over “Racially Insensitive” Illustration

A children’s author has asked people not to buy his first book, because of a racially insensitive illustration he was not aware of until the book went on sale.

The offensive image which the author said “made me sick,” was a Japanese girl dressed in a kimono, with her hair in a bun.

If courts uphold election laws, the vote fraud in the swing states will be overturned, and Trump will be declared the winner.  There is no doubt about the vote fraud. The question is whether Trump in the face of media hostility, Antifa/BLM violence, and weak-kneed Republicans will have the support to see the fight to the end.

Whoever ends up in the White House, the country is now irredeemably split. Red state Americans understand that the theft of the election is a coup against them.  They understand that white people have been demonized as racists and are becoming second class citizens in the land of the free.  It has taken them a long time to catch on, but the brazenness of the election theft and the media’s 100% coverup of the theft has brought their vulnerability as “white racists” home to them.

The problem that our country faces is that the Democrats and the media know, as well as the red states, that  the election was stolen.  They organized the theft.  They regard the theft as necessary in order to get rid of Trump, who has been demonized as racist, sexist, Russian agent, and declared by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to be a domestic enemy for refusing to accept the stolen election.

For the Democrats, media, and Antifa/BLM fascists who conduct Kristallnachts against white businesses, getting rid of Trump is more important than democratic outcomes.  The abandonment of democracy by one of the two major parties indicates that, as occurred in Rome, power is now the highest value.

Should Blacks Support Destruction of Charter Schools? by Walter E. William

Thousands of black parents try to get their kids into the charter schools that the Democrat establishment would like to eliminate. From Walter E. Williams at lewrockwell.com:

The academic achievement gap between black and white students has proven resistant to most educational policy changes. Some say that educational expenditures explain the gap, but is that true? Look at educational per pupil expenditures: Baltimore city ranks fifth in the U.S. for per pupil spending at $15,793. The Detroit Public Schools Community District spends more per student than all but eight of the nation’s 100 largest school districts, or $14,259. New York City spends $26,588 per pupil, and Washington, D.C., spends $21,974. There appears to be little relationship between educational expenditures and academic achievement.

The Nation’s Report Card for 2017 showed the following reading scores for fourth-graders in New York state’s public schools: Thirty-two percent scored below basic, with 32% scoring basic, 27% scoring proficient and 9% scoring advanced. When it came to black fourth-graders in the state, 19% scored proficient, and 3% scored advanced.

But what about the performance of students in charter schools? In his recent book, “Charter Schools and Their Enemies,” Dr. Thomas Sowell compared 2016-17 scores on the New York state ELA test. Thirty percent of Brooklyn’s William Floyd public elementary school third-graders scored well below proficient in English and language arts, but at a Success Academy charter school in the same building, only one did. At William Floyd, 36% of students were below proficient, with 24% being proficient and none being above proficient. By contrast, at Success Academy, only 17% of third-graders were below proficient, with 70% being proficient and 11% being above proficient. Among Success Academy’s fourth-graders, 51% and 43%, respectively, scored proficient and above proficient, while their William Floyd counterparts scored 23% and 6%, respectively. It’s worthwhile stressing that William Floyd and this Success Academy location have the same address.

Trump, the ‘Racist,’ Won More Minority Votes Than Any GOP Candidate Since 1960, by Rick Moran

Everyone knows that Donald Trump is a racist. How do we know? ‘Cause media says so, that’s how. Every single statement or off-the-cuff remark by Trump that could be deliberately misinterpreted or taken out of context, or twisted into meaning something entirely different, has been used to paint an ugly racist picture of the president.

With black Americans, it’s worked. A poll earlier this year found 83 percent of blacks believing Trump is a racist. How could they not with every media outlet telling them it’s so and many prominent blacks in politics, entertainment, and sports reinforcing the narrative every chance they get?

The so-called “leaders” of the minority communities were virulently opposed to Donald Trump’s re-election. It was nearly unanimous. There were notable exceptions, but brave it was for any black or Hispanic notable to back Trump in public.

But as it turns out, many minority voters tuned out the anti-Trump noise and made an independent decision to back the president.

Win or Lose, It Was a Good Election, by Gregory Hood

Even bad elections can have beneficial outcomes. From Gregory Hood at unz.com:

Many white advocates are unhappy about last night’s election results. They didn’t get the decisive Trump win they wanted and it’s suspicious that the president was leading in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and other states when the authorities decided they couldn’t finish counting votes until tomorrow. Texas and Florida didn’t have that problem. Fox News called Arizona for Joe Biden very early while it delayed calling an obvious Donald Trump victory in Florida.

We may never get an entirely convincing vote count for this election, but let us assume that Joe Biden wins, and wins fairly. Even in this “worst case” scenario, white advocates should be happy.

First, there was no “blue wave.” The polls were wrong, and media outlets look foolish. President Donald Trump did not lose Florida or Texas. I never thought President Trump would lose Florida, and I expected it would be closer than the polls predicted. Still, I thought Joe Biden would be the obvious victor by now and I was wrong.

Predictions that Joe Biden would win an overwhelming victory and come into office with a popular mandate were progressive fantasies. It’s almost as if polls were meant to direct public opinion, not measure it. And the results further discredit journalists, who are incapable of reporting fairly on Donald Trump — or on us.

There’s been a ton of talk the last six months about systemic and structural racism, but you’d be hard pressed to find any in the US. In fact, it goes the other way. From Vasko Kohlmayer at lewrockwell.com:

It has been said over and over that all the rioting, looting and destruction that has been inflicted upon America in the last six months is due to racism. We have been told repeatedly that America is an irredeemably racist society that discriminates against black people. “Systemic” and “structural” are the terms used to describe the nature of America’s alleged oppressiveness.

The stream of unceasing allegations has been kept up – unsurprisingly – by the political left. One of the recent examples is Michelle Obama who said this of Donald Trump in her pre-election message to the American people:

“So, what the president is doing is, once again, patently false. It’s morally wrong and, yes, it is racist.”

As the rest of them, Michelle Obama is a brazen liar. Donald Trump is not a racist and neither is this country. There is no systemic or structural racism in American society. Quite to the contrary, in America black people enjoy an array of rights and advantages that are unavailable to the rest of the American population and can only be described as Black Privilege. And this privilege is very efficacious indeed.
