Greed, Power and the Tantalizing Acceptance of Wokeism, by TL Davis

One way to accumulate fortune, fame, and power is to adroitly cheer each new degenerate intellectual fad—like wokeism—and then jump off just before it fades and jump on the next one. From TL Davis at tldavis.substack.com:

I believe that what we are witnessing, as every reliable institution is undermined by greed, power and the tantalizing acceptance of wokeism, is the end…of everything. I don’t mean the end of days in the Biblical term, but an end to propriety, decency and morality. The Kari Lake decision almost shouts this truth from the rooftops: it’s all corrupt, everything and everyone. Every fact is disputed by illogical and unfathomable delusion, yet the lie wins time and time again.

I say this is the end of everything and part of that everything is whatever delusions Americans might have had about themselves. For a long time there were the principles of America: truth, justice and the American way, which meant the right way, the honest way, the up-front and straight-forward way, personified by no one better than John Wayne. But, like John Wayne, we all sort of knew that it was a front, an act, a role we played as Americans. Always there was the “yeah, but” recognition of reality, “yeah, but that was a movie;” “yeah, but we know there ain’t no Andy Taylors.”

We held onto this self-deception, because to believe in it all was a means of blocking out the worst of human nature. One might know there are pedophiles stalking children, but to acknowledge it, speak openly about it was to normalize it to a degree, so it was never mentioned. There were victims and perpetrators of pedophilia and still, it just wasn’t right to discuss it, other than to relate the just punishment for it.

It’s Not A Lie If You Believe It, by Jim Quinn

You may not fool all the people all the time, but it sure is easy to fool most of the people most of the time. From Jim Quinn at theburningplatform.com:

“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”George Orwell, 1984

It's not a lie if you believe it – Seinfeld Memes

“Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth.” ― Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

I wish I could go through a day without having to reference Orwell and Huxley when observing how the ruling class is able to manipulate, subjugate, and propagandize the willfully ignorant masses through lies, deceptions, disinformation, and fear. But here we are, living through a dystopian nightmare blending the worst aspects of Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World.

It’s as if O’Brien and Mustapha Mond are running the show, using behavioral conditioning, restricting freedom of speech, adhering to a strict caste system, surveilling everything we say or do, using our fears to control us, utilizing propaganda to produce false narratives, and ultimately threatening to stomp a boot on our faces forever if we do not obey and conform. Virtually everything we are told by politicians, government bureaucrats, military brass, “esteemed” journalists, medical “experts”, bankers, and corporate executives is lies. They do not believe their lies, but they know it benefits themselves financially to lie, and as long as they work together, they know the ignorant masses will believe them.

George tells Jerry “It’s not a lie if you believe it” as he is going to take a lie detector test. I wonder how Fauci, Biden, Hillary, Obama, Comey, Wray, Pelosi, and the slew of other Deep State coup conspirators would fare on a lie detector test about Russiagate, Covidgate, J6 Insurrectiongate, and Vaccinegate. Based on the titanic volume of lies they have spewed over the last several years, I’m sure the machine would overheat and explode if hooked up to any of this traitorous vile scum.

What Did Nancy Pelosi Know and When Did She Know It? By Julie Kelly

All of the January 6 proceedings have been a sham, but what has that sham obscured or hidden? From Julie Kelly at amgreatness.com:

The January 6 select committee never intended to act as a truth-seeking mission but rather perform a cover-up for what actually happened.

The January 6 select committee finally released its long-delayed report late on December 23 after most Americans had happily turned away from politics to enjoy the Christmas weekend with family and friends. The Friday night news dump, a common tactic when government officials want to bury something controversial, was not exactly a vote of confidence in the panel’s ultimate work product.

As expected, the bulk of the 845-page document spun a well-worn tale that portrayed Donald Trump as the sole villain in a so-called “insurrection” the committee wants us to believe was engineered to keep him in the White House. Page after page included dramatic interpretations of snippets from witness testimony intended to bolster the committee’s preconceived conclusions.

Analysis of how law enforcement and intelligence services failed to prepare for the “attack,” a promise made by the committee in its original sell job to the public, is buried in a relatively brief appendix at the end. And despite confirmation the government was aware violence might occur—the FBI used a threat tag, “CERTUNREST2021,” purportedly to categorize in advance information related to January 6—federal and local agencies did not prevent what the Biden regime branded a terror attack comparable to 9/11. (FBI Director Christopher Wray’s name is not mentioned once in the report and it appears unlikely he sat for a transcribed interview.)

Even so, in the face of extensive evidence that those agencies were on high alert, committee members still faulted Trump: “Few in law enforcement predicted that the President of the United States would incite a mob attack on the Capitol, that he would send them to stop the joint session knowing they were armed and dangerous, that he would further incite them against his own vice President while the attack was underway, or that he would do nothing to stop the assault for hours,” the report dishonestly stated.

WHAT IF….. By Hardscrabble Farmer

What if Covid and the Ukraine-Russia war are just psyops to enslave the world, and Putin and Xi are just part of the script? From Hardscrabble Farmer at theburningplatform.com:

Being There - Rotten Tomatoes

If one were cynical enough they might look at the last year as an effort of the Globalists not to undermine Russia and defeat it, but rather as a means to get them to rebuild their military forces to levels not seen since WWII. Ditto the Western powers. Perhaps, rather than an actual war in Ukraine where no one has eyes to see what is actually unfolding, this may have been a means of those who frequent the WEF conferences to build a force capable of defeating internal resistance of the people being crushed under the totalitarian practices world-wide. Ditto the “conflict” with China. Covid, for all it’s byzantine intrigues looks in the rear-view mirror to be a lot more like a well coordinated Sino-American Psy-Ops than a divisive era.

What Will the FBI Not Do? By Victor Davis Hanson

Is the FBI ever stopped from doing whatever it wants to do? From Victor Davis Hanson at amgreatness.com:

Who watches the watchers?

The FBI on Wednesday finally broke its silence and responded to the revelations on Twitter of close ties between the bureau and the social media giant—ties that included efforts to suppress information and censor political speech.

“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the bureau said in a statement. “As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers. The men and women of the FBI work every day to protect the American public. It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.”

Almost all of the FBI communique is untrue, except the phrase about the bureau’s “engagements which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries.”

Future disclosures will no doubt reveal similar FBI subcontracting with other social media concerns of Silicon Valley to stifle free expression and news deemed problematic to the FBI’s agenda.

The FBI did not merely engage in “correspondence” with Twitter to protect the company and its “customers.” Instead, it effectively hired Twitter to suppress the free expression of some of its users, as well as news stories deemed unhelpful to the Biden campaign and administration—to the degree that the bureau’s requests sometimes even exceeded those of Twitter’s own left-wing censors.

Bill Gates Global Takeover Is Official, by Dr. Joseph Mercola

Bill Gates essentially controls all of the world’s main health organizations. From Dr. Joseph Mercola at lewrockwell.com:

What is the World Health Organization, and what is it for, really? In the Children’s Health Defense (CHD) video above, Dr. Meryl Nass interviews investigative journalist James Corbett of The Corbett Report about the weaponization of the WHO. Nass also published a Substack with additional background information for this episode.

The WHO is actually a specialized agency within the United Nations. It was initially established in 1948 to “further international cooperation for improved public health conditions,” but we can now see that the long-term goal of the WHO is to serve as a foundation or hub for a one world government under the auspice of coordinating and ensuring global biosecurity.

This becomes self-evident when you review the proposed amendments1 to the existing International Health Regulations (IHR) and the new pandemic treaty, which Nass and Corbett review in the featured video.

I also provided details about the treaty in “What You Need to Know About the WHO Pandemic Treaty.” Below, I will primarily focus on the proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR).

Will 2023 Be “Just an Average Recession in an Average Year” or Will It Be Transformational? By Charles Hugh Smith

SLL has a hunch 2023 will be transformational. From Charles Hugh Smith at oftwominds.com:

It shouldn’t surprise us if 2023 turns out to be atypical and disruptively transformational in ways few believe possible.

It seems expectations about 2023 cleave neatly into two camps: the dominant mainstream view is that 2023 will be economically difficult due to a mild recession, but this will be nothing more than a run-of-the-mill recession.

Inflation will likely moderate but remain higher than recent averages. Everything else–politics, social issues, entertainment, fashion, social media, etc.–will continue on whatever path it is currently on.

In other words, 2023 will be much like any other year.

The implicit assumption in the mainstream view is that historical cycles are figments of fevered imaginations. The flow of human history is entirely contingent and follows no pattern or cycle.

The much smaller “outlier” camp sees the potential for a disruptive transformational year.

Those of us who conclude cycles are based on the ebb-and-flow dynamics of credit, energy and human nature and are therefore not just real but consequential despite their predictive imprecision see 2023 as a potential pivot in cycles which entered a new phase in the 2020-2021 time frame.

This cyclical shift isn’t a result of Covid or the response to Covid. It’s the result of diminishing returns and the exhaustion of the dynamics which powered the previous era: hyper-financialization, hyper-globalization and low-cost, abundant energy.

What It’s Really About, by James Howard Kunstler

No rules, take no prisoners politics explains a lot about the way the U.S. is now. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

“It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.” —FBI Press release in response to the Twitter files.

What’s most appalling about the Twitter revelations of the Intel Community’s years-long strangle-hold on social media is not just the evil fuckery itself of the FBI, CIA, and others colluding to gaslight the US electorate, but the fact that there is no institution in the land that can intervene to adjudicate or discipline these rogue agencies. Nobody expects the FBI’s parent, the Department of Justice, to look into any of this.

Not so many years ago, the force counter-balancing criminal misconduct in the government was the news media, even if the reporters and editors claimed to be on the political Left. Or, shall we say, especially if they were on the Left, because the Left in those days fervently championed free speech. Reporters of that long-ago day (Seymour Hersh, John Sack, and Michael Herr) would be out digging up the true facts of a big event — say, the US Military’s deadly blunders and scams in Vietnam — and editors would plaster screaming headlines about it on the front page: GENERAL SAYS “WE HAD TO DESTROY THE VILLAGE TO SAVE IT!” When the venerable news-spieler Walter Cronkite of CBS began to hint that the war was a fiasco, public opinion across the country shifted decisively against it.

Of course, those crimes and sins were committed against people in distant lands. Now, the administrative weight of the US is rolling over its own citizens, and over the Constitution — and the news media is uniformly and enthusiastically in favor of suppressing the news about it. How that happened is one of several cosmic mysteries of our time, along with who exactly runs “Joe Biden,” and how did the many nations of Western Civ adopt in lock-step Covid-19 policies aimed at harming their own people?

It Was Always About Control, by Richard Kelly

From day one, none of the coronavirus response made any sense unless you assumed up front that it was all about control. From Richard Kelly at brownstone.org:

Early on in March 2020 I was leery of the hysteria surrounding Covid and decided my course of action was to be wait and see. At the time I was under the impression that I was a freeborn citizen with a number of unalienable rights, including sovereignty over my bodily choices.

So when the talk started about new vaccines being imminent, I again decided I would wait and see whether the vaccines were all they were cracked up to be. This was then, and is now, an entirely reasonable position to take, screeching from media and Twitter hounds notwithstanding. I didn’t expect it would turn out to be more like “wait and see how totally out of hand this will get.”

  • Wait and see how the government will forcibly close businesses
  • Wait and see how treatments will be suppressed
  • Wait and see how hysteria captured the media
  • Wait and see how healthy populations will be subject to house arrest
  • Wait and see how police will shoot protesters
  • Wait and see how a pregnant mother will be arrested for a Facebook post
  • Wait and see how medical services across state borders will be denied
  • Wait and see how ‘wait and see-ers’ will be demonized
  • Wait and see how family and friends will betray their loved ones

Well, I’ve waited long enough and I’ve seen more than enough. Thankfully the worst, most violent excesses have abated for now, if you exclude the ongoing carnage of short and long-term vaccine injury. There are lingering abominations from the blitzkrieg of lockdowns and vaccine mandates, but generally there is a sense that an uneasy peace, or maybe a phoney war, has descended on us.

Of course, there is still a serious amount of Covid pantomime going on.

History Lesson: Trust Gold Rather than Sovereigns, by Matthew Piepenburg

Gold never started a war or did any of the other heinous things that governments have done. From Matthew Piepenburg at goldswitzerland.com:

Below, we consider a blender of history, simple math, sober facts and comical arrogance to better understand gold’s loyalty in a time of disloyal financial stewardship.

Hubris Comes Before the Fall

History (whether on battle fields or sports fields) is riddled with tragi-comical examples of human blundering (and hubris) in the face of otherwise obvious and self-inflicted risk—you know: The final swagger just before imminent defeat.

Remember “Mission accomplished”?

Like well-dressed officers steaming the Titanic at full speed ahead despite repeated ice warnings, the arrogant yet misguided faith our central planners/bankers have in their “unsinkable” financial (i.e., Keynesian) models and verbal platitudes is astonishing.

If the financial model, for example, says “raise rates to fight inflation,” then the model must be right—especially given the credentials of our elite “model followers,” all collectively swimming within an echo-chamber of model-making, yes-saying, self-selecting and PhD-affirming back-slappers from MIT to Stanford, U-Chicago to Harvard Yard.
