Justin Trudeau Ducks the Great Trucker Revolt, by Jeffrey Tucker

Justin Trudeau is cut from the same slime mold as most U.S. politicians. From Jeffrey Tucker at brownstone.org:

The resistance reveals itself always in unexpected ways. As I type, thousands of truckers (numbers are in flux and are in dispute) are part of a 50-mile-long convoy in Canada, headed to the capital city of Ottawa in protest against an egregious vaccine mandate imposed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. They will be joined upon arrival by vast numbers of protestors who are defying the restrictions, closures, and mandates of the last nearly two years.

The triple-vaccinated Trudeau, meanwhile, has decided that he has to go into deep hiding because he was exposed to Covid. A clean, ruling-class, fit, and fashionable lefty like him cannot be expected to face such a pathogen directly. As a member of the vanguard of the lockdown elite, he must never take risks (however small) and must keep himself safe. It is merely a matter of coincidence that he will be locked away in hiding as the truckers arrive together with hundreds of thousands of citizens who are fed up with being treated like lab rats.

Previously, Trudeau had said nearly two years ago that the truckers were heroes. On March 31, 2020, he tweeted: “While many of us are working from home, there are others who aren’t able to do that – like the truck drivers who are working day and night to make sure our shelves are stocked. So when you can, please #ThankATrucker for everything they’re doing and help them however you can.”

It’s true. Like many “essential workers” in the US, these truckers bravely faced the virus and many already gained natural immunity, which Canadian law does not recognize. Trudeau decided that they needed to be forced to get the vaccine anyway. Keep in mind: these are the people who get food to the stores, packages to homes, and all products that keep life moving. If they don’t drive, the people don’t eat. It’s that simple. Now Trudeau must deal with #FreedomConvoy2022.

Truckers Across Planet Unite In Convoys Against Medical Tyranny, by Tyler Durden

In this era of supply chain issues and delivery problems, truckers have more leverage than any other employee group. They deserve a fulsome salute for using that leverage for freedom from medical tyranny. From Tyler Durden at zerohedge:

The 50,000 strong truck drivers heading to Ottawa, Canada’s capital, expected to arrive as early as Saturday, may break a world record for the longest convoy. Called the “Freedom Convoy,” the truck drivers oppose the federal government’s vaccine mandates for cross-border activity and have inspired others worldwide.

Truck drivers from Canada to the US to Australia to Europe are banding together in protests worldwide against their respective governments’ overreach of public health, especially forced vaccine mandates.

Freedom convoys from America are expected to join tens of thousands of truckers in Ottowa on Saturday to get the government to repeal cross-border COVID vaccine passports.

What’s Worse Than Catholic Churches Burning Down Across Canada? by Robert Bridge

Canada has an ideology that justifies criminality that’s similar to the BLM and Antifa ideological justification of crime. The response from Canada’s politicians has been similar to that of the Democratic party in the US. From Robert Bridge at strategic-culture.org:

The West is on the cusp of a massive right-wing backlash from reckless liberal policies that refuse law and order its rightful place in the political establishment.

Following the grim discovery of mass graves from Catholic-run schools for indigenous children, churches across Canada are being torched to the ground. Instead of the liberal government of Justin Trudeau harshly condemning the attacks, however, it has sent a weak and passive message to the arsonists.

There is no doubt that the history of Aboriginal children, physically removed from their parents and forced to attend state-run residential in Canada from the 1880s until 1996, is an appallingly tragic one. Inside of the Catholic schools, an estimated 150,000 attendees were indoctrinated with the new social and cultural values of the dominant Euro-Christian nation. Over the years, many of the children were sexually abused, tortured and even murdered in these “central training industrial schools,” criminal actors in what can be best described as the cultural genocide of an entire race of people.

In 2015, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada put out a lengthy report on the findings, as well as its recommendations for addressing the grievances. Yet for whatever reason, the Canadian media shied away from the story, possibly because it was too keenly aware exactly how complicit the government was in the egregious acts. Could that be the reason that not a single person has been put on trial for these crimes against humanity? Whatever the case may be, last month the suppressed news exploded to the surface like a volcano after nearly 1,000 unmarked graves were discovered on the territory of a former residential school in Saskatchewan province.

Canadian surgeon FIRED for voicing safety concerns over Covid jabs for children, from Off Guardian

Covid-19 totalitarianism is even more tyrannical in Canada than it is in the US. From off-guardian.org:

Dr Francis Christian, practising surgeon and clinical professor of general surgery at the University of Saskatchewan, has been immediately suspended from all teaching and will be permanently removed from his role as of September.

Dr Christian has been a surgeon for more than 20 years and began working in Saskatoon in 2007. He was appointed Director of the Surgical Humanities Program and Director of Quality and Patient Safety in 2018 and co-founded the Surgical Humanities Program. Dr. Christian is also the Editor of the Journal of The Surgical Humanities.

On June 17th Dr Christian released a statement to over 200 of his colleagues, expressing concern over the lack of informed consent involved in Canada’s “Covid19 vaccination” program, especially regarding children. (You read a PDF of that statement here.)

To be clear, Dr Christian’s position is hardly an extreme one.

He believes the virus is real, he believes in vaccination as a general principle, he believes the elderly and vulnerable may benefit from the Covid “vaccine”…he simply doesn’t agree it should be used on children, and feels parents are not being given enough information for properly informed consent.

Doug Casey on How Covid Hysterics Turned Canada into East Germany

It’s almost as if lurking under all those terribly polite and nice Canadians are terrible totalitarians yearning to get out. From Doug Casey at internationalman.com:

Canada restriction

International Man: Canada has instituted some of the strictest and most aggressive Covid measures in the world.

We’ve seen stay-at-home orders, SWAT raids on non-compliant businesses, forced detention in government facilities for those suspected of having the virus, and many other totalitarian measures.

What’s your take on this?

Doug Casey: Frankly, I didn’t expect things would get quite this out of control.

Nobody could be sure what to make of Covid early in 2020, but it certainly got a lot more publicity than any previous flu. The original refrain was, “We just want to flatten the curve so that everybody doesn’t get it all at once.” That kind of made sense—for two weeks. But the hysteria has risen to a level where carts should go through the streets with the drivers calling, “Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!”

I’m not a conspiracy guy. I think it’s hard enough getting a few friends to agree on what movie to see and where to go to dinner. How much harder to get thousands of miscreants to collaborate on practically destroying the world economy? But the “pandemic” seemed orchestrated from the very beginning, with practically every country in the world locking down. Even though it was established early on—but rarely reported—that the sickness only attacked the old, the sick, and the obese.

It was very suspicious. The Hong Kong flu, the Asian flu, the swine flu, the bird flu, and various other viral infections came and went the way viruses do. They spread, took casualties, and disappeared. Inconvenient and unpleasant, but a part of life. Why and how did this illness in particular turn into such a hysteria, even though it only affected a small and easily isolated portion of the population? Even though it’s not even remotely comparable to the Spanish Flu of 1918–19.

Undeniable fact: “Carbon Dioxide” is NOT a “pollutant” but a Giver of Life, by Dr. Klaus L.E. Kaiser

With all the measures out there against carbon dioxide and global warming, maybe we can get rid of carbon dioxide entirely, and maybe humanity as well. From Dr. Klaus L.E. Kaiser at iceagenow.info:

Open Letter to the Canadian Prime Minister from chemist Dr. Klaus L.E. Kaiser.

Dear Prime Minister,

Presumably, you’ve welcomed the Supreme Court’s ruling on the “carbon tax”.

It never fails to amaze me how “climate change” is being equated with “carbon dioxide” (commonly referred to simply as “carbon”) or even termed “carbon pollution.”  In fact, carbon dioxide (chemical symbol “CO2”) is the substance that is absolutely vital for all life on Earth!

The ruling only mentions “carbon” and “pollution.” That’s simply more misunderstanding, confusion, and “politics.”

Yes, “climate change” has been going on (up and down) ever since this planet came into existence. Just 22,000 years ago, the whole eastern part of Canada was covered with a 1 to 3 km thick sheet of ice. Since then, over a period of around 15,000 years, it just melted away with natural “climate change.”

Does any sane person really think it was because of some camp-fires by the few earthlings then inhabiting the continents? And, why should that natural process have stopped once the ice was gone? Furthermore, analyses of deep ice core samples showed that the carbon dioxide rose well after the ice began melting, with a time lag of nearly 1000 years.

The boogeyman is coming for you… no matter where in the world you are, by Simon Black

There are no geographical limits to the application of US law. From Simon Black at sovereignman.com:

The anti-terrorism unit suited up.

This was an international affair… a deal between the USA and New Zealand, two members of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance.

Helicopters, tactical suits, high caliber firearms—the whole shebang. They busted in the doors and successfully raided the multi-million-dollar compound.

What was this… capturing the next in line after Bin Laden? Busting an international human trafficking ring?

Actually, elite New Zealand law enforcement was acting at the request of the United States to arrest a guy named Kim Dotcom.

Kim Dotcom is a large, jovial man of German-Swedish origins. He founded Megaupload, an online platform that allowed us to basically watch movies online for free.

Unfortunately for Kim, a lot of that content included American movies, with American copyrights.

Canada: Shielded From the Populist Wave No Longer, by Benjamin L. Woodfinden

Justin Trudea, dashing progressive hero, may end up a goat if Canada’s seething populist discontent explodes. From Benjamin L. Woodfinded at The American Conservative via theburningplatform.com:

In the aftermath of the 2016 election and the rapid spread of populism around the globe, one country seemed immune: Canada. Justin Trudeau, the charismatic, dashing, and woke prime minister, sees himself as progressive liberalism’s leading light. But Canada is ripe for a populist revolt, and Trudeau may end up being its perfect catalyst.

Contrary to its mild-mannered international image, Canada has a long history of populism. Its upper crust are sometimes referred to as the “Laurentian elite.” Concentrated in downtown Toronto, Montréal, and Ottawa, these are Canada’s equivalent of East Coast elites. They dominate their country’s political, academic, cultural, media, and business institutions, and are ideologically homogeneous.

Older NAFTA 2.0: Free Trade or Central Planning? by Ron Paul

So-called free trade agreements are almost always managed trade agreements. From Ron Paul at ronpaulinstitute.com:

Last week the United States, Mexico, and Canada agreed to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with a new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Sadly, instead of replacing NAFTA’s managed trade with true free trade, the new USMCA expands government’s control over trade.

For example, under the USMCA’s “rules of origin,” at least 75 percent of a car’s parts must be from the US, Canada, or Mexico in order to avoid tariffs. This is protectionism designed to raise prices of cars using materials from outside North America.

The USMCA also requires that 40 to 45 percent of an automobile’s content be made by workers earning at least 16 dollars per hour. Like all government-set wages, this requirement will increase prices and decrease employment.

“Canada Just Got Played”: How Mexico Stabbed Canada In The Back, by Tyler Durden

Has Trump divided and conquered (at least as far as trade goes) North America? From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

In what was the biggest economic news of the day, Donald Trump concluded bilateral trade negotiations with Mexico, a deal which he called the US-Mexico Trade Agreement (profiled previously) and which will replace the trilateral NAFTA which has – for now at least – been scrapped until Canada also comes to the negotiating table and hammers out an agreement with the US (read: concedes), from a position of weakness and virtually no negotiating capital.

There were some odd twists in the announced deal, for example the agreement on the “sunset clause”, which as some pointed out is strange as it is a “trilateral matter” – i.e., one which would involve Canada – and it was unclear how it squares with the U.S.Mexico pledge that their talks were purely on bilateral issues.

Confirming that Trump was engaging in some good old “divide and conquer”, was the announcement from a White House official that, if Canada doesn’t agree to a renegotiated NAFTA, it will go ahead with a two-way deal with Mexico, although another official claimed that splitting up the negotiations is “standard practice and not about squeezing Canada.”

That may not have been exactly true because even though Mexico’s foreign minister Luis Videgaray said it’s necessary for Canada to be part of the deal, he then said that if a trilateral Nafta deal with Canada is impossible, a bilateral agreement between the U.S. and Mexico would also be acceptable.

At this point the alarm bells went off, and as Globe and Mail correspondent Adrian Morrow said, “it looks like the U.S. and Mexico went far beyond bilateral issues and agreed to a pile of trilateral stuff without Canada.” He also noted that while it was unclear whether any of the negotiated terms were okay with Canada, “it puts enormous pressure on Ottawa to agree or hold up the deal.”
