Goodbye America, by Philip Giraldi

In a process that’s well on its way, the welcome mat has been put out for immigrants and it’s become almost impossible to define a recognizable America or American ideology. Soon, they won’t exist at all. From Philip Giraldi at unz.com:

A country that cannot control its own borders cannot survive

There is new evidence of how the Biden Administration’s total disregard for reality evident in its blundering its way into war with Russia has severely damaged what once used to be referred to as national security. And while the White House and its media barking dogs continue to push the false argument that Russia’s intervention in Ukraine is somehow a threat to the United States, many thousands of illegal immigrants and alleged political refugees continue to enter the country under the radar without any serious attempt being made to determine if the flood of new arrivals is in any way beneficial.

This flow of illegals will undoubtedly increase dramatically with the fighting in Ukraine, which will produce the usual wave of refugees, most of whom will likely be Jewish based on the reality of who has power in Washington DC and will be able to influence the selection process. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already declared that his country is prepared to welcome thousands of Ukrainian refugees and he has predictably appointed a Jewish former Member of Parliament as government minister to lead the effort. Appointee Richard Harrington is also a former head of Conservative Friends of Israel.

There have been reports that claim Ukrainians, aided by charities in the US, are already heading towards Mexico in significant numbers, buying up cheap used cars and heading north to the border to claim asylum. As this development continues and accelerates, the shifting demographics which have already changed the character of the nation will almost certainly do more damage to the economy and the cultural and political cohesion of the United States.

What is U.S. Border Patrol Doing 6,000 Miles from the Border? By Kenric Ward

The article excoriates the Biden administration’s priorities, which are not shared by most Americans. From SLL contributor Kenric Ward:

Indicating that it is more concerned with serving foreign nationals than safeguarding U.S. security, the Biden administration is again poaching Border Patrol officers from the chaotic U.S.-Mexico border.

Federal border agents are being solicited – with a sweetened lure of overtime pay – to redeploy to Poland to assist in processing refugees fleeing the Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is the second time in a year for such a move.

If past is prologue, “Operation Ukraine Support” will have problems. The diversion of U.S. border personnel to screen Afghanis last summer allowed multiple security risks into this country, according to an inspector general’s report last month.

Further thinning the thin green line at America’s southern border, one of the busiest and most dangerous in the world, goes beyond bureaucratic bungling and misplaced priorities. It is an unconscionable dereliction of duty at a time of ongoing, historic waves of illegal migration into this country.

Instead of diverting and diluting resources, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) should be addressing chronic attrition in its Border Patrol ranks, and filling longstanding vacancies. But that’s nowhere on the agenda.

Demoralized by the Biden administration’s systematic dismantling of immigration enforcement, career Border Patrol officers feel like they’ve devolved into a paper-pushing “U.S. Welcome Patrol” for illegal aliens.

While spinning on its new Russia-Ukraine-Poland axis thousands of miles from U.S. shores, the White House continues to lose focus on American interests. Two recent reports by the Federation for American Immigration Reform illustrate the situation.

DHS is brazenly subverting court rulings that ordered reinstatement of the Remain in Mexico program at the border. Of 332,781 border encounters in a recent two-month period, a paltry 410 illegal aliens (0.0012 percent) were actually returned to Mexico. Oral arguments on this debacle are scheduled at the U.S. Supreme Court next month.

Meantime, even the ballyhooed increase in alien “encounters” comes with an asterisk. Beyond the administration’s superficial claims and sensational headlines, rising numbers of illegal aliens are being waved into the U.S. while deportations are in sharp decline.

President Biden may hope that engaging in the Ukrainian crisis will distract from, or somehow excuse, rising inflation and other economic woes on the home front. But his open-border schemes, including ever-widening pathways for foreign workers to take U.S. jobs, remain persistently unpopular with Americans. Even the White House’s own polling shows him deeply underwater on immigration.

Sending border staff to overseas theaters doesn’t fix any of that – and, in fact, only makes a bad situation worse.

Bloviating about the sovereignty of far-flung lands while breaking down border enforcement here at home is worse than oxymoronic. It’s borderline sedition.

The Unicultural Edge, by Steve Sailer

The Chinese look at racial issues much differently than Americans do. From Steve Sailer at takimag.com:

The Unicultural Edge

A formerly secret 2013 Pentagon report, The Strategic Consequences of Chinese Racism: A Strategic Asymmetry for the United States, argues “China is a racist superpower.” It makes for eye-opening reading on how both the Chinese people and the American deep state think.

This book-length paper, which was posted online as the result of Freedom of Information Act litigation and then discovered by Twitter user @s_decatur, is by an author whose name remains redacted. But we know for sure that it was commissioned by the legendary nonagenarian strategist Andrew Marshall.

This shadowy mandarin started his career as a machinist in Detroit during WWII, then joined the RAND Corporation in 1949 to do Dr. Strangelove-like nuclear war planning. Henry Kissinger brought him into the Nixon White House and in 1973 Defense Secretary James Schlesinger created the enigmatic Office of Net Assessment for Marshall to think deep thoughts like a terrestrial Hari Seldon about the future of superpower rivalries.

“The great Chinese advantage over both the United States and Russia is that it’s less of an empire and more of a nation-state.”

He served as Director of Net Assessment in a windowless suite of Pentagon offices for 42 years under thirteen secretaries of defense until his retirement in 2015 at age 93, when he was said to be the oldest federal worker ever. A Chinese general considered Marshall perhaps China’s wisest foe and referred to the ancient seer as “Yoda.”

Nobody outside the Pentagon knows all that much about his views—not even secretaries of defense were allowed to keep copies of his highest-level write-ups known as “net assessments.” Only one copy of each was printed and when the cabinet officer finished reading it, Marshall put it back in his safe.

How China Does Immigration, by Kenric Ward

China’s immigration policy makes a whole lot more sense than the U.S.’s. From a direct submission by SLL reader Kenric Ward:

As millions of illegal aliens stream across the U.S. southern border and the Biden administration moves to import more foreign workers, China’s government has pursued a decidedly different immigration policy which has helped to expand that nation’s middle class.

More than 1 million legal migrants arrive in the U.S. annually, and an estimated 1.4 million illegal aliens (a group the size of San Diego) entered this country just last year. Currently, America is home to more than 48 million foreign-born residents, and counting.

Contrast that incoming tidal wave with China, which has barely 1 million immigrants, total. According to the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), only about 10,000 individuals were granted resident status in China between 2004 and 2016 (less than 900 per year). Naturalization figures are even lower.

Though China’s supply of rural workers is shrinking and growth in rural-urban migration has abated, Beijing has not resorted to U.S.-style mass immigration. Instead, the communist-capitalist nation selectively targets a limited cadre of professional, commercial and educational migrants.

Will France Wake Up and Defend Her Freedom – or Not? By Giulio Miotti

Islam has established a parallel society in France and other parts of Europe that steadily encroaches on traditional Europe. The question is: what are France and rest of Europe going to do about it? From Giulio Miotti at gatestoneinstitute.org:

The threats and attempts to intimidate prove the danger presented by those committed to creating a new society by force and terror: If you criticize me, I will kill you — behead you or slit your throat. Fear works. No one wants to see their name on an internet hit list, or falsely be called racist. Journalists studiously look the other way and are nowhere to be found. (Images source: iStock)

“What else do you need to wake up and understand that we have to defend ourselves?”, asked the late Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci.

We should be worried about Europe. It is the cradle of European culture, especially France. Henry James, in The Ambassadors, writes about France as the epitome of civilization, as the “eldest daughter of the Church”. Now, however, France’s churches are being burned, demolished and abandoned, and its adherents sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. France’s Jews, “the canaries in the coalmine”, are being physically attacked and leaving their country. Since 2000, more than 60,000 have fled.

In the face of this massive assault on freedom and culture, an army of “useful idiots” is siding with the enemies of civilization. Professor Robert Redeker was forced into hiding after criticizing radical Islam and now has to be protected by police.

Mohamed Sifaoui’s mobile phone contains 853 numbers of police and security officers: all assigned to protect him. Some have retired, others have been transferred, many are still active. His driver began his career with him. “It will be nineteen years in April,” Sifaoui told Le Point. “I met him young and we grew old together”. This journalist, a specialist in terrorism and radical Islam, holds a record: since 2003, he has intermittently been living under the eyes of the police. “I happened to have up to six bodyguards, with men posted in front of my building, long guns in hand. When I couldn’t take it anymore, I went on assignments abroad to get away from it all”.

What Matters Most to Nations and Peoples? By Patrick J. Buchanan

Most Americans are far more concerned with our nation’s borders, particularly the southern one, than they are with the territorial integrity of Ukraine. From Patrick J. Buchanan at buchanan.org:

Speaking in Conroe, Texas, last weekend, former President Donald Trump accused his successor of allowing millions of migrants to enter the country illegally across our Southern border.

“The most important border … for us is not Ukraine’s border but America’s border,” thundered Trump.

“Before Joe Biden sends any troops to defend a border in Europe, he should be sending troops to defend our border right here in Texas.”

Thus did Trump not only frame a compelling issue for the fall election; he has framed an issue that touches on one of the great and deepening divides of our time.

Which matters more — the defense of our country from an invasion of migrants from the Third World, or the defense of the borders of distant nations that have little or nothing to do with the security or survival of the United States?

Why should who rules the Russified Donbas be America’s concern?

This “border issue” feeds into other Republican issues.

For the border crossers seen on national TV appear to be mostly young men, who will likely contribute to the crime crisis of shootings and killings plaguing America’s cities.

Illegal immigration is also the ways and means by which illegal drugs enter the United States. Last year, 100,000 Americans, most of them young, died of overdoses, with two-thirds of these Americans succumbing to fentanyl that is produced in China and comes through Mexico.

Non-Citizen Voting Push Is Part Of Agenda To Rid America Of Citizenship: Election Expert, by Charlotte Cuthbertson

Is there any country on the planet that allows people who are not citizens of that country to determine who will run it? From Charlotte Cuthbertson at The Epoch Times at zerohedge.com:

The recent New York City law to allow at least 800,000 noncitizens to vote in municipal elections is unconstitutional and likely to be overturned in court, said Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundation’s election law reform initiative and former member of the Federal Election Commission.

It’s actually pretty clear that it violates the New York State Constitution—it has a provision that specifically says that you have to be a citizen to vote in all elections in the state of New York, and that includes local elections,” Spakovsky told The Epoch Times on Jan. 19.

“I also think it is bad from a policy point of view, because it basically cheapens and diminishes the concept of citizenship.

It ought to be something that makes American citizens mad, particularly because of the potential number of aliens that’s involved.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams allowed the measure to become law on Jan. 9, which includes the provision that voting noncitizens must be in the city for 30 days or more and have authorization to work.

Europe’s Multicultural Volcano, by Giulio Meotti

Islam is changing the character of Europe and on present trend will dominate it in a few decades. From Giulio Meotti at gatestoneinstitute.org:

  • “[E]nclaves, mini-states and neighborhoods in large European cities will begin to appear. Yes, they will always be a minority. But they are more united and threaten violence. And the state will have to obey their instructions”. — Sergei Markov, Russian political scientist, interview in Lenta.ru, January 3, 2022.
  • Many of the migrants already live on the generosity of European welfare, even as the police, social workers and ambulances do not enter these areas or must be protected when they do.
  • In these lost areas, we are no longer in Europe.
  • On December 8, 2021, during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, 30 of the Catholic faithful were attacked in the street and threatened with death. The attackers shouted, “kuffars” (“infidels”) and “it is not your home”, Le Figaro reported. “Wallah [I swear] on the Koran, we will cut your throat”, attackers told the priest who opened the procession. This took place not in Pakistan, but in Nanterre, France.
  • In Brussels, according to former Secretary of State Bianca Debaets, “there are too many areas where it is difficult for women and homosexuals to walk”.
  • Although women of foreign nationality are only one-sixth of all women of childbearing age in Belgium, half of all children in Belgium are now born to foreign women…. This is the picture that just emerged from the National Institute of Statistics.
  • One-third of Belgium’s population is of foreign origin; Belgians are already in the minority in Brussels….
  • But as everyone knows, the “Great Replacement” is just a far-right fantasy….
  • This multicultural volcano is not a threat only in the distant future of Europe; it is already in place. The big question is: why is it not stopped?
  • This transformation is the single most important event in Europe. That anyone who reports about it is accused of “racism” and “Islamophobia” suggests that it is a secret too huge and important to be freely discussed.
“We in the West are used to seeing women everywhere around us,” Ayaan Hirsi Ali (pictured) writes in her new book, Prey, before describing that in certain parts of Brussels, London, Paris and Stockholm, “you suddenly notice that only men are visible,” as women “erase themselves” from public spaces. (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images)

“If Europe does not regain control, Islamized mini-states could soon appear”. The prediction comes from the Russian political scientist Sergei Markov. In an interview published by Lenta.ru, Markov notes that European institutions are adapting to the Islamic way of life, values and traditions (the recent campaigns of the Council of Europe in favor of the Muslim veil is an example), and adds:

“Fully Islamized Islamic enclaves, mini-states and neighborhoods in large European cities will begin to appear. Yes, they will always be a minority. But they are more united and threaten violence. And the state will have to obey their instructions”.

Forecast 2022 — Dumpster Fire Blazing on the Frontier of a Dark Age, by James Howard Kunstler

This is an incisive and comprehensive analysis of where we are now. From James Howard Kunstler at kunstler.com:

If 2021 was the year of maximum corruption, political decadence, and mind-fuckery in US history, 2022 is looking like a convulsive snap-back to the harrowing rigors of reality, spiked with shocking losses, reckonings, and not a little retribution for the rogues and reprobates who drove our country into a ditch. Quandaries abound now in the wreckage of economy, culture, and polity. The years of anything-goes-and-nothing-matters have ended — though you might not know it yet, at this very advent of Twenty-Double-Deuce. Welcome to the banquet of consequences. Soup’s on!

The American people have been played backwards and forwards, inside and out, through and through, and up and down; driven to the very edge of national suicide by a combine of enemies within and without. If China’s CCP wanted to take maximum advantage of a weakened, confused USA, they couldn’t have found more zealous help-mates than the seditious Democratic Party, along with Dr. Anthony Fauci’s treasonous public health empire, the murderous pharmaceutical companies, the recklessly dishonest news media, and a demonic host of federal agencies, especially the three-stooge “Intel Community” — the CIA (Moe), DOJ (Larry), FBI (Curley) — plus the many secret horror chambers in the Pentagon. Throw in the Big Tech tyrants, the Marxist mandarins on campus, and the satanic narcissists of Hollywood. Oh, and let’s not forget the evil principality of grift and swindling that is Wall Street.

Biden’s Troubled Relationship With the Truth – and Consequences, by Andy Puzder

People don’t trust Biden and the rest of the Democratic cohort because they lie a lot. There’s an obvious solution, but don’t look for it happening anytime soon. From Andy Puzder at realclearpolitics.com:

Biden's Troubled Relationship With the Truth – and Consequences

(AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

President Biden’s approval rating has plummeted, and Democrats wonder why. The United States is facing hardships, but hardships alone don’t make a president unpopular. Leaders who are honest about the problems we face and forthright about the solutions they offer tend to do well (think, say, of Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan). Unfortunately, that is not the leadership Americans are getting from this president.

Instead, the Biden administration has tried to convince the public of things that are not just untrue but implausible. To note a few, Biden did not (and does not) have a “national strategy” to defeat COVID; our southern border is not “secure;” the Afghan withdrawal was not an “extraordinary success”; the current bout of inflation is neither “temporary” nor “a good thing”; and government spending never takes “the pressure off of inflation.”

Of course, politicians often overstate things and sometimes outright lie. Nothing new there. It’s the in-your-face nature of the administration’s falsehoods that is stunning.

For a recent example, take Biden’s efforts to promote his Build Back Better bill. The administration often claims that the legislation really “costs zero dollars” because it is “paid for.” Most Americans realize that paying for something doesn’t make it free. Otherwise, literally everything would be free. Seriously, people get this.
